  • Garmin has a new watch for aviators and it trickles down from the Garmin Venu smart/sportswatch. It's priced at $499, has a built-in pulse oximeter, an aeronautical database and a feature set that's easy to deal with. In this video Aviation Consumer Editor Larry Anglisano takes a look at the major features. Read the full report in the November 2020 issue of Aviation Consumer magazine.
    * This video has been updated to reflect the Air's latest software, upgraded from an earlier beta version.

Planning to get Garmin Aviation Watches. My question to you is to get those METARs, Weather, ATIS on display, does it need to connect with the app first or they are showing themselves without connecting anything?

Garmin, if you're reading this, step up the display of the Delta and MARQ to what you're using for the Air and I'll give you a sale.

Do you know if it works with the Garmin Golf App? I just got the Approach S62 GOLF Watch for Christmas, but has no Aviation Features that I can find. Be nice to have both capabilities.

Thanks for the video. What what you say, how long does it take till having a GPS fix on the D2 Air? In my D2 Bravo it takes several minutes... quite annoying.

I returned it right away because it felt so cheap.

By "cheap" you mean mostly made of plastic? Because just by its features it's anything but a low-end, cheap gadget. I would actually even prefer to have it made of plastic to keep it light, instead of a full metal construction.
