That's what I love of the Zep. They played blues, rhythm and blues, rock, metal, ballads and middle eastern music. Not many bands have done that. Too many people stuck in the "I am a cool rocker" stuff and "rockers don't......(a large list of limitations)" stuff. Led Zeppelin was free to experiment and that's the reason they were so big.

True, not metal, not at all metal band.... BUT metal Bands such as Judas and Rod Zombie always remembers Led Zeppelin as their reason to join Music, Rock specially and then Black Sabbath and such ...Led Zeppelin was the beginning of a lot of things, not just metal..so I understand the confusion when people say that Led Zeppelin is metal when its Far away of it.

I think Zeppelin inspired heavy metal , BlackSabbath created it . They wer absolutely inspired by Zeppelin in what they did. Zeppelin went ALOT of different directions musically , as you said .Heavy was just one small part of their repetoire. Lots of heavy bands play a ballad once in a while but not many are dabbling in Morrocan folk music lol

In my recording studio "The Blast Zone" in Switzerland- I have recently and successfully recaptured Led Zeppelin's energy and sonic tone of the classic "Communication Breakdown" performing all instruments AND vocals by myself- can't believe it? have a listen- www.kinoman.az/az/music/listen/233694595?q=

@3mpireFAll Yeah, I would say so. It's got that kind of style to it. The singer is kind of like a modern Robert Plant if you will.

Lalo Tapia i dunno but maybe anne and nancy would stop flirting to the camera we might be able to know the name of the song. those two ladies are just saying self-indulgent metaphors about led zeppelin but at least they like led zeppelin. i always thought Heart was a gimmicky band wanting to be great.

What if Jimmy had continued his studies in biological research? He could have discovered a cure for cancer but we'll never know.

What do you mean how did they take it away? They just went up to him and physically took it and didn't give it back to him until school was over for the day.

Did Chris just call Jimmy Page "effete"? Mild mannered and soft spoken, sure -- but calling Jimmy effete connotes something his string of conquests would beg to differ.

Zeppelin and Sabbath set the template for what became heavy metal. Sabbath weren't metal either! They were hard rock and would experiment with keyboards like Zeppelin but also utilized strings, choirs and synthesizers and their albums post-Master of Reality were more in tune with progressive rock (Volume 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sabotage, Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die). Also Sabbath used a horn section on Never Say Die. The real first true metal band was Judas Priest as Sabbath also denounced metal.

zero Sabbath lost their popularity in America after Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Sabbath alienated American fans with Sabotage and their use of choirs, keyboards, strings and horns. Wasn't until Heaven and Hell that Sabbath regained their popularity thanks to Ronnie James Dio joining!

No man , What's sad is going to videos for no other purpose than to leave disagreeable comments . The very fact that you are on this video at all , feeling the way you supposedly do about the band featured here ,says alot about who you are . I have never spent my time online looking at things i do not like , and neither would any other normal person . . There are alot of things to look at on youtube , but you spend your time here , begging for attention . .That is sad
