- Double improved dropshot rig for Perch, Bass, Pike, Zander lure fishing. The key to this rig is to have hook attached to the line via small loop. This loop helps with the presentation and hooking the fish properties.

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

With all the respect for the effort, it's not better to do a simple palomar knot for the hook? It's easier and faster and the hook will be perpendicular to the line every time with no modifications needed.
I meant to ask, is the plastic you use a floating one?
I used to have this kind of hooks from Ali.
Very good Andrew, what do you do if you have to use a wire trace, just in case a pike shows up.
I don't bother with wire. Unless actually pike fishing. Flouro will land pike usually.
@@nospoon4799I agree, landed a 8lb pike on 6lb fluro no problem you just have to always strike immediately as you want a lip hook on a pike with these rigs or they will cut you off.
Best case scenario after striking the whole line both sides of the hook should be outside of the pikes mouth.
After 6 attempts I gave up with this one 🙈😬
