I don't want to lose weight, rather probably gain weight is my guess. I am 5' 8" and my weight is 122 - 126 lbs. I want to build muscle and get muscle definition which I lost over the last few years. Not much fat to lose. I feel I shouldn't worry about it rather concentrate on building muscle. Where to start?
If you're not yet sure which program to start with, you can take our free Program Recommendation Quiz here: melissaneill.com/free-quiz/ The quiz only takes a few minutes and you will be asked certain questions regarding your workout and fitness activity so we can recommend the best program for you.
I am 63 and still working FT. I am up at 4am and don’t get home until 5 pm. My biggest obstacle is FATIGUE!! On work days I have absolutely no energy left. I can usually work out Monday and maybe Tuesday, but then Wednesday through Friday I am exhausted. I then make Saturday and Sunday a priority to work out. I am gradually lifting heavier and see some muscle tone in my arms, but still have belly fat. How can I combat fatigue?? I have increased protein.
Fatigue can be quite difficult to manage, especially with your busy work schedule. It could be helpful to focus on getting quality sleep, reviewing your nutrition, and discussing your symptoms with a doctor for further insights.
If your macro split is 40% carbs, 30% protein, and 30% fat, you can determine how many grams of each macronutrient you need based on your daily calorie goal.
If your goal is to weigh 130 lbs, it's generally a good idea to eat around 130 grams of protein to support fat loss and muscle preservation as you aim for your target weight. However, if you're very active or lifting heavy, sticking closer to 150 grams of protein could still be beneficial, as it may better support muscle recovery and growth.

If you're not yet sure which program to start with, you can take our free Program Recommendation Quiz here: melissaneill.com/free-quiz/
The quiz only takes a few minutes and you will be asked certain questions regarding your workout and fitness activity so we can recommend the best program for you.
What supplements are you taking other than Creatine

Thanks for your reply
Melissa how does the macro split translate to knowing how to weighi out your food . Thats confusing you should have given an example
If your macro split is 40% carbs, 30% protein, and 30% fat, you can determine how many grams of each macronutrient you need based on your daily calorie goal.

If you're 150 lb but your goal is 130 lb would you choose to eat 130 grams of protein? Are would you still stick with the 150 grams of protein

Melissa, are you familiar with Lipedema? It is pervasive among women and we need so much help. I think you can be a strong voice to guide women worth lipoedema as well. It affects an estimated 11% of women globally! I would love hear your thoughts. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks for your suggestion! I will keep this in mind for future videos.

Do you work with vegans?

Thank you for your feedback!
No need for the negativity, you don’t have to listen.😮
My gosh, that is the way she speaks. That was kind of rude.
@@inabind416 Obviously that is the way she speaks but it makes listening very difficult. Your appraisal is wrong. My feedback is honest not rude.
