Yep! My ex missus used to use the age old science of the colour of the silks.
And she won more than I ever did.
Can someone tell me the commentator at the start and finish of the race?
Had no chance on official ratings bookies delight
The greatest horse race in the world, hands down.
Sam Waley-Cohen is the second amateur to win the Grand National and also the Second Amateur to announce the rite meant the first amateur to win the Grand National and rite amended was the late Great Dick Saunder's
Mr. Charles Fenwick in 1980 and Mr. Tommy Smith in 1965, both American amateurs riding their own horses, won the Grand National.
@@charlesfenwick6554 but Dick Saunders was the first English amateur man to win the Grand National 1982
Bet 365 price boost 66/1 thank you mr cohen
What a swansong for Sam wc,to go out winning the world's biggest 🏁 in stature
...."Congratulations to Winner"..!!!
The old fences took jumping, these look like speed traps
The fences are hardly any size at all you look back to the 70s when it was a true test. Nowadays they just look like big piles of spruce not quite so grand
Surely noble yeats be in the first 3 again this year and possibly even any second now
@tyc it really isn’t that difficult if you spend enough time looking at the race, you can atleast whittle it down to 3 horses. atleast 30 horses in the race have absolute no chance and it isn’t that hard to figure out who they are
Had 25 EW on delta work. Best horse in the race, Thought it was gonna win it 2 out looked like it was cruising but just didn’t pick up
Yh felt like he was hard done by the handicapper and would've won easily if he'd carried a bit less weight but definitely got big things ahead
@@patricksebire7953 100% lad. Was a high weight probably what let him down. Imagine it carried half a stone less 😂 Would of romped it
@@patricksebire7953 Um He won the cross country chase at Cheltenham. Has been running in grade races before that. He was entitled to that weight.
Where did the name Grand National come from?
It was originally known as the Grand Liverpool Steeplechase.
There are races called the Grand National in other nations.
Congratulations to the whole teams of Noble yeast.xx
yeast is that what dirty emmet was feeding it
Noble Yeats not yeast.
We know what you meant never mind the spelling police
@@suemaher5282 thk you Sue.
@@jasonemre8058 I am hangover ,me head is banging.
The best race in the world full stop
The most EVIL race in the world as horses are stressed, used, broken, die from the stress of such a manic race. You are disgusting to think this is ok and it is a legal form of animal abuse. These beautiful horses are used, bodies pushed and pushed and many end up as dog meat and less than 10 years old or only 7. They don't deserve this treatment and barbaric way of life for human entertainment 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬!!!!!!
We must get all horse racing banned.
I love the National, but I see it said often in England, The Worlds most famous horse race, but I live in France and no one has heard of it here and it's not broadcast. I'm afraid the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, Kentucky Derby or Melbourne Cup are much more famous races.
Never heard of them..lol
KENTUCKY DERBY!!!
Worlds most famous race is a UK Jumps race worth $20. Jeeeez.
Puh-lease
Good riddance to another jump season.
Welcome the flat 👍
Amazing how many people say they had money on it when no ones mentioned it all week
Exactly mate 100% mate no one at all hardly mention this horse In the build up snd now off a sudden you have anything from a £20 a win a £5 ew . Makes me laugh oh I backed it because of a football player who has hardly been mentioned about once all season just like this horse lol
Welcome to the UA-cam comment section 😂
@@jasonemre8058 I'm a west ham fan and I wouldn't of backed it l
@@lewisdowsett8390 lol cheers mate an honest man
Wasn't on my 16-horse longlist!
This was a Proper Grand National Very Exciting Race and Fantastic Result. Shame the Fence bypassed and the screens and Flags tho. Nobody wants that to Happen, but its not as dangerous now. I expect They will soften the Fences again now..thats the problem with the National now Every incident brings a knee jerk Reaction , and They have to keep Changing Things. I bet nexts Years race will be far less exciting .....Sadly....
Horse racing is abuse.
Should be renamed “The Race Formally Know As The Grand National” and “The Jump Formally Know As Bechers Brook”
I get what you're saying but it's still a wide open race that takes some winning
2 horses passed away.
Murdered by racing.
@@danielledewitt1 exactly mate.
@@carluk.2966 Racing needs banning.
I stuck an each way on Noble Yeats because it's Mark Nobles last season.
