Curiously i just clicked this and now i am subscribing this channel due to its ease of teaching. kudos .. Its more than everything for the people who wants to start with " after effects"
The first time I ever used after effects was a few years ago for a Logo animation and I had a really hard time trying to get into it. I was trying to find which After Effects video tutorial was so good, it changed how I think about every single program after. ("How can I distill all of these intimidating buttons down to the 3-4 core things we really need to do?") I knew I'd found the right one when I saw my own comment again lol The way you broke down After Effects also helped me overcome my intimation to learn Fusion 360, Shap3D, and even Javascript. Standout job, even years later.

Goes by WAY too fast, and yet, it's perfect. In 10 minutes, I've got the vibe of it and I can always replay or reduce the play speed to get a key element later. At the very least, I've gotten 20-30 minutes of "Simple things you can and will be doing in AE unless you're not using AE" packed into 10 minutes, which lets me assess how I want to go forward in understanding those things better. Very helpful. :)
I thought I knew the after effects basics and was just following along the video until you showed how to precompose and duplicate a comp. Mind blown, that's so helpful.

You made this so concise, clear, easy to understand and follow. You are a life saver! Thank you thank you THANK YOU!
I appreciate this video so much. I recently started to polish up some old hobbies of mines like editing even it comes to photography and videography. So hearing all about adobe and learning all the platforms was intimating. But even how you just explain the button functions, and even process made me realize I’m not as clueless as I thought. 🎉❤
I've been trying to use AE for months now and i cry trying lmao... It's so hard when the majority of the editing community use after effects and i find it so hard to import photos/videos 😂😂 You 've helped me so much and I think ive watched this video over about 1000 times
This was my first video on learning After Effects. It was funny, information and as you said at the end, this program can be daunting, but I feel I have a good grounding in what is possible thanks to you. I'm going to watch the next 15 videos. I've already subscribed. You're highly creative as well and I look forward to more learning. Keep up the good work!
Broo. I have a final meeting for the video editing position with the creative head of the firm in 2 hours, and I was stressing over after effects. Thank god I found this video. Just amazing. Now I'll hit them with the text. Thank you so muxh.
This video actually helped so much I was kind of worried and scared to use it but you made it sound so easy and simple and now I'm not against using it thank you!
I’ve had some experience with editing with things such as final cut and premiere but ae was confusing to me and pretty daunting but this helped me learn the basis of ae in literally 8 minutes and you explained this insanely well and no I should be able to search for other effects such as time remapping and masking
If you ever feel you have wasted your time making this video, remember this, this video helped understand the basic to get me started. Im good to be going on my own, THanks!
First off, incredible work in general! You've inspired me to add motion design to my skillset. Could you do a tutorial on how to structure scenes and transitions for longer projects? Or maybe send a message? Im having a bit of trouble understanding when to comp/pre-comp/split up scenes, and when to do them in one comp! Also just general transition tips! Thanks!
i'be been working as a motion graphics animator and video editor with after effects for like 5 or 6 years now almost daily, but i'm so insecure and curious that i watch the full thing expecting you to say something super basic that i have somehow miss all this years. I was sweatting man. Anyway, amazing videos! Super helpfull stuff, i owe you at this point at least a full meal and a couple of beers, i'll go ahead.
This is the best crash course. I already know a lot of the stuff in the video coming from other programs but still needed a 'tour' of AE to know where everything is and this was perfect in a clear, short, way that I haven't found elsewhere

This is my first introduction to AE and no doubt you have made it a lot less intimidating. Thank you 👍
Haven't touched AE in years and needed a refresher, thanks for a sweet and simple tutorial!
Love the subtle touch of humor mixed with high-quality learning!
i love your channel, thanks a lot. i started learning after effects 2 years ago, and your videos are so helpful, high quality and clear explanation.
Great to hear! thank you! :)
This made the prospect of learning AE way less daunting and I'm feeling so much more motivated to start after watching this great tutorial. Thank you. :)
It's for free?
Thank you SO MUCH Ben Marriott! I am taking a college class, and the teacher wizzed through so much that I couldnt keep up and was looking at me like im dumb every time I asked a question, so I was freaking out how to do this next project, and you just saved my backside! You made this so concise, clear, easy to understand and follow. You are a life saver! Thank you thank you THANK YOU!
I was on the brink of tears of sheer frustration
I appreciate this video so much. I recently started to polish up some old hobbies of mines like editing even it comes to photography and videography. So hearing all about adobe and learning all the platforms was intimating. But even how you just explain the button functions, and even process made me realize I’m not as clueless as I thought. 🎉❤
thank you very much

hey dimitreze, subscribe if you find my content entertaining :).
I've been trying to use AE for months now and i cry trying lmao... It's so hard when the majority of the editing community use after effects and i find it so hard to import photos/videos 😂😂 You 've helped me so much and I think ive watched this video over about 1000 times
please can check this video i realize this for pink october : ua-cam.com/video/Hy6wKKQF6ls/v-deo.html
So helpful!!!
I think this is the best video on UA-cam. Bravo, mate! 🎉
Me : *_Watches this at 2x speed and learns it in 5 minutes_*
This made me laugh more than once...and I learned the basics of After Effects. Thank you, Ben!
Thank you for this tutorial! Really helped me get over my fear of after effects!
This was so helpful!!! So when I pretend I know AE I will be ok 😆. Your humor is great! As well as this video 🙂
I’ve had some experience with editing with things such as final cut and premiere but ae was confusing to me and pretty daunting but this helped me learn the basis of ae in literally 8 minutes and you explained this insanely well and no I should be able to search for other effects such as time remapping and masking
9:39 yes, yes you have
I just picked up the very first piece of information on how to use Adobe Aftereffects from you. Thank you very much my teacher.
If you ever feel you have wasted your time making this video, remember this, this video helped understand the basic to get me started. Im good to be going on my own, THanks!
omfg .. i lied on my job interview and I'm in the bathroom watching this video XD XD XD XD XD

“But it’s animated and no one can take that away from you” lmao
First off, incredible work in general! You've inspired me to add motion design to my skillset. Could you do a tutorial on how to structure scenes and transitions for longer projects? Or maybe send a message? Im having a bit of trouble understanding when to comp/pre-comp/split up scenes, and when to do them in one comp! Also just general transition tips! Thanks!

No hype, no build up, Just Got what we want, well done Marriot!!!
i'be been working as a motion graphics animator and video editor with after effects for like 5 or 6 years now almost daily, but i'm so insecure and curious that i watch the full thing expecting you to say something super basic that i have somehow miss all this years. I was sweatting man.
Anyway, amazing videos! Super helpfull stuff, i owe you at this point at least a full meal and a couple of beers, i'll go ahead.
can you tell me how you downloaded After effects
thanks a lot
Learn After Effects in 10 Minutes!

I think I can shave off those 8 seconds in my next speedrun :D
@@BenMarriott jk great video u r the best
@@zadogholovbeza Thanks so much :D Glad you're enjoying them

Made me laugh
This is the best crash course. I already know a lot of the stuff in the video coming from other programs but still needed a 'tour' of AE to know where everything is and this was perfect in a clear, short, way that I haven't found elsewhere
I'm currently taking an after effects class and idk any other video editing software, so it's really intimidating. Thank you for making it simple ;0;
“First day of work, watching this in the bathroom”
I got the job- it's literally the day before D-Day
Back in the day when I thought kinemaster was the hardest editing app I've ever used ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
🤣😂🤣 when you’re actually watching this video whilst in the bathroom 🚽 🙈🙊.
Impressive tutorial! You've managed to condense essential After Effects skills into just 10 minutes, making it accessible for beginners.
Best starter video I've watched today brother. Vinaka vakalevu from Fiji
Mic drop the iPhone into the toilet. Nice touch 😅
Haha, was so glad I found that stock footage. :D Thanks for watching
