I have a 2023 scout rogue and I am thinking of trading it in for the 101. I thought I was going to get a sport chief next but I just love the scout that much.
Just a quick note about you mentioning the push button start being redundant. The switch on the handlebars is to kill the engine/ignition, not turn off the bike. If the handlebar kill switch powered the whole bike and you hit it by accident while riding, the entire bike would be off. You would lose your headlights, abs, and all electronics etc.
Hey Brother, you have officially made it to my favorite content creators. The fact that you give the same love to Harley and Indian hits home with me. THANK YOU B.H......
Just bought my 2024 Scout Bobber 2 months ago. Quite happy with it. I'd like to have the new technical features of the 2025 lineup on mine as well, but I definitely like the look of the 2024 model more (like the milled metal top of the cylinders instead of this black covers or the rounded back fender instead of the squared on the new ones). Nevertheless, Indians are great bikes. If I had to chose one of the 2025 ones, I'd either go for the Bobber again, or for the 101.
@@tedcity5861 Depends on it you have a dealer who wants to bend you over the table at trade in time. I'm having that experience with a Challenger. The least they could do is through in a kiss.
Rode this bike today at Demo Days in NE Ohio and it rips. Like you said, the bagger is for the long trips and this would be an absolute blast to have just to ride around town or on short trips through the twisties.
That Scout 101 is gnarly, I'm curious to see how it fairs up to the Sport Chief especially considering they're priced really close. Maybe Indian is planning on a Chief redesign to justify the Scout 101 stepping right into it's price bracket? Not to mention the new 1250 is putting out more power than the 116, a little less TQ but the Scout is roughly 120 pounds lighter so I'm sure that makes up more than enough difference. Just going off of that they must be planning something with the Chief lineup!
Glad u mentioned that about the bar wires.. I put a deposit on a white 101.order, and was thinking if I want to change the bars like I did on my breakout.. how I was thinking the position on the 101 isn't as bad as my breakout.. my excuse for not wanting to deal with running the wires through the bars.. as it was a pain in the balls on the breakout.. Thanks for mentioning it.. now if I decide I am reaching as u say, choosing to replace the bars will be much easier.
I'm really liking what Indian is turning out these days. I had sworn off Polaris after what they did to us Victory owners. I can only hope they learned a lot from those bikes and the new Indians are as reliable as my 2015 Cross Country Tour.
Yeah bruh NO ONE understands why they killed Victory. Them were some bad azz bikes!!! The Hammer was just SICK!!!!! Like WTF was up with that move??!!!
Is there a bigger windshield for the 101? I like that fairing alot but I need a taller windshield for sure because it's always cold and windy in Northeast so it's almost mandatory.
Old scout has a perfect balance of a modern power plant dressed in old-school metal. I like the new frame and rad thats about it. I know I am nit picking and tech is the future but when the dealer sounds like hes selling me a minivan I take pause.
Damn, you guys rode past my place on Skyline. Also just heard that you were hanging around Alice’s for a while that day. I’m there almost every day. Damn I missed you guys… 🤔
Compared to the Revolution Max motorcycles I think Indian a much better job on how the motor looks, its great from both sides, but most impressive is how well they integrated the radiator whereas Harley looks like they just bolted it on with no work to integrate it. I do see that based on pricing these start to overlap the Chiefs and Softail lineup I am not a fan of the external wires on the bar. I really do not understand that button on the side. As for which Scout, I like the Classic the best, in white. Now lets see what Indian can do with their baggers as they desperately need an update.
So, basically the suspensions suck on the new Scouts too LOL - I have a 21 and in order to keep from selling it after a few hard hits up my spine and my hip hurting for days after a ride, I upgraded the rear to Progressive 444's and just did the fronts to Legend cartridges - much better now. The single disc front brakes really aren't that bad, it's just that the front suspension is so mushy. I think the brakes are perfectly sufficient once the front fork springs are upgraded.
Common complaint with the Bobber is the 2" rear suspension is not enough. There is a $1000 option to upgrade the rear to a piggy back suspension. Will this solve the Bobber's suspension woes?
Absolutely Stunning Machines 👍, no doubt The Best Cruisers ever built 👍, My favorite one its the Amazing 101!!!, Good explanation and video as well 👍, Thanks for sharing 👍!!!
The main complaint I have about my 23 Chieftain is the dumb placement of the headlight dimmer switch to the right of the horn switch. Glad to see that Indian moved the dimmer to the front of the left switch housing.
Indian did a remarkable job on the new Scouts, especially the 101 looks a fantastic, modern cruiser. As a Harley enthusiast, I have to admit that these Indian models have everything I wanted to see on the new Sportsters, but unfortunately I did not see, not even close. The MoCo need to seriously reconsider their designs, reliability and aesthetics on the Sportster lineup, otherwise this lineup doomed.
On looks alone the Scout Bobber is my favorite, when it comes to which one out of the box suits me best? Should I say Super Scout, but for me like so many others: It's hard to overlook 101. I actually think a Classic dressed up in the direction of Super Scout would be my choice... Or maybe a Sport Scout with the smaller bags and the higher risers... Cool machine. Thanks for the video!
Hey blockhead, can you make a video on getting rid of helmet buffering? Definitely need some ideas before I spend money trying different things, thank you
Not a fan of the digital readout. Is there an analog option 🤣 The start up is concerning too. Is there a manual override? Just seems like you can gets stuck with an electrical glitch.
Blockhead does it feel to small? I'm 6'2 and seriously I felt like I was so close to the ground if something happened I wouldn't be able to get my leg out far and fast enough
They’ll ride mostly the same aside from a few changes like windshield, saddlebags, slightly more suspension travel, etc. The thing that’ll really affect how it handles is your height and weight. Get what you like the best and got the budget for. Have a ‘22 rogue for my 1st bike it’s perfect
@@Sh33pdog_ I'd take a hard look at Sport Scout for the 10" riser option. Others (except 101) have a different triple mount (could buy it too) so you won't be able to use those. Taller bars are available for the others still.
Man, at 1:16 I'm really torn. I really want to see the nice photography, but I REALLY hate that annoying "music" garbage. Compromise; I must turn down the volume.
I'll be honest. I really like the new scout design. It's different enough to be noticed but still doesn't look 100% like a harley clone. But I hate the new engine design. Esthetically displeasing. The previous design looked hella cool.
fun fact, bring them to Europe and the all ride would not be the same. The all range is gorgeous but riding in Switzerland and around I'm better of with a Guzzi riding with a buddy on a cb 1100 r. N.B. previous ride was a HD FXDCI 2005

@norrinradd5501 it's a fast bike. Handles fantastic and much more comfortable than my 22 rogue. Nice having gps and a touch screen display. Only downfall is storage. But it's not a storage bike ya know. It's a head turner. Even the harley die hards I ride with love it. I let my buddies take it for a rip all the time

101 for sure
Gotta be the 101 but can't wait to ride them in a couple weeks & see find out for sure!

The Challenger is pretty up to date, isn't it? I agree about the Chieftain and Roadmaster
rumor is they made a 112 power plus motor. which sounds like there modifying there bagger line
