After building tons of FT kits, minis, Simple's, Masters and more, this is still one of my very favorite planes. Bending the landing gear was a pain as a newbie, but it encouraged me to get better tools and now I had no trouble with the Edge 540. Great episode, great plane, great designers and fun all around.
Flite Test personal..You ALL , just get Better and Better.....I Thank God for you all.....you help everyone in this hobby and those who want to be.....again Thank you for ALL you do.
I really love the music in your videos, especially that extended intro theme you used for the montage here. Been watching episodes for a long while now and still can't get enough of it! Glad to see more challenges (and Josh Scott!)
A classic FT video. I have been watching this video for years and never get tired of it. My storch did not turn out so well. as a speical education school teacher....we did not get time to finish and test it due to issues. But, I love this plane.
Very nice model! I'll be building this one soon! Josh, you have certainly mastered the art of designing foamboard aircaft that fly incredibly well. I've been loving my Blunt-nosed Versa for FPV flying. Thanks to all at Flite Test for your continued and passionate contributions to our wonderful hobby! Cheers!
I LMAO , great episode, This is my next build, Thanks Flite Test. I made my first assisted R.C. flight in 1955 and have been in R.C. ever since. Through the years I have done it all and was getting where I was just about out of R.C. until I found Flite Test, You have brought back all the fun. Thank You !!!
FliteTest I would rather you got all the thanks, I have through the years have probally taught at least 400 people how to fly but that can't compare to what you guys have done for the Radio Control Hobby. I was a board member with a old R.C. show M.A.C.S. Model and Craft Show that used to be bigger than Toledo. Well we and Toledo always said we were the biggest. I doubt If anybody even remembers the M.A.C.S. show, the last one was in 1981 after the 2 owners of the show Orange Coast Radio Control Club and Southern California Hobby Industry Association split up the show and that was the end of it.
Awesome video. The kind of video that first made me subscribe. Love watching the goofy stunts mixed with clarity on opperation. I almost seldom have questions after watching your videos because every detail you guys mention is always followed up by a source to gain a more complete answer. I just bought a rotor bone knuckle kit from these guys and I was more than satisfied with my service. They claim they will ship in 4 day but I had received my product in less than 4 days (Ohio to west Montana) keep up the hard work guys!
There was no new video on Monday, so I checked at 8am, since 2am (sigh) no new video. Then the Storch video was up, new plane for sale, and I just checked at 8pm and it shipped! Thanks Flite Test.
Awesome episode guys! Love these sorts of episodes. :) I will defiantly be making this one. I have a friend I want to teach how to fly, and I think this may be the aircraft for that job!
Frankly, Peter seems to build things. Lots of things. Really fast. Then paints them. I believe the reason he is quiet on the show is because frankly, he is thinking about building things! This feels like a new phase of flite test and frankly, it is fun!
I just read some poor comments for this vid (only 1 or 2, not all comments) and was kinda disappointed with them. If you don't like what This channel is about. Then I think your missing the point of FlightTest. These guys are a BIG WELCOME MAT for flying model aircraft and this is something they haven't forgotten since the beginning. They are just good clean fun. Some presenters have moved on and some are new and I understand if you don't like them, that's cool. BUT listen to the message they give, its all about flying and NOT being rude or unwelcoming about it. I hope you can think twice when you post next. Peace :)
Hi flite test, i am probably your biggest fan and your videos mean alot to me and every Monday and Thursday i always watch them when i get home, however anyway i would really like it if you did a lets build or a lets fly on a cargo plane like a ac 130 thanks alot guys!
God Cameron I love you - you are the most awesome son a man could ever have and it looks like you've inherited my interest in science and engineering..great effort and I hope that the Flite team respond - I may put something about this in the Telegraph if they do and you are able to build one of these through their help and advice.
Paul Hart Cam Hart - Paul you are embarrassing him! Just kidding:) We are beyond happy that you two are sharing memories together. That what this hobby is all about! Thank you for your support! happy flying!
If only you guys would have been around about 20 years ago :P I can't believe the amazing builds you all continue to come up with, and for such an inexpensive amount. I think I would have to crawl through foam airplanes in my room to get to my bed back when I first started instead of forking out big bucks for an ARF.
The foamies you are designing are AMAZING!! How about getting to the next level with some balsa planes builds and plans? Thanks alot for all the things you do!
Will you be putting up the free build plans for the FT storch? I have a stack of foam board and a pile of new blades that are waiting to tango! thanks for all you guys do, you rock
Man I have been following you guys and I really wish I could build something like this I dont feel like I could even do any of these I dont know anything about building these even after watcing the video and I even watched all the beginner videos and still dont know how to get started, I dont know what all to get to make it fly I have a dx6i remote with no receiver and thats all hopefully I Can find a whole package deal.... I really would love to do a scratch build with or hopefully one day soon the speed build one day soon being in collage takes all your money so I will b trying to save enough to get the components and materials but you guys are awesome love watching the videos and keep up the great work and thank you for putting your fans first and helping everyone you can out !!!
Go to the FliteTest Store and order a Simple Scout. The crafty kit has everything you'll need to build. Get a nice Li-Po charger, and then everything else you'll need is with the speedbuild on the store. I spent about $200 on my first order, and only about $75 on every order after that. I now have 20 FT builds!
Hello, I was wondering if you guys could make a mighty mini version of this amazing airplane. One with all the same options like flaperons, flaps, and slats. I’d love to get one of those. Thank you and keep the great work up!!!
I think it was Eric? said he was getting close to half an hour flight times on a 2200 near the end of the video. At the Flitetest store ; there aretwo power options for this plane. Which option can get me close to half hour flight times? About to buy the kit from the store soon . I can't wait to get it!
You guys help me so much i love you guys. You help me with stuff I'm 10 and... You guys are not just creative but awesome and I look up to you at school. And I want to go to a college that makes people engineers so I can make new models you guy are the best and I watch your videos all the time at I learn not just how to fly but how not to fly
Hey, when will you guys do a video on building a edf jet? I think that would be cool. I would also like to see some more hot wire foam cut planes. I mean no disrespect, I just like your show and think I could learn something from it. Hey maybe you could put out a kit that is an edf jet that should only be cut with an hot wire foam cutter. IDK just a thought. Love your show though.
I wasn't sure if I'm going to like this video. If it ended just with breakfast challenge, I would of been disappointed. I love this build & I may have a go at this one ^_^
This plane is so cool ;)! I realy love your kits. I just bought the FT Nutball, Flyer and Delta pack an they fly so amazing. Just go on like this :D !!!
Hey there Flite Test crew! Abby and I Love your channel and everything you are about =^) We've been watching for a while now, and always enjoy your videos! We think it would be great to one day meet up with you and just have some fun flying. Until then, we'd love to see one of your planes over on our channel! Not sure which one we should look at first O.o
The Tiny Trainer is a wonderful build, and when you're ready to go bigger, the Simple Scout is absolutely wonderful! The Storch is large, but playful and docile at the same time. Try it with a 4S 1800 and it'll fly 3D!
Love it this is gonna be a good tow plane and float plane platform going to dollar tree soon to get the foam I just built my first ft swappable the ft 3d it's amazing ! Keep up the good work!
I have flown the "bacon bomber" in so much wind that at more than half throttle it just sits in one place. It handles very well in a variety conditions! Hope that helps! ~Eric
This is one of my favorite FT videos. Best part, you still ate the food. Because otherwise, if you didn’t, I could say “videos like this are why other countries hate us.’ But thats only a joke.
Could the Flite Test team do a build/review video on a hydrofoam. I have been interested in getting one, but I want to know what ya'll think about it. It is a rc boat/plane.
I too want to see a plane with a really long streamer tie a knot in the streamer, maybe even tie a knot between two planes and when the line pulls taught, they just crash. Or maybe even a tractor pulling contest with two multirotors
After building tons of FT kits, minis, Simple's, Masters and more, this is still one of my very favorite planes. All the episodes with Josh Scott are the best!! :D
2nd that!
i laughed so much when he rode the trike up
I can't stop watching FliteTest. You are all the cream of youtube!
Same here, best RC Channel on UA-cam :)
Terrific job from the FT crew! Already ordered the speed build and now free decals! WOW, what a great start to the day.
Thanks for your continued support Steve :)
There was no new video on Monday, so I checked at 8am, since 2am (sigh) no new video. Then the Storch video was up, new plane for sale, and I just checked at 8pm and it shipped! Thanks Flite Test.
Great episode :) the mix of technical talk about the plane and messing about with it is what I watch Flite test for. More like this please!
Coming right up:)
Loved the format of this episode.....SOOO MUCH! Really classic FT style. Keep it up u guys!
Awesome episode guys! Love these sorts of episodes. :) I will defiantly be making this one. I have a friend I want to teach how to fly, and I think this may be the aircraft for that job!
It is a great 4 channel trainer!
Mr. Whomsley! Nice to hear from you!
Your videos keep getting better and better - the air to air shots are pure skill!
Frankly, Peter seems to build things. Lots of things. Really fast. Then paints them.
I believe the reason he is quiet on the show is because frankly, he is thinking about building things!
This feels like a new phase of flite test and frankly, it is fun!
Looks like a great plane to fly after a hard day at the office. Keep up the good work guys, all the way from Australia
At last, some classic flite test, great episode, well done guys :-)

Pro trick : you can watch movies on flixzone. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Roberto Davian Yup, been watching on flixzone} for since november myself =)
The good ol' flite test is back! Love these videos!
Flite test needs to go back to this style of video 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Nice video guys, good to see the fun factor is back.
Great episode as always guys, great to see everyone in it. Keep it up!!
These air to air shots are fantastic as usual.
Hi flite test, i am probably your biggest fan and your videos mean alot to me and every Monday and Thursday i always watch them when i get home, however anyway i would really like it if you did a lets build or a lets fly on a cargo plane like a ac 130 thanks alot guys!

I'm you biggest fan I have like 7 airplanes because of you including the timber
Looks like a "MUST HAVE"! Now learning on nitro (love the sound) but, for a quick run to the field this has got to be the one. Great job!
That is a beautiful little plane. A very different warbird.
"If uhh... If it's all like breakfast bombers, why don't you drop breakfast food from it..." *CRUNCH* I'm dying XD
If only you guys would have been around about 20 years ago :P I can't believe the amazing builds you all continue to come up with, and for such an inexpensive amount. Congratulations for 200.000 subscribers!
The best model of all time! the world's best! Simply the best yet! Thank so much! Flite Test =)
Great build, my wife might get into the hobby with this one. Thanks guys 😎
LAZER FIRE! Sounds like the name a future FT model.
Flies awesome and has a nice vintaga look, cant ask more.
The foamies you are designing are AMAZING!!
How about getting to the next level with some balsa planes builds and plans?
Thanks alot for all the things you do!
Thank you so much for finally making a scale trainer!!!
I've been eagerly awaiting this plane, especially since I sold off my 40-size balsa trainer. It will be nice to have a high-wing, slow flyer again!
Looks great!! Will you release the buildplans ? Thank you guys
I'm definitely gonna get this one. Nice job guys
Really good timing! I was about to design my own
I love the bombing and diy RC stuff. You guys should do an x15 off of the wing of a b52!
Awesome episode. I really like these styled shows
Will you be putting up the free build plans for the FT storch?
I have a stack of foam board and a pile of new blades that are waiting to tango!
thanks for all you guys do, you rock
Thanks so much flite test you've just boasted my confidence in rc flying, better get to work scratch building one of these awesome planes.
so cool! Thanks for the videos...been wanting to get into this hobby.now I can!
You should put wing fences on it! I put some on my Fun Cub and it makes it slow right down to a crawl!!!
Pigs do fly.. well fall from the sky. Nice to see you all together in the show. Josh Scott makes me lmao..
Bacon Bomber is right. That breakfast went everywhere!
Big fan of Peter. Love his UA-cam channel
Hahahaha, Luftwaffle.... Holy cow you guys make my day. I'm going to be laughing about that one at weird moments for the next few days.

Very cool can you guys come out with a kit for the bomb drop
You guys should do more helicopter videos. I don't really fly planes that much I'm more of a helicopter guy but I love watching your videos.
Finally a plane again, thanks flitetest :-)
Great episode! So much fun, thank you!
Thanks for watching:)
I think it was Eric? said he was getting close to half an hour flight times on a 2200 near the end of the video. At the Flitetest store ; there aretwo power options for this plane. Shon Macklin I'm sure it would be the DT750 motor
Timinator62 Ok Thanks!
WOW I like the slow flight it should be a great trainer. It has some of the looks of a post WWI plain.
Grats on 200k!
I already have it on order through the store. Thank you for everything you do! Thanks for being awesome.
You guys help me so much i love you guys. You help me with stuff I'm 10 and... You guys are not just creative but awesome and I look up to you at school. Yay, the Storch! Great video!!
Just finished painting the storch I built, need to fly it again and put some decals on it
great plane man! Im going to make one of these.

God bless y'all at ❤ Flite Test ❤
Can you do a video on setting up servos to execute "bomb" drops? I understand what you are doing, I just don't understand how it all connects.
Can you make a radio tip video? Which radio to choose, settings and stuff? Would be helpful.
Awesome combat footage!!
You should do a short landing contest/challenge with this awesome STOL!
Felicitaciones esto si es diversión pura, gracias sigan adelante
you have the best job in the whole world i'd love to be able to fly and have fun like you do , love the vid's
Cute son josh Scott! Great video flite test. I will definitely purchase it.
I wasn't sure if I'm going to like this video. If it ended just with breakfast challenge, I would of been disappointed. I love this build & I may have a go at this one ^_^
great job guys!
It would be awesome if you could do a review of the Multiplex Solius!
Thank you :)
This plane is so cool ;)! I realy love your kits. I just bought the FT Nutball, Flyer and Delta pack an they fly so amazing.
Just go on like this :D !!!
I think a Wright Bros. scratch build would be epic and very different even if not with wired wings.
THIS IS BY FAR BEST FT PLANE FLIES LIKE SR TELEMASTERS
Would this be a good step up from a hobbyclub supercub lipo?
Hey there Flite Test crew! Abby and I Love your channel and everything you are about =^) We've been watching for a while now, and always enjoy your videos! We think it would be great to one day meet up with you and just have some fun flying. Until then, we'd love to see one of your planes over on our channel! so going to build this tomorrow! I have depron to spare, lol, much depron, white and black!
Funny episode where's the sausge bomber? lol Looks like a good all around fun plane IMO!
Could you guys do a actual ''FT Simple Trainer'' with the same wing power set up as you use for this plane?
This was hilarious! Great job guys
Thanks you Brian!
Love it this is gonna be a good tow plane and float plane platform going to dollar tree soon to get the foam I just built my first ft swappable the ft 3d it's amazing ! Keep up the good work!
Great episode!
Hey Flitetest. I really like this plane, but I was just wondering how it handles in the wind.
I have flown the "bacon bomber" in so much wind that at more than half throttle it just sits in one place. It handles very well in a variety conditions! Hope that helps! ~Eric
Me too. It likes a bigger battery in wind. I use a 4S 1800 most of the time and it's a little twitchy, but handles lots of wind on low rates.
School lunch would've been so much more fun with the implementation of this!
Great next swappable - just what the lineup needed.
please could you do some videos on some of peters (STOL i think?) planes.
I'd love to see you guys come up with a real FAST FOAMY.
the wait is over!
This is one of my favorite FT videos. Best part, you still ate the food. Because otherwise, if you didn’t, I could say “videos like this are why other countries hate us.’ But thats only a joke.
