    I have been heavily into music for most of my life. I bought toys in the attic used for $3 in 1976 at 8 yrs old. Zep and the Stones are my favorites of all time, but Zep just has something more than any other band I have ever heard. They grab you and knock you straight on your ass. To hear Ahmet, who is like the grandfather for RR bands give Zep the kind of props that he gives in this clip, just puts it into perspective. He is basically saying they trumped everyone, and that's because it's true.

      Ahmet really did give them the biggest praise and he was there for their birth and what came after.

    Zeppelin defined a genre and set a standard. They never nade the same album twice and retained all their original members until Bonham's death in 1980. Quite a feat.

    led zep has been and will always be the mold for every hard rock band in the history of hard rock and metal !..there's no denying this or escaping it ..those who think otherwise are sadly mistaken ! their look , sound , stage presence, touring antics, debauchery, are synonymous with every cliche that exists within the music world and in all broad spectrums of it ! Zeppelin is Rock n Roll !

    This is great -- thanks for uploading!
    Another band that suffered much tragedy over the years was Lynyrd Skynyrd. The original band lost singer Ronnie, vocalist Cassie, guitarist Steve and manager Dean in a 1977 plane crash; guitarist Allen in 1993 to pneumatic complications from an auto crash that left him paraplegic, bassist Leon in 2001 from liver failure, and pianist Billy of a massive heart attack in 2008, and current line-up recently lost 2 members = 8 total. So tragic, so very sad.

    I had the pleasure of seeing them 3 times - Aug. 71, July '73 and April 75. They had such a mystery and raw sexuality about them...and of course the music remains insurpassible! Best rock band of all time!

    OMG The narrator says "With GRANT & Page at the helm"

    • @michaelr.4734
      @michaelr.4734 7 років тому +4

      That's because Peter Grant was the band's manger. Grant was also the manager of the Yardbirds and when they broke up and left Jimmy Page without a band it was he and Grant that put the band back together as the New Yardbirds. Ultimately the name was changed to Led Zeppelin and Grant managed them for their entire career. Jimmy was the leader of the band and Grant was the manager. That's why the phrase "With Grant and Page at the helm" is used.

    Zeppelin in concert back the day? Imagine the biggest frigging mega fan plugged in on stage blowing out, reversing the fan direction & sucking in .. while the masses were left ... blown away and then pulled into the experience - dazed and helpless as though they were each tiny scraps of confetti ..

    @1dpat69 That isn't cool. That is like playing Wolfmother or Kingdom Come along with a Led Zepplin biography. I call it bullshit. Like when Aerosmith had their biography done on MTV. MTV played techno and rap music along with the history of Aerosmith. That makes no sense.

    Both times I saw them: Kezar Stadium (San Francisco) and the Oakland Coliseum they were disappointing. I know that this is not a popular sentiment but I truly believe that their "legend" is much greater than their reality ever was. But, I've got to hand it to Zeppelin fans, you certainly are faithful.

    WHY HAVENT MORE PEOPLE WATCHED THIS!
    because Zeps story is old and known we all know about page and his black magic stuff and the zep were the biggest rip offs artist in rock music. stole so many lyrics and songs but didnt want to pay royalties untill they got sued. And they put up a storm if you did it to there songs. Espeacially ones that they stoled. Dont get me wrong I like zep but thats the truth about em. Bad influence on the youth. But good music and guitar influence.
