    That, my friend, was BRILLIANT! Very clever and functional. This invention allows for the weed guard to be used MANY times and it EASILY compresses on a bite. This is a great tip. You are a very thoughtful individual. Thank you & God bless!

    Genius! You solved the conundrum! Far better than bits of wobbly wire sticking up. Subscribed!

    Anyone on youtube can do a video on standard rigs, lures, setups and what not, but Andrew, you are one of very few people that are able to take something ordinary and upgrade it to something extraordinary. I've applied your "ok, how can I improve this" mindset into my tournament fishing tactics and so far my worst placement from 4 tournaments is 3rd place. :) Keep up with the good videos, lad! :)

    Great idea with the tube. I also really like the fact that you can confirm if you had a bite with it!

    I'm just shy of 60y been fishing in MN USA, land of 11000 + lakes all my life. This old girl, in a family of two boys and two girls, whose father was not with us growing up (mom divorced him) is the only one who... hunts, butchers her own meat, fishes, traps, hikes, drives tractors, bobcats etc. Lol my subs have been citified! AND I just learned Sooo much from you! Thanks!

    just found your channel! fantastic. I fish freshwater lakes in Georgia with a bass club. they all buy expensive gear, but much of my stuff comes from Aliexpress. no shame. Much of the Ali gear is good and I'm glad you feature links to them. this is the best weedless idea I've seen yet! Thank you and keep the videos coming.!

    Great stuff ! I am going to apply this on my jig heads for the seabass fishing. Lets see if this weed guard will also prevent or at least reducing the times snagged on the bottom structures (mussels , cockles and stones). Or do you have an idea for an even better concept for this or adjustment?? Thanks for your video ...keep on the good work 🙂

    Everything is nicely explained. The second system is not very resistant to hooking.
    Cutting the tube makes the hook not well protected enough. In my experience, just pulling the tube is enough. No cutting with scissors. I had no problem catching fish. I use 1mm tubes. I tie the tube under the eye of the jig head and tighten well... I don’t pull it over the neck of the hook to the lead head.That way I am able to choose any type of head. The tube itself is easier to change in case it is needed.

  • @vegetablejoe2389
    @vegetablejoe2389 2 роки тому +1

    Algorithm brought me here, and very happy it did. The key to the weedless tube jig seems to be the jig head itself where you can slide tube between the hook shaft and bait keeper, correct? If so, what jig head do you recommend?

    • @AndrewsKnots
      @AndrewsKnots  2 роки тому

      I recommend a jighead as required in given situation and then tube to match given jighead.

    But isn’t that going to hook the weed as well once enough pressure from plant/leaf/weed apply on hook/tube?

    What if you melt a little space at the end of the cut with a heated pin then the very tip of the hook might pop through more easily and might snag against the tube less often if it ever does. Just an idea :) This is genius btw.

      It will depend of how much of "weedless" effect one requires. Thicker tube=stiffer tube=more weedless..

  • @zoomzoomgt
    @zoomzoomgt 10 місяців тому

    Without much force, pushing down on the plastic tube. If you're going through any weeds. I'm sure it will push that tube down. So you're still going to get hung up.

    • @AndrewsKnots

      No I won't. If you're fishing in jungle, how about you use thicker/thicker tubing..
