Sage's Rain thank you so much brother I recommend this character for so long i didn’t think you’ll make a video but you did man!! Thank you so much We can learn a lot from Wolverine and his story and how it can relate to our story in life.

@@liammcguire1954 Yes, but the thing about Batman is that the murder of his parents is still fresh trauma for him. His pursuit of becoming Batman was and is the only thing that kept him from breaking down mentally. Pretty interesting. Joker is inside-out, while Batman is outside-in, mentally. The main similarity between Batman and Wolverine is that they both have to constantly hold back their id while resisting the damage of their trauma.
B R Batman wasn’t captured and had to go through a slow and agonizing process of his humanity being stripped from him. Can’t help but feel sympathetic for Wolverine when meditating on his seemingly eternal suffering. He’s not the harsh brute, he often comes off as. Logan just struggles to find the balance between his human morals/emotions and feral instincts. Greats vid Sage!
Us ppl r like Logan, we have our human nature and our animal path. Like Logan we have the courage to go on after tragedy and to let our animal path loose time to time. I guess it just leaves the question of who's suffered more. But this video isn't about the suffering, it's about what you gain from that pain, and I guess Logan and Guts deal with it I'm similar ways, with both of them starting of as monsters to become more human later on, only to lose what makes them human and to go back as a beast.
Fox's X-Men are actually a lot closer to the source material than people give it credit for. Even Chris Claremont agrees on that. His only problems with the franchise was how X3 depicted the Dark Phoenix as a split personality rather than a parasitic cosmic entity and how Apocalypse treated Apocalypse as a one-time villain.
I could see if you said this about Frank Castle, but I'm with you, Galaxy. I see no correlation between Wolverine & people who suffered in war. All of his wounds heal, almost instantly. What exactly did he suffer, during any of the wars he's been in? I can't see it. But I do, however, see the correlation between Wolverine (and the rest of the mutants) and Black Americans before, during, and since the civil rights era. Being seen as a wild beast, simply because you were born different than the majority...that's what Wolverine represents. Being able to take all the punishment this world dishes out, and still fight on...that's what Wolverine represents. Wolverine was "super" long before he was ever a soldier. His genetics made him what he his, not his time at war, especially since his traumatic memories appear to erase themselves. But my reply is just based on what I've heard Stan Lee say about his inspiration for the X-Men. He even said that the rivalry between Professor X & Magneto was based on the opposing ideologies of Martin Luther King Jr. & Malcolm X, during the civil rights era. But I'm just your friendly neighborhood a$$hole, so what do I know, right? The fun part about comics is that each individual can interpret stories and characters any way they see fit.
He reminds me a lot of Arthur in RDR2. At the end of his life he knows there’s no more hope for him. He knows that time is running out for him. The best and last good thing he can do is try and help everyone who is close to him to get a better life.
Rick Grimes from the Walking Dead, Logan or The Wolverine, and Arthur Morgan are very similar men and more or less my idols in a sense. They do/ did everything they can to protect the one’s they loved while simultaneously fighting their inner demons. An extremely daunting cast only a few can really accomplish.
Wolverine has been one of my favorite comic character all my life. When I was a kid, it was because I thought he was the coolest, he had cool powers, he had a cool rival, was strong and a badass, which he is. But now, I see how truly strong he was inside. His determination to keep trying again and again is more badass than taking on any sentinel or bad guy.
Wolverine’s character kind of reminds me of him being a jinchuriki as that he’s a human suppressing a beast that wants to be set free and if he ever gave into that beast he flies off the handle. The beast and James were always in a struggle for power over his single body, like one man with two souls.
Logan is the embodiment of the human condition. Even his second most prominent power (his healing ability) is much like how our minds deal with trauma. We can't heal literal wounds like wolverine but mental scars and things that happen to us we eventually heal ourselves over time. Not to mention he has dealt with the loss of the love of his life, dealing with being a father, loving someone who will never love him the same, the balance of light and dark inside us and PTSD. Imo Wolverine is probably one of the most relatable and diverse comic heroes for everyone if they really read up on him.
I feel so much for characters like Logan or Spider-Man. Their tragedies have literally been so bad, that it's easily ignored. Always glad to see that there are people who notice it🙏
Especially when you realize that throughout all of the pain and suffering that they’ve been through, they still choose to use their powers to protect those that can’t protect themselves. Truly beautiful characters and it’s for reasons like these that Spider-Man, Superman, Batman, and Wolverine are in my top 5 superhero’s
Wolverine has always been one of my favorites since a kid Now as a young adult I get it Wolverine taught me that people can see you in many ways, some good, some bad and some worse... But his relationship with the x-men taught me, if people care about you more than how you look and act.. They love you for who you are...
Logan will always be one of my favorite characters. He embodies the human struggle. In the end we are the choices we make and how we deal with suffering defines us. He always did the right thing. It never had full control of anything, but he always did the best he could with what power he had. Even in his dying days, he went out of his way to care about someone he didnt know. At any point he could have used his strength to be incredibly selfish, and no one would have blamed him. He committed his life to that next act of kindness, or at least to say out of the way so he couldnt hurt someone. This depth of character is what matters, this is what defines a man. More then Steve Rogers, more then Peter Parker, this is a man who suffered to the utter breaking point, and never lost who he was.
I may have already commented, maybe not…just wanted to thank you honestly I will never stop watching this. This didn’t change my life nor did it reveal me to myself, however it helped me to accept the life that I have had. I am a Canadian national, have lived many things and have lost even more people. This is the understanding that I think maybe people like myself never allow themselves to seek. Being a beast or being a weapon for your country, trusting the people that give you orders, never making that choice for yourself or maybe even refusing your own well-being for the sake or the memory of siblings after you have come back from accomplishing the mission given to you. Wishing for a simpler life; a life where you could have been the actual best of yourself a life where you could have given all of your love to someone. Maybe people like me we are just meant to die alone even though immortality is our curse because time and battle never seem to want us. No matter how hard we try to die we never give up. I am only here to make my Family better. To keep them safe. To love my wife to love my Daughter. Still most nights I wake in a cold sweat; struggling against ghosts of a past long conquered. Yet if they are conquered why do they whisper in my dreams and wake me in the night? How much is my immortality worth if it never knows rest? If it means that my family is safe it is worth all the blood of the world that flows through hearts cursed with peace.😮
Weapon X, Wolverine, and Old Man Logan are the 3 greatest Wolverine stories ever. A perfect trilogy, they cover his past, his present, and his future, dominated primarily by his inner animal, inner hero, and inner man, in the style of a Sci-fi horror, Samurai drama, and Western epic. To learn who Wolverine is, look first at these. I loved this video, great job!
Your honestly without a doubt one of the greatest youtubers I’ve watched and I still absolutely love your quote about improving one’s self. “Water the seeds of your soul so you may grow a garden of light and truth”. A quote that will forever stick with me.
Wolverine is a fantastic character. Honestly his best stuff is pre-Death of Wolverine when he finally found his place in the world running the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning and using his life experiences to guide and teach the next generation of Mutants.

Great to hear from you, Sage. I'm glad to see you like Wolverine. He's the X-Man I identify with the most, struggling, dealing with memory problems, losing love, a hard life, yet still trying to do things right. Logan/James/Weapon X/Wolverine is so relatable that I almost want to be him.
Back when weapon x was published, the bone claws weren't part of Logan, he was just a animalistic mutant with accelerated healing. during weapon x treatment, the claws manifested as a bi product from the adamantium bonding process, witch makes his story even more tragic. They made him a complete animal, destroyed his mind ang gave him claws

No how much I tried to be better growing up every one saw me as a bad person, as a monster.. I kept trying to change, to be a better man but most of my siblings never saw that they kept seeing me as someone that’ll always make mistakes, that I wanted to cause trouble for everyone, when I didn’t I want to be understood as a struggling person that want to be better that want care, but I accepted what people saw me as and I would close people off and hide my pain and suffering behind anger and quietness I decided to be on my own and never trust anyone bc they would hurt me or see what I can be, a monster It took me a long time to open up and find the right people in my life but in the end I became a better person, a better man...
He's so layered. I think the people who just go "brr creepy perv harassing married women" or "toxic male fantasy" don't really get there's more to him than that. A abuse victim going back after his abusers can mean a lot to so many people...Not to mention he personifies well the themes of "don't be prejudiced" with X-Men, considering he manages to make friends with people of different ethnicities, religions, and does find researching about other cultures cool....All while still being himself.
I always come across your channel when looking up certain things alone… this time I looked this up because I wanted to know more about my older brothers favorite hero’s. Your channel touches on so many things close to my heart, please keep up the great analysis.
16:44 For Wolverine and Spiderman(and even all might and deku) The song "me against the world" by tupac really captured what they were about to me These characters that have been through so much and basically have a HUGE target on their back have to constantly battle against society while also maintaining their moral compass. It's heartening but also tear jerkingly sad, as u WANT their hard work, blood sweat and tears, to come with the best of rewards, and tbh it kinda makes me angry when it doesnt.
This video is just...perfect. This video perfectly explains how I grown to love the character of Wolverine. I used to hate him growing up but over time his unique charm rubbed off of me. I still consider Spider-Man to be my all time favorite hero but I have to admit that Wolverine is now close second. Logan has been his been throw so much in his life and still getting up and trying to be the best human he can possibly be is...enthralling. Captain America, Iron Man, And Thor are cool heroes but they don’t posses they will to keep going after enduring so much pain like Wolverine has. Thank you for making this video Sage. I really needed this
@sage rain. you stay dropping content that I love. its like you read my mind on all the cartoon characters and story lines and you hit the nail on the head every time. Your content is not only similar to the thing i enjoy but in the same depth and thought process i understand things. keep up the good work. you sir have got a subscriber in me.
When you brought up his relationships with the X-Men, I found it odd you didn’t bring up his relationship with Scott, Rogue, Hank, or Gambit. I like his relationship with Storm but it’s a far more simple and subtle one in comparison to those other relationships I mentioned that I think bring out more out of his character than his relationship with Storm does.
Between the story of man or beast from his past he has been through hell and back, he has been around so long even people start notice he’s abilities and personality by the fact he has work well others and sometimes not if try comparing his past to him with compassion then he will understand then man has been physically and mentally tortured, even so he has friends like a example Nightcrawler or Shadowcat, between the past he has meet others when everyone gotten their powers he bumped heads with Ben Grimm when he wasn’t the thing it was that time when he was a pilot, or meeting Captain America, or Nick Fury. There are some others that connected to his past that are heroes or villains can’t go full on detail on this but it was worth commenting on this video.
I have a common piece when I listen to this man and his videos and you can't help but feel sorry for Logan for everything that he has seen people that he bonded with and knowing that he's going to outlive them all it's quite frustrating and sad
Its sad that I already knew about all of this. Is it possible that you could dig a little deeper into Logan's character?. A round of applause to you for making this tho. Keep it up
I've always loved wolverine since I saw the animated series, X-men, but the way Sage described his life I didn't realize how close the character and myself are to one another as many tragedies have occurred in both our lives, I'm 21 as of right now. As you can say we've earned the right to be closed off from the world but we don't as we try to be the example for those who see something in us that isn't seen in ourselves, giving our hearts to those who need more as we've settle with what we are but are trying to change it for everyone has to grow. Seeing this this made me cry as it was like looking in a mirror. Thanks Sage.
Hey man, not new here but heres a new idea, would you make a video about the Master Chief, he is a really broken person, a soldier wondering if he is human or machine, it would be a great breakdown of the hero of humanity

You gave me a new look at wolverine's story of change
Vegeta- the Prince Saiyan please 😩😩
His conversations with Goku, with Freeza, with Bulma and Trunks. LOTS of content.
The full metal osts in the background were a good addition
Time and time, I find myself rewatching this video over and over for years. It helps become more motivated, and I wanted to express my thanks not only to Wolverine, but to you Sage's. Thank you
No how much I tried to be better growing up every one saw me as a bad person, as a monster.. I kept trying to change, to be a better man but most of my siblings never saw that they kept seeing me as someone that’ll always make mistakes, that I wanted to cause trouble for everyone, when I didn’t I want to be understood as a struggling person that want to be better that want care, but I accepted what people saw me as and I would close people off and hide my pain and suffering behind anger and quietness
I decided to be on my own and never trust anyone bc they would hurt me or see what I can be, a monster
It took me a long time to open up and find the right people in my life but in the end I became a better person, a better man...
Such a beautiful voice and narration for such a tragic yet beautiful, feral, and untamed #Hero in #TheWolverine
Bad shit happens to people that I care about. - Logan
You bring me to tears so often
Old Man Logan is definitely how my life is going to end I just accept it
this was absolutely a true masterpice of a video thanks sage
I always come across your channel when looking up certain things alone… this time I looked this up because I wanted to know more about my older brothers favorite hero’s. Your channel touches on so many things close to my heart, please keep up the great analysis.
dude these videos make me wanna melt from how calming they are
That analysis was absolutely magnificent! Thank you so much!
Bro you've gotta do one on Cyclops now cause I'd bet a $100 you've analyzed him as closely as you analyze all of your characters you do videos on.
16:44
For Wolverine and Spiderman(and even all might and deku)
The song "me against the world" by tupac really captured what they were about to me
These characters that have been through so much and basically have a HUGE target on their back have to constantly battle against society while also maintaining their moral compass.
I really needed this
Binging your videos man very good stuff
@sage rain. you stay dropping content that I love. its like you read my mind on all the cartoon characters and story lines and you hit the nail on the head every time. From Naruto, Pain, Kakashi, sasuke, Batman, Tim Drake, young justice, and childish gambino. Your content is not only similar to the thing i enjoy but in the same depth and thought process i understand things. keep up the good work. you sir have got a subscriber in me.
You luminate the depth of these unique and awesome characters
This is why I like redemption characters. Here's my list
1.Shadow the hedgehog
2. Vegeta
3.Itachi Uchiha
4. Vergil the son of Sparda
To begin with itachi was never evil
Riku from kh, zuko from atla
When you brought up his relationships with the X-Men, I found it odd you didn’t bring up his relationship with Scott, Rogue, Hank, or Gambit. I like his relationship with Storm but it’s a far more simple and subtle one in comparison to those other relationships I mentioned that I think bring out more out of his character than his relationship with Storm does.
Big fan or at least the most I can be
Healing Factor Enhanced? Wasn't it slowed down a bit since the Metal on his bones are slowly Poisoning him
It was but even with the metal hindering his healing factor he has the potential to live thousands of years
Thank you for this
You should do some more Wolverine related videos. X-23 would be a cool character, and Daken too.
I have never seen a channel that deserves 100K more than you, you got this my beautiful fried.
I always look forward to seeing your new videos because they are so well done and meaningful and beautiful
Great video😭🔥👌
Do one for Cyclops. His journey is fascinating in its own oway.
I need fan art of Guts and Logan.
The best marvel character loved the video
Your a luminous light my friend, thank you for your wisdom namaste brother.
Bro, this is why we all felt sympathy for Koba despite him being a bad guy in Planet of the Apes
The FMAB ost playing in the background fits perfectly 3:20
Lifelong Wolverine fan. Well done.
Dope video your vioce sounds like something i hear in a documentary just hearing about wolverines was very motivational keep them coming
You’re the man
I have a common piece when I listen to this man and his videos and you can't help but feel sorry for Logan for everything that he has seen people that he bonded with and knowing that he's going to outlive them all it's quite frustrating and sad
Damn...your voice is soooooooo calming
Amazing content
Its sad that I already knew about all of this. Is it possible that you could dig a little deeper into Logan's character?. A round of applause to you for making this tho. Keep it up
Man I really loved this video. This is a beautiful essay
PLEASE DO AN EPISODE ON EDDIE BROCK!!! VENOM
I always tear up when I watch your videos
Really like the use of FF7 Crisis Core music in the background. Good video
Please never stop creating.
What a beautiful analysis.
Wolverine and nightcrawler are iconic
Like his life, his demise was just as brutal.
This was epyk yet relaxing! ✊
Thank you Sage.
Hey man, not new here but heres a new idea, would you make a video about the Master Chief, he is a really broken person, a soldier wondering if he is human or machine, it would be a great breakdown of the hero of humanity
I.am like logan... i relate so much... i feel so alone sometimes and I try
