Watched the whole 7.5 hrs! Hitting 50 years old this year and with numerous marathons under my belt - trying to get up the nerve to tackle an ultra. Isn't watching an ultra video ABOUT an ultra the first step? Thanks for the motivation Kerry!
7.5 hours? I am not sure what I am more impressed by: - You running that race - You recording that much footage - You managing to carry all the batteries and cards
Heiko, be impressed with the editing being done. Amazingly, managed to never replace the battery. Just kept topping it up with a power bank. My second battery went unused.
My favorite part of this video is all the people telling Kerry how he has inspired them to be out there. Hopefully, that helps him understand just how much of an impact he's made in the community. Your videos bring so much to ultra running and they spark so much interest! Thank you, Mr. Ward!
Took me 75 hours and 3 hot showers in between to finish this video. Kinda unheard of. Not really sure what place I came in, but being so motivated and inspired after the video is what truly matters.
Kerry, this is an amazing "feature film." I haven't even done a 100, let alone an event like this. Not only did you finish this race, but managed to narrate and film the entire length of it. I hope you are donating your body to science 😂 🧠. You are correct in your observation, the barrier of entry into very long ultras is huge for even decent long distance runners. Finding pacers and family to support these massive efforts requires the stars to align for some. I hope some day to volunteer to support some of you super-humans.
Erik - you absolutely should jump in and pace/crew/AS vollie ASAP. It is a slippery slope and you will be welcomed into the fold for sure. It would be great to see you out there.
Watched the whole damn thing over the course of 3 days. Love that you kept it all in there; the good and the bad. Sightings of Jamil, Billy, Courtney, Pam, Walmsley. Interesting takes on the differences between Moab and Coco. Also viewers can never get enough food gossip, once again the good and the bad. Bean wraps! I really like this long form approach. My 3 ultra filmmakers are Jamil, Billy and you sir.
So, do I get a buckle for finishing this video? 😆 very inspiring and really enjoyed all 7+ hours of footage. Made me feel like I was a part of the race.
There are some great trail running video-makers on UA-cam - Billy Yang's films are beautifully produced, Eric Strand's have the funniest one-liners by far, some races are just made for great videos (Barkley Marathons) and here in the UK Stephen Cousins has made some good films (especially his CCC race at UTMB). But that was, by some margin, the most enjoyable film on trail running that I have ever seen. It is a real credit to you that you can perform at that level whilst documenting everything. And the Dax/Mike/Ben were great sub-plots with very engaging personalities. Well done on creating a really superb documentary, which really deserves to be on Netflix/Amazon Prime
That's absolutely awesome that John was able to do the 8 mile uphill stretch with you. You helping him reach his dream of pacing and you getting help as well. Thank you so much for doing this and thank you to John as well. A Warrior he is. :)
Watched the whole thing. Love the longform rather than having to track down a series of videos. UA-cam remembers my place in the video across different devices so it was so easy to come back to and watch in chunks over a few days. I wish more did it this way. Thank you for all that you do, you're an inspiration Kerry!
Well done Kerry, and thanks for sharing your experience with us. Kudos to Miles for the music, too. A joy to watch, and I truly hope that the fabulous 4 can run together again. The friends you have gathered in your path speaks volumes of your quality as a person.
Love your videos Kerry! You are one of my heroes in ultra-running. This was a great video as to preprare me, and motivate me for my race this summer. Me and my two older brothers are running Oslo-Bergen trail race together, as a team. A race of 515k with 18k elevation. Gonna be a memory for life. Only teams allowed. 2 or 3 on each team at start, 2 have to finish to not get DNF. So one runenr can quit in the 3-man teams. Must stay together all the way. Anyway have a nice summer Kerry!
Stig, the Oslo-Bergen race sounds like an incredible time and interesting format. Hoping that the video does, in fact, prep and motivate you for the run. With 1/4 Norwegian blood in me, it was fun knowing there are some folks in Norway who are following along.
Yes! I'm waiting for this since I heard you are going to run this race. I followed along your race progress via the live stream and the live results. Such an amazing event and such an impressive effort by all participants (Aravaipa, volunteers, crew members, pacers and of course the runners). Congratulations for finishing this race, Kerry! I ran my first 100+ k self supported from my current place to my parents place a few days before Cocodona. It took me 15+ hours and it totally destroyed me. There was no way I would have been able to continue for another 300 kilometers. Oh man, I'm so stocked! Thanks for sharing your experience with us
Christian, hope it lived up to your expectations. Nice work on your 100K. After a certain point, it just doesn't matter any more with the distance - as long as the wheels stay on. Taking it section by section helps immensely. Otherwise it would be pretty overwhelming.
Kerry, you sure are different than most. Humanity is truly enhanced by positivity, encouragement and enthusiasm to others. You do such a good job conveying this premise that I enjoy sharing this (and other) of your videos with my adult and soon to be adult children. Keep up the great work. Al Glenn.
I was drinking my morning coffee when my wife pressed play. I thought I'll just watched till the coffee kicks in and I'll go outside for weekend duties. I spent the whole day watching this amazing inspiring race. I liked how you encouraged other runners. Gave your buckle and accomplished his dream of running. Pam really gave me hope that I might do this one day. Her age alone and her cute music ear muffs. After the race and your chat in car, I thought, shit I've wasted whole day watching this. Still another hour to go. Might as well turn it off. But then the Zoom call started and that was inspiring hearing all their adventures and fighting their demons. Vinaka (thanks) for an awesome 7hrs clip.
I found the beauty of ultra videos while training for different Ironman races. It was a great way to pass the time while on the bike trainer. Now I’ve kicked Ironman to the side and focusing on more running. Your videos and detail has really made me crave the challenge of an Ultra. Thanks for the inspiration and honesty in your videos
Ha! This is fantastic Kerry! Love how you caught Stephan off guard and almost talked him into running the triple crown at 1:14:30 in…his response was priceless!
The quality speech part around there 3:40 mark is perfect. I've never found the right words when people ask why I do races even though I'll never win. You voiced it perfectly.
After signing up for Cocodona 2023, I sat down with a notebook and pen. I proceeded to watch the entire video over the course of a week and take copious notes. Thank you for all the work you put into this. I really appreciated every minute, comment and filming detail. Congrats on your finish!! Perhaps someday we shall cross paths at race, until then - Cheers!!
Hey Kerry, I'm only 2 plus hours into the video but helped me run a treadmill 20K for an Aravapia virtual run. Made the time pass fast, can't wait to finish the whole video.
Here I am a year later and watching your video again! I love that it is 7 1/2 hours! I am watching while cycling indoors as it is super cold and grey outside. The high today is below 0! Watching all of you running in 90 degrees makes my heart warmer! Plus you are always happy and grateful to be able to run 250 miles! Thank you.
Just incredible. What a wonderful footage and video you have put together. Awesome that you decided to run a 250, just so you can finally make a 7hr movie. True inspiration. Thanx!
Loving this video! I have this race on list for 2024 & this was so helpful for me and my husband to decide to run this. 2023 we will be crewing and pacing for a friend. Can’t even wait! Kerry, your videos have been a great inspiration to me, thank you very much! Hope to see you out on the trail sometime soon.
I watched the entire thing!! I’m hooked. I want to run these races. I just ran my first long distance over 10 miles. I did 36 miles for my 36th birthday run. It was an incredible experience to be able to do it with no training other then normal 4-6 mile runs. You sir got me now ready to train for more distances. Thanks 🙏
This video nudged me into signing up for my 1st 100 miler. I have really enjoyed all of Kerry's videos over the years but this one was special. I think when you do these long events you have to balance enjoying the race and suffering through it. I'm glad Kerry got to "enjoy" it.
Kerry, hats off to you. I have you watched the whole video without skipping 1 minute. It took me a total of 6 days due to work and family. If you ever come to Sweden to run, it would be an honor to pace you. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to more videos :)
You are an incredible human being, Kerry! I enjoy all of your videos, but this one was fantastic by far. The scenery, the trials and tribulations, the joys you captured throughout the run... kept me entranced.
Just finished the whole video so I just wanted to comment a second time and share my thoughts. Loved all the parts with Pam Reed. I mean she is just mind blowing, and she's so cute too, I just can't get enough of her. I love her little attitude. The zoom at the end was a great touch. It was awesome to get all the different point of views. I feel like if you can jump in to pace dax next yr that would make a world of difference. Its really impressive going through that without pacers at night. If he had pacers that would probably have made a major difference. And thankyou for providing so much in depth content as always. Really appreciated! I can't imagine the extra work and effort it takes to complete the race and stay motivated enough to document all the way through.
This was so inspirational. I watched this over 2 days. Feeling a little under the weather so this video was perfect to pass the last 2 days. Thank you Kerry. I appreciate you 😊
You’re an animal Kerry. Your videos have inspired me, along with many others, to start running ultras. Trail running has had an incredibly positive impact on my life. Thank you for that. Keep it gangster my friend
This is fantastic. I appreciate the work you put into this to allow us to experience this adventure with you. The long format is different, but it was much more gratifying to watch - much like an epic novel.
Kerry you are a real inspiration and one hell of a runner. I've watched all your videos and this is my favourite and I really loved it when you gave John your Buckle ♥️♥️♥️ Well done to you, all the other runners, crews, Pacers and staff you all did awesome👏👏👏 I can't wait until your next video which hopefully won't be 2 long. Cheers, Wayne 👍👍👍
I am at the finish line part now. I will endure and get to the total end. What a journey, the heat, the uphills, musician Miles, John the king of pacers, Courtney Dauwalter at the aid station, Jim Walmsley running by, teaming up with Wes Plate, and then the dance and acrobatic performance at the end! Sad that the video is so short;-)))
I was really enjoying this hole documentary. All the pre/post-interview stuff gave me at deeper experience. Kerrys personal approach too all people on and off the course is great. The mix. Off pictures recorded from other people is also great. I’m thankful for this movie, an done off my favourites parts, is where Kerry giving John the buckle…🥲 Thanks ones again too Kerry for taking the time too give us all this movie…
Thanks, CSEY, I loved being able to meet so many other people in the race - and thought is an important part of the story to show what happened in the end.
Having recently been diagnosed with Parkinson disease, I love to watch your videos while trying to keep fit and sane. The joy, the hardship and resilience are inspiring. Your attitude about living in the moment is a great life lesson. One foot in front of the other. There will be good times and bad. Persevere through the hardships and the light will shine again. Thank you. Jean-Marc, Monteal.
What an emotional journey to be a part of with you! A teary-eyed moment with you and Wes just before the finish line and again when you crossed over. I have an incredible appreciation for the tenacity and effort you put into the things you do :-) It's a privilege to know you digitally and physically. Congratulations on your 255 mile achievement!
My Wife and I watched the whole deal. Took us a week and really enjoyed it. Excellent work with the filming as usually. This is our third trip down the rabbit hole of your channel. We have previously watched Ultra Zombie Pacing the Colorado Trail and Delirious West Australia. Love to watch and gain insight about these large journeys. If you are ever in the Southeast US and in need of some pacing or crew for a run give us a shout! All the best with your adventures!
My timelines have been messed up on my UA-cam, so I don’t know the timestamp where I’m at but it’s when you’re poking your blisters on your feet. Kudos to you to putting it in there man. If somebody is too sensitive about that stuff… Fast forward or whatever. This is endurance stuff, and shite occurs. It’s good to show as much reality as possible👍
Always love you videos. I would watch your videos while doing hours on the stairmill while in prep for a bodybuilding competition. As soon as the competition was over, your videos inspired me to get out on the trails and I ran my first ultra (which was also my first race ever) 6 months later.
Done. Was going to watch this over a few nights during the week. Pivot. Just did an all nighter. Great content Kerry. Great insights. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I got so excited with Kerry when they entered another culvert!! Hahaha love the enthusiasm throughout the whole video. Thanks for sharing your experience, friendship, and wisdom through this channel.
There is something very special about a extra long form video that may begin to convey the remarkable length of a world class challenging ultra endurance event like this. Thanks for producing and sharing. Congratulations on your magnificent performance.
Thankyou Kerry. Another amazing ultra video!! Your sleep deprived philosophizing is fantastic and motivating. Amazing effort considering how hot and brutal the course was. Keep it up you exceptional human being!
Truly great work, Kerry! As epic as Laurence of Arabia! Loved how you both romanticized the distance as well giving the course it's motherf'n gritty respect. Felt your pain turn into joy when you went from double track to single, I'm always the same. I think my favorite part, though, was actually the zoom call. The camaraderie and respect and sense of community was palpable. And you can swing!
LOL - what a great assessment, Steve. I love me some singletrack - that is for certain. And the zoom call I liked very much, too. Especially as we all couldn't be together after the race with timing being what it was.
Wow! Made it through the whole thing and am now even more impressed by all the runners who took on this beast. It's nice to have a long form, deep look into the race. In the coming years, all entrants will be immensely grateful for the work you put into this video. Though to be honest, you may have talked me *out* of signing up lol. Well done, Kerry!
Extraordinary viewing mate..Incredibly raw and super inspiring..Have to admit,I got a bit teary with the hug between Wes and yourself just before the finish line and then when I saw Dax and Sarah waiting there, the tears started, presenting John(what an awesome job he did) with your buckle was an amazing thing to do..Mate this was epic, the run,the videoing the whole package..I loved how you finished it with the chat at the end..Well done Kerry, bravo on a job well done again😊 P.S....Pam Reed, what an athlete❤
Jackie, I was emotional several times during the run. These events tend to put me into a place where it is raw enough that the normal filters and guards are gone. So happy you enjoyed it. And yes.... Pam. Legend.
I found your channel during quarantine, and have loved watching all of your long-form docs. I was hoping another one was coming around the bend, and I am very excited to see this! Cheers!
Such an amazing video, great footage of the race and testimony of all those people you were with. Heck… even got to see Courtney D. and Jim W!! You are a great story teller and very inspiring. Greetings from northern Alberta 🇨🇦
Only about forty minutes in but I'll say this right away. Wonderful stuff! With some experience of your videos and you as host of the show this can only turn out to be a fabulous bunch of hours😊.
This is way better than an ultra marathon book. So much information to unpack. Beautifully done. Going for my grand slam of watching this at work tomorrow.
watching in 5-10 minute spurts in the middle of the night helped me keep my cool while sleep training my baby. It also gave me the motivation to start running again- thank you for doing what you do! I also loved the Australian video, Bigfoot, Everest, and rim to rim to rim. 😜 thanks again!
I just did my first 50k, and came back to watch the second half of this for the second time. What I find amazing is how well you were moving when you were running even after 100/200 miles. Fantastic film, and fantastic form on the run! I know many have said this before, but this is about the best ultra film I've seen. I honestly think this race will get big and you'll be a large factor in that.
Cheers for the huge effort on the event and putting together this video. The long format was awesome, watched every minute of it and if there was more I would have kept going. Can't wait to see your next epic episode.
Kerry! Thank you for documenting this inaugural ultra, So many great moments in this 7.5 hours! I watched this over two days and was hooked. Pam is an absolute beast, not to mention everyone who completed this! Congrats to you! really loved the adventure. I was like wtf?? Even bumped into Jim Walmsley!! haha!
By far the best race documentary I ever watch! Learn so much from the conform of my couch! thanks for all the sharing Kerry! and congratulations on another 200miles run!
Wow, next week I´ve got 7 hours 33 minutes and 37 seconds extra free time which I´ve got to find something to do with! Great effort on all fronts Kerry
Epic video! Tackled it over the course of a few days, snatching half an hour here, an hour there when I could. Always wonderful to see these races from the ground level and get a sense of how things really feel. Amazing energy and an inspiration as always Kerry.
As always you are such an inspiration to all runners.

Billy Yang wanted to take the stickers off so bad. I'm in the first hour and will watch it all the way, very inspiring, great chanel! Greets from Croatia!
Thanks for the video Kerry, LOVE these ultra long videos. What an amazing and caring person John is. Loved how he organized everything at the aid stations and doing his best to please Kerry. I teared up a little bit when Kerry gave him the buckle. I would love to have a John crew me if i ever run an ultra.
Loved watching this, did it virtually here in the uk over the course of 4 weeks instead though! You guys all kicked butt!!! Brilliant video and enjoyed the zoom catch up at the end hearing how everybody got on, hats off to you all 👏
Such an amazing experience! Running my first ultra Saturday (55k) as my last training run for a 50 miler in a few weeks. Watching your videos the last couple weeks to mentally prepare. Thanks for all the hard work in creating these amazing videos!
Oh yeah! I watched all!! So congratulations!!🎉 As a Wes Plate's Fan I was so Happy to see you share part of the race with him! 🎉🎉 Keep strong!!! Love from Italy 🇮🇹❤️

50 is the perfect age to begin tackling Ultras, my friend. Definitely the first step is watching what you are about to do.
7.5 hours? I am not sure what I am more impressed by:
- You running that race
- You recording that much footage
- You managing to carry all the batteries and cards

@@FullTiltWard That's incredible. Also handy to know for my own vlogging
@@FullTiltWard Sounds like you've had more success with the GoPro 9 than I have, crashes all the time :(

Sitting here for the next 5 days until the premiere. Who’s with me?

2 hours into your footage! Well done on showing the runners position and times!!!
Thanks, CSEY, I loved being able to meet so many other people in the race - and thought is an important part of the story to show what happened in the end.
It was cool to see AZ represent Jim Wamsley running at Buffalo Park in your video!
Wow, we need more of these long form videos! I was captivated from start to finish! Thanks Kerry.
Thanks for your support, Jean-Marc. Still so much to do, right?
I don’t know how you do it, but your videos keep getting better and better. You are killing it!!!!
Made it! What a video. Thanks for conceiving, running, filming, editing and then posting. Amazing content as always and an excellent sound track.
Best Ultra race documentary ever, Kerry. Well done on this huge undertaking . You deserve a nice break after this.
I love all your interactions with your fellow runners
My timelines have been messed up on my UA-cam, so I don’t know the timestamp where I’m at but it’s when you’re poking your blisters on your feet. Kudos to you to putting it in there man. If somebody is too sensitive about that stuff… Fast forward or whatever. This is endurance stuff, and shite occurs. It’s good to show as much reality as possible👍
Watched it all. Several days mostly on treadmill and eliptical!
So much appreciated, John. Thank you.
Made it all the way through.. over 3 days! 🏃🏻💨 Thx, Kerry!
Thankyou Kerry. Another amazing ultra video!! Your sleep deprived philosophizing is fantastic and motivating. Amazing effort considering how hot and brutal the course was. Keep it up you exceptional human being!
At hour 5 i needed to pee put pushed on through.
Awesome effort on your end as well Kerry. 250 sweet miles - wow.
Made me laugh - hopefully had your nutrition plan pan out for the viewing, too.
Well done on so many fronts.
Watched all your 7.33 hours over two days, enjoyed everything especially your pacer John.
Extraordinary viewing mate..Incredibly raw and super inspiring..Have to admit,I got a bit teary with the hug between Wes and yourself just before the finish line and then when I saw Dax and Sarah waiting there, the tears started, presenting John(what an awesome job he did) with your buckle was an amazing thing to do..Mate this was epic, the run,the videoing the whole package..I loved how you finished it with the chat at the end..Well done Kerry, bravo on a job well done again😊
P.S....Pam Reed,what an athlete❤
Jackie, I was emotional several times during the run. These events tend to put me into a place where it is raw enough that the normal filters and guards are gone. So happy you enjoyed it. And yes.... Pam. Legend.
I found your channel during quarantine, and have loved watching all of your long-form docs. I was hoping another one was coming around the bend, and I am very excited to see this! Cheers!
Awesome, thank you!
Took me a few days but I watched it all! Nicely done everything from the race to the video.
This was a great complement to the Aravaipa coverage. Thank you so much for sharing this experience.
This is way better than an ultra marathon book. So much information to unpack. Beautifully done. Going for my grand slam of watching this at work tomorrow.
Another great epic video. Always enjoy seeing someone take joy in the journey and experience above the destination.
Another 200+ ?! Keep up the nice work! Love the long form coverage on these long races.
watching in 5-10 minute spurts in the middle of the night helped me keep my cool while sleep training my baby.
Absolutely incredible! Was exciting to watch your progress on the live tracker the whole race! Epically long video for the epic race!
Kerry! Thank you for documenting this inaugural ultra, So many great moments in this 7.5 hours! I watched this over two days and was hooked. Pam is an absolute beast, not to mention everyone who completed this! Congrats to you! really loved the adventure. I was like wtf?? Even bumped into Jim Walmsley!! haha!
Cameron - there were legends aplenty on this event for sure. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Made it to the end of this ultra video 😴 What a great show and insight into the race. Kerry style all the way. Good job FullTilt 👊
Thanks Aaron.
I’m on my second viewing. This may be my favorite movie of yours yet Kerry.
Even with the most heinous events, there is always someone who steps up to do the 'double'. Nice work @ErikTheRed.
By far the best race documentary I ever watch! Learn so much from the conform of my couch! thanks for all the sharing Kerry! and congratulations on another 200miles run!
Thanks Kerry👍just finished the whole clip. Great as always ✊
Really enjoy this video so far, I’m only 2 hours in….so glad youtube recommended it to me.
Thank you for taking the time to make this insightful video. Appreciate it :)
Excellent video and inspiring! Thank you for another epic video.
Loved watching this, did it virtually here in the uk over the course of 4 weeks instead though! You guys all kicked butt!!! Brilliant video and enjoyed the zoom catch up at the end hearing how everybody got on, hats off to you all 👏
Full tilt Friday’s would be sweet!!!! 💯
Love the video….always doing a great job Kerry. Impressive!
May need to revive that tradition, Shawn. The live format works well for me because of the dearth of editing required.
