If you could attach the cylinders to the motor so that they rote when the motor runs like the rotary engines in the original aircraft that would be awesome!
That’s a neat idea. However like the real rotary engines of early biplanes and triplanes, you would have to deal with extra motor torque at low speeds, due to the added rotational inertia. I guess more realism!

Just got back from Oshkosh: your designs were well represented at evening R/C flying events near the museum. And after watching a beautiful new F7F nose in and disintegrate, I'm even more inclined towards building my own foam board airframes.
My old challenge still remains. I want to see a full WWI TriPlane versus Sopwith Camel battle, but with onboard airsoft mounted in the WWI fashion with a chain interrupter synchronized with the propellers, just the way the real ones were mounted.
We used to do this stuff with spads, ok, we used paintball guns or the occasional spudgun, but it was a ton of fun. With the light foam board stuff it'd be much safer. Fun times relived, thanks.

He was in so much pain for several days that he could not think straight and could not function at work. What are the chances - I don't know but maybe you should wear heavy gloves if you do this? Maybe bottle rockets aimed and launched from PVC pipe? Or paintball...
Spent my whole teaching career using Formech vacuum formers. Great fun, they seem to have fallen out of favour in schools now, pushed out by newer tech like 3d printing and laser cutters. You really need a CAD CAM milling machine to make the moulds.

Awesome! I highly recommend looking into airsoft with glowing bullets. The would probably do a lot of damage to the airplanes in a cool way and I bet you have local airsoft players that can help you either borrow their stuff or invite them in for some fun!
Can you take a plastic model kit add an engine and RC controls and make it fly? Like an AMT or Rexell model that uses airplane glue to put it together. Perhaps collaborate with a model maker channel. After all they are supposed to be scale models. I'd love to see a couple of different models like a P51 Mustang and a British Spitfire.
I kinda remember that.....now thanks to the internet, you can do vac forming at home with pegboard and a shop vac. edit: after a quick google, yup, just like I remembered. I bet you remember creepy crawlers too? Back when toy safety wasn't a thing lol. "let's give kids access to a red hot heating element" lol

Can you try to design a very large plane (like 2000mm or even larger) that is not to hard to build and flies something like a storch and try to also make it budget friendly like the storch?

It can be all yours for the low low on-sale price of $5000 USD. Really cool stuff they're doing, but I can't imagine why they're pointing their viewers to this stuff this expensive with the implication that it's great for DIY / hobby projects.

But I've noticed something after I left for a while to wait for some videos I came back to find out the channel Is dying if the channel is dying does that mean y'all won't be able to make these amazing videos anymore 😢 I don't want to see this channel go man

There are so many planes in the flite test store that are beginner friendly. Have a look at the models. They will show skill levels in build and flight characteristics. The tiny trainer and FT flyer are two great places to start. The simple cub and simple scout are great second or third planes. The Fokker dr1 is also friendly to fly but a little more involved on the build side. The nutball is a great oddball that has it's own unique flight style. I almost always have a light up nutball for night flights as it is a great calm wind slow flyer. Jump in and have fun!
@FliteTest have you got any advice for Laser cutting foam board with a CO2 laser, I work in a school and its for architectural models. We work on 40 + 80 W Machines from HPC.
I want to see fpv air combat with bottle rockets mounted to sequentially fire. Five per wing. Bottle rockets give you tracer effect with explosion and I'm sure ya'll could figger out a firing sequencer! Roman candles on planes with fpv should be cool too, and again, just need to work out the firing circuits.
What's the big deal about that vacuum forming machine ??? Back in the 60's my folks bought me a Mattel Vacu-Form machine toy. I made all sorts of things with that, though on a smaller scale, ha ha.

Vacuform was a toy you could get in the sixties that did the same process on a MUCH smaller, hand pumped, scale.
