A slight hint of grapefruit but, I got more of a orange mango and citrus flavor. It's a great tasting beer. On the palette. It definitely finishes off smooth. The 9.5% alc. Is bold...Be Warned!
I also got more of mango flavor.

I can say Greg you have honestly taught me to look at dates on all beer before purchase. What chaps my ass is distributors/stores that try to sell old ass beers.
Lagunitas doesn't date. IPA's are the flagship of their company, cant imagine why they would want to mis-represent their product like that
@@erebusrealm They put the date on the neck of the bottle in black print but use that damn Julian calendar. Who wants to do math when buying beer?

This beer never claims to be NE style, I think they added juice, hard to believe they got these flavors just on hops

Great Notion and Revision, definitely big breweries, nail the NE IPA style, both west coast breweries
Mine was canned 2 months ago. This sits well with me. I like this beer compared to the fruit force which doesn’t even taste like a beer.
New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juice Force IPA isn't as sweet as I first imagined prior to saturating my tongue and flooding my mouth cavity with it. The flavor reminds me of orange pith more than grapefruit. It is dry at the end of the sip almost like a dry wine leaves your mouth feeling. The lacing on the inside of my beer mug is awesome. When would I drink this? Probably on a rainy day as I was listening to songs that remind me of by gone years.
Would be interesting to compare side by side a 6 month old version against a fresh version.
Hmmm ? I got the smell and taste of tangerine that was overpowering . Good review ! At first I didn't like this much , but it's grown on me as I near the end of my 6-pk.
Maybe if I had this fresh it would have been better. Wasn’t hoppy enough for me, it tasted way to sweet , I hated it but it was probaly 5 months old.
I am the same way with dates Greg, I’m glad other people stand up for it as well. There’s too many other beers you can drink where you don’t have to play silly games with dates.

Greg, I asked New Belgium about their dumb dating. I was told the top number is the best buy date. The bottom number is when the beer was canned..For example, 210404 on the bottom is April 4, 2021. Another good review. I've been watching for 7 years now. Keep on trucking brother.
Mine is different, the date on top is earlier than the date thats on the bottom. Like, the top date reads 22 03 020 while the bottom date reads 04 SEP 2022
@@straightdaddy123 It seems as if the dating order is reversed. The beer you have has a six month best buy. I will give NB Brewery credit, the canned on is on the can. I disagree, however, with the length of shelf life.
It's OK free-standing B. them family owned craft breweries are like mom and pop shops,....made with care.

Try to grab Bubblestash (a fresh tall can). They use incredible tech to cryo freeze the oil fresh in the hops. Mosaic and very tasty

It’s got that NOS energy drink orange tangerine flavor with lots of alcohol. Go down and get you a can of the original NOS with sugar and you’ll see what I mean. I prefer Heretic Tangerine Tornado to this. Although this stuff is pretty damn good.
You are right on Greg! The national breweries try to do the hazy style and they usually get a flat tire (see what I did there; Fat Tire haha). Since I live in New England where hazy IPA's are produced in mass quantities and easily available at my corner convenience store....I try to buy those that are a month or less old. The fresher the better. I don't think I would even purchase this one if I saw it.

As a side note, I found this also will wreck the #@$& out of your palate. I've got 6 IPA singles in my fridge that I paid a pretty penny for that are undrinkable right now.

Sir Greg there's no way unless you have super powers that you can see through that hazy-ness into the camera PS these things get you messed up delicious nonetheless they are not to be drank after working in the backyard on a hot summer day you'll be in bed by 4:30 p.m. hahaha I'm going to stick to my torpedoes cheers and smiles

they are too busy trying to impress people with the artwork on label, if the beer is 10 years old, you can put it on a shelf and it will look pretty lol
