There is no other more commanding n infectious frontman than Robert Plant. And certainly till 2019 no other rock singer came close to that voice n range.
easy to see why Zep was one of the best ever - Page the guitar god,Bonham one of the best drummers ever,Plant's awesome voice and Jones master bass playing..all the ingredients for success...
The craziest thing about this interviews with these rock stars from the sixties and seventies. At the time, I never thought in a million years that I would ever here them do an interview that I could watch.
Does Robert Plant possess even the slightest notion that others are in awe of him? I think not. He's simply the most talented, wittiest, likable human being.
God I was born in 69 and was too young to experience Led Zeppelin. But hearing the music now I remember my youth. I love this band and Robert Plant do damn much. I wish I could see them once on stage.
Well I was born in 1966 April. I never saw them in concert but holy s*** My friend did and he had nothing but f****** nice things to say they rock. They f****** rock. I wish they could have kept going but after John Bonham died I guess that was it. Unbelievable. I mean f****** s*** just like now with Eddie gone. Rest in peace. Eddie Van Halen won't play anymore. They need to make a tribute to Van Halen. I guess David Lee Roth is holding it up or something as what I was reading. I don't know why they have so much good music. Why would diamond Dave do that anyways? Led Zeppelin is the bomb. They're the goat, The goat and I'm from South Florida
9:12 Plant as a "teacher" Mr. Plant, I hate math. Well son, always remember, Waaaaaaaaaaaaay dowwwwwwwwn insiiiiiiide, YooooooooooooouuuuuuuUUUUUUU, neeeeed, it.
There will NEVER BE ANOTHER ZEPPELIN and (sigh), it seems almost not fair.😥😭 I feel sorry for the young people today who will never, never ever see them live. I have. 3 times. I'm 62 now and I can still remember alot of the concerts I went to. I was a very young teenager and I was lucky enough to meet all 4 in person at JFK. I spoke directly to Bonham. I probably was 15 or 16 at the time and I was frozen in place until I asked Bonzo what he liked to drink, and he rubs his belly and says, I like me ale, smiling and laughing all the time. Page was so high, I thought he was going to fall over. Plant was jovial and obviously speeding his Tut's off. He was talking to some people who were his manager and a girlfriend I think. He just couldn't keep still. Bopping around and stuff and jonesy just stood off to the side quietly. My friends and I didn't dare to ask for an autograph because we felt like it would be uncool. There we're NO OTHER PEOPLE AROUND, JUST 3 FRIENDS AND MYSELF. Needless to say, I feel extremely lucky cause not too many people were in my shoes. God smiled down on us this one fine day and if I could do it all over again, I still wouldn't ask for an autograph. Lucky, lucky, lucky. That's me!!!!!
@doobiewah357 Even as a "minor league rocker", believe me, the groupies threw themselves at my/our feet, even flashing and jumping on stage to "grab on" from time to time. That crazy era seemed to know no absurdities.
There's a strange spell which seems to exist around Led Zeppelin. To hear them play takes the listener back to a time when cynicism couldn't defeat positivity. These days we have the X factor generation who sound like each other and last five minutes. They created something that has endured, and will last long after they've gone.
I hate to think about the music i love being forgotten. How do kids get through the day without ZEPPELIN. not just ZEP though. All the great music of that time. It's all put under classic rock now. The songs i have on my spotify list is a little over 900 now, and growing. This music will never be obsolete. Please don't let it be forgotten.
Good heavens, it's positively indecent that any one human being could be SO witty and SO charming and SO much fun and yes, SO totally, classically beautiful (when he was young, that is - now he's just a nice old buffer) Very unspoilt and natural too.
My aunt had a photo of Robert kissing one cheek , jimmy kissing the other. (She was somewhat a star-chaser, groupie type)She passed away and it ,among others (jackson browne, daltry, frampton,Styx, Mike Reno +) are gone... I wish I could locate them, I wanna say I'd donate them, but come on!
Regardless of any attempt since Zeppelin, They OWN THE CROWN. As Plant said "On some nights they were the best to ever walk that stage. Simple Truth. Pure, Vicious, Beautiful.
Although not a big Zeppelin fan when I was young I started to seek them out only after hearing Plant with Alison Kraus. It was then that I as started to fully appreciate his talent. I use to think " I don't listen to metal acts" ( I was so judgemental) but after "Raising Sand" I realized that Plant is just about MUSIC period. I'm so glad they have stayed broken up. They played that great show in 07 and then chose to go out on top. Many bands/ artist just can't/ don't accept that father time moves on and we can't stay young forever. Plant continues to impress me by how he continues to reinvent himself in the name of music.
I still can't get over how sexy he was on stage oh my definitely the best! They were- Led Zeppelin The Beethoven of rock and roll just like this interview says I believe they were the best rock band of all time. The singing- the passion was off the chart! And still stands the test of time today and Roberts still doing a pretty good damn job! Listening to them so many other songs make you feel like you're being made love to- without even being touched. His voice penetrated me....
No one makes love to the music like Robert Plant does. He is mesmerising on stage, and with that gorgeous hair. His incredible voice, combined with everything else made him one of a kind. LZ were ground-breaking and different.
Great vid! I saw Page and Plant in Ames, Iowa in 1994.....LZ stills give me a chill down my spine to this day; that's what real art, real music does to the beholder, folks.
All this is nothing more than old news. Great interview with Plant. Being of this generation it’s an honor to see a mainstream news, to me the greatest band ever, on Led Zeppelin. Back in the day they’d never do this. Only now.
They absolutely are the greatest rock band of all time.. without question and that’s in as number 1 of all time .. and then ac/dc and there close enough it’s almost impossible to put one above the other..
When you leave this earth I will shed a tear, you helped us grow through our teenage years. The rain song helped us shine a light through the fog, you truly held the hammer of the Gods. I was eleven when I first heard your song, I will always love Your song Stairway to Heaven.
Very well said by Robert Plant at around 04:30 mm:as, being a contributor is much more than being a hero. Also the explanation that they represented the youth culture and movement that time. 👍👍

Im so very sorry about Karet!! You were an awesome father!! Always take care of yourself!! Take care of your wife and family!!
These interviews have led to a great appreciation for so many of the 60's - 70's rock personalities. Keith Richards, Robert Plant, Jack Bruce and others had BIG personalities but the media wasn't there at that time so we could really know who they were. I love seeing them play and being coupled to them via these interviews.

Very good interview with Bobbie! After all these years gone by since the demise of Led Zeppelin, I believe it's safe to say they all still have what it takes to be some of the greatest musical influences, not only in rock music, but all music. Look at what they're still doing, from new material, tours (solo, like Plant), session playing, directing, production and even giving the helping hand to new artists. Who knows if we will ever see a world wide tour with the 3 remaining members of the greatest band ever. If there is a chance, I'd be the first in line. If not, I can still have the memories of growing up in an era that included the likes of Led Zeppelin. Either way, the world needs to remember that there will never be another like them and pay homage to what they created.
Robert Plant was head and shoulders above ANY singer and 4 meteors getting together created the perfect storm. Jagger and his stage presence can't hold a candle to ZEPPELIN. He wasn't sexy and charismatic. Plant was THE SEXIEST frontman to ever walk this Earth. Jagger was a skinny, ugly bloke. Thin as a piece of uncooked spaghetti and in my book, that's not sexy at all. Seeing ZEPPELIN live was like a right of passage and probably the first thing on anyone's bucket list. Plant was like a writhing snake in his vests and jeans. The next best frontman was and still is, Freddie Mercury. Jagger comes in at maybe number 7 or eight, because there were even more frontmen from other bands. I really like the Stones but Jagger is ugly. As a matter of fact, all the members of the Stones are ugly, especially Keith Richards. Just voicing my opinion mate's.🐦
When all of the cacophony and fame of youth settle down, you have a magical Plant making sense of it all and giving it the definition that only age can bring. Thank you, Robert for being part of our lives and for adding to the cosmos.
I love this interview. It's EDUCATED. The interviewer is obviously a fan. Better than "so uh. What was it like being in Led Zeppelin?" Like she is funny and points out both sides to a story.

@doobiewah357 Could you just stop obsessing over Lori Maddox? She was a groupie who no doubt looked far older then her actual years. She chased men and was no little innocent so you really don't need to rant hysterically over what she did. You are such a tiresome bore.
There’s something so special about that band. I was born in 88 and I play guitar and piano because of Led Zeppelin! I feel like I own them sooo much.
I'm 62. i've seen these guys 6/23/77. I was only 14 & turned 15 the fallowing month. 67,000 people, im from a small town in Nebraska. At the time, that was the most people i had ever seen in one place. What a day that was...
There is no other more commanding n infectious frontman than Robert Plant. And certainly till 2019 no other rock singer came close to that voice n range.
Q
He was never a great singer tho he just had charisma
Freddie Mercury says, wot???
B@@chickentwisties2298B.S....BEST EVER...
@@chickentwisties2298, really, what are you smoking…certainly not the good stuff.
i really love this band one of the greatest rock band of all times in my time..
So true, if not the greatest rock band ever. Their chemistry is just astonishing! :)
plant and page remain 2 of the greatest song writers in rock history
Does this lady realize how lucky she is to be standing next to Robert Plant as he casually sings. OMG!
Only in my dreams.
Robert Plant. self-deprecating and honest to a fault.
easy to see why Zep was one of the best ever - Page the guitar god,Bonham one of the best drummers ever,Plant's awesome voice and Jones master bass playing..all the ingredients for success...
Oh he knows, but he is a grown up now.
Yes, obviously he knows and he used that seduction on the stage
He knew it, enjoyed the hell out of it and worked it for all it was worth!
As a Catholic Robert Plant maybe more stable, disciplined as he's amazing.
Love Robert Plant! And shout to that interviewer! She brought out the best in him
aaaaaa... this guy is charming to the bones... allways been... allways will...😉😍
Keep your panties on lol
And he is a LEO!!! He looks like a golden maned cat with the expansive personality of the sun. Perfect for a front man.
So glad to see Plant in a great state of mind at this stage in his life.

The greatest rock and roll band of all time. Period the end.
Absolute truth
I am your age, a 1957er, and recall the Led well. You always have that great memory forever bless you!!!
@doobiewah357 I did Google Lori and it seems she was chasing and fucking every rock star she could get hold of,
So who really gives a flying fuck now?
@doobiewah357 Even as a "minor league rocker", believe me, the groupies threw themselves at my/our feet, even flashing and jumping on stage to "grab on" from time to time. That crazy era seemed to know no absurdities.
Marilyn Catalano greta van fleet
@bede How can you improve Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Santana etc? Their music takes you to heaven The challenge for those who come behind es too big No way
There's a strange spell which seems to exist around Led Zeppelin.
I’m 23 now, love them.
Gotta love Robert Plant, still so charming after all these years.
"Golden God Of Rock!"...thats an UNDERSTATEMENT! There's not a gem on this planet that can describe Sir Robert!!!
Good heavens, it's positively indecent that any one human being could be SO witty and SO charming and SO much fun and yes, SO totally, classically beautiful (when he was young, that is - now he's just a nice old buffer) Very unspoilt and natural too.
Mairwen 99 . This guy is still sizzlingly gorgeous ma'am
gawd i love him.agreed.
I wouldn't say no to him!
So true but although he's an "old buffer," he's still a handsome man. People can be beautiful at all ages, and he is an example.
The greatest band to ever excist and still is ! They set a high standard bar..
Well said. He has kept relevant to his craft for exactly these reasons.
Tommy Petersen The Immigrant Song got me. Only Plant could make a dopey song like that SO SEXY.
Tommy Petersen 😔😔😔😔
Awesome comment. :-)
LEO.
Beautiful video! I love Led Zeppelin. Thank you so much, and thank you, my love Robert. 🌷🙏🏻😘
man this 60 minutes is way better than the ones they do in the US smh
Sayin'
If I had such a great journalist interviewing me, I'd be as animated and twinkling as Robert Plant was in this interview. Excellent interview!
My Dream = To one day watch Led Zeppelin live in concert.
Too bad
Troy weiler unfortunately the best we can get is video of their concerts
Troy weiler - 2018 is a distinct possibility
Jeff Adams no it isn't its not getting reunited. Plant was offered 270 million to reunite but declined
Troy weiler there are concerts you can buy on DVD
Great vid! I saw Page and Plant in Ames, Iowa in 1994.....LZ stills give me a chill down my spine to this day; that's what real art, real music does to the beholder, folks.
"What will we do without cheese? there'd be nothing on the radio.."

All this is nothing more than old news. Great interview with Plant. Being of this generation it’s an honor to see a mainstream news, to me the greatest band ever, on Led Zeppelin. Back in the day they’d never do this. Only now.
Carmen Plant is absolutely beautiful.....
Of course she is. She takes after her father.
I never tire of going back in time and listening to that music and watching Zeppelin documentaries!! Thanks for the great memories! ❤
I was eleven when I first heard your song, I will always love Your song Stairway to Heaven.

john olavin, I LOVED that too ❤️❤️😂

Today that would get him cancelled
Very well said by Robert Plant at around 04:30 mm:as, being a contributor is much more than being a hero. Also the explanation that they represented the youth culture and movement that time. 👍👍
What a charming man !! Mr Plant sending you my whole lot of love from Greece 🇬🇷 ❤️
I love you, Robert Plant!! You are one heck of an musician and one heck of an artist!! You never cease to amaze me!! You are such a kind and compassionate man! I love your soul!!
I want to go back in time......I hope science creates space travel in my lifetime.

Robert Plants interview proves that he is just more than his voice and music. A legend whose voice and performance had a tenacious effect on a movement which is still hoping for one more gripping performance
Want to see Zeppelin ? Watch Celebration Day on a nice big HD TV with a great sound system and turn it up loud. It's probably as close as you will ever get anymore and it's pretty great.
mrhyde2484 not true jason bonham led zeppelin experience
I do agree with you mrhyde2484 , just watch Celebration and appreciate it . And those 80's music is very cheesy .
they nailed that
Or see Mr Robert Plant who’s still touring, live.
Devil worshippers, druggies, alcoholics and I loved every minute of their co-existence as that mystical in your face, best kick ass heavy RocknRoll Band of all time without a doubt! RIP John Henry Bonham.
I wish Robert's son never died. RIP
Nobody expects the spanish inquisition I wish Jim never died
SAGE ANGEL WILLIAMS- John you mean? John Bonham died.
I do imagine what he would've grown up to be if he hadn't. That's so unfortunate and saddening.
Joey Huebner He means Jim Morrison
Karo French- Okay, I get it now. He has the Jim Morrison profile pic. My apologies.
LEGENDS - and their name and songs will live on forever!!! Bless you all!!
The interviewer seems to be in love with Robert Plant. Beautiful one.
I loved this candid interview with Robert Plant , it took me down memory lane .
Plant straight up told that woman he was gonna throw her over his knee n she gushed over it ...go'head with ya bad self Robert!
Those guys were the viking gods of sex & rock & roll. They have powers that us mortals can't fathom. What choice did she have?
Shes asking for itby the way she smiles at everything robert plant was saying...
One Man 1970 she wanted it anyway😂
She's not asking for anything. He's just very funny and silly and harmless, so she can't help but laugh. Guys like that are fun, and oh yeah, confident. It's easy to fall for them. He cracks me up all the time and I never thought he was that hot, but his personality is great. He's just very charming. "Dzimmy" on the other hand is tres hot but more aloof.
@@samroney6644 You caught that too...
He's a lovely bloke. He is so down to earth unlike so many younger so called 'stars' who think everyone is beneath them. He would have been a great teacher though.
i must say im sorry for my past stupidity about robert plant i should have my nuts cut off for saying anything about this great entertainer who the hell am i just a fan that could never get enough of wonderfull music that theses great artists madeROBERT PLANT IS and ALWAYS WILL BE SIMPLY THE BEST OF THE BEST AS WAS THE REST OF THE BAND PAST AND PRESENT LET US REMEMBER THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER LED ZEPPLIN ANOTHER ROBERT PLANT OR JIMMY PAGE LISTEN TO THIS VIDEO WHAT A AWSUME GUY
Norse Sex god front man, the dark magician on guitar, a madman with monster kicks dropping triplets on drums, and JPJ rock steady Bass and keyboards ..GREATEST ROCK BAND EVER
ROLLING STONES #1 SORRY
Norse? His mother is of gypsy lineage. And always West Midlands/South Staffs even now. Hence references to occasional Lord of the Rings. But nothing "Norse' at all.
Was there at the beginning and just saw him last night at the 02 centre, London, Blues Fest 2018. He is still rockin' it and I am 66 years old, still love my Rock Gods!!
Great interview, well done! Robert Plant came over as an honest normal person, loved this xx
My girlfriend and I went to Oakland in the evening of July 23rd 1977 and waited in line all night long . The gates opened at 6 am and we all ran to the next new line to get in . It was July 24th 1977 in Oakland CA. , OH MY , what a great concert it was . Little did anyone know at that time , This was the last U.S. concert Led Zep. would play and I was there . This was a Day on the green event and to a sellout crowd of 54 thousand , sold out in 5 hrs , as soon as I heard tickets were on sale I went to get them. 11.50 ea.
Robert Plant is such a great guy

argh shut the fuck up
GriefTourist hello from America..we do not know Plant personally...and this band is know Satanic and That Jimmy Page is was a follower of the Occult nut Alester Crawley....Rock music and especially the Band from England Def Leppard war satanic and front man Joe Elliott sounds similar to ACDC and Robert plant you can see the influence in the way he moves and the seductive voice ...it's all evil ...O became a Christian and started to learn about the dangers of Rock music..and the lyrics...and their life style... Robert Plant will ALWAYS be the golden GOD!!!!!!!!
The reporter is an absolute cutie!!!♥♥♥ and the way she giggled when Robert suggested putting over his knee, said everything!!!😀😀😀
Robert Plant will never stop singing, he enjoys it too much.
More swagger than Mick Jagger.
Julian Morgan you are sooooo right!......
Much.
And more musicality too! :)
Andy Mangele 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥hooooot
"What would we do without cheese?" We'd have nothing on the radio lol. Best line ever.
And sadly true
He hasn't lost his touch with women. They were both flirting with each other.
You know Robert banged the shit out of her after the cameras went off.
If he wants he can do it
onebigkahuna69 he can get away with anything just like back in the day and I live for it😂
I would sleep with him. Dont need to think 2x
He hit it after this was wrapped.
and they still are the greatest in the world
To this day you can not get anything better..nobody can touch them or there music.so blessed I got to see them on the green Oakland 1977 never forget it or stop listening to them still almost daily im 67 and alot of times il wake up at 5am and get the led out...The best that it gets seeing Jason play for his daddy makes me bawl
The best rock'n roll band ever
This band is everything our world was supposed to be.
Man she's Really, Really Good..Seems Plant was a Bit Smitten.. I'd put her over my Knee to Robert..
She's very sexy and quite gorgeous! And that fact was not lost on Robert!
Old comment but I have to say I think Robert toyed like that with every woman he met lol....He was a big flirt and he thoroughly enjoyed how he could make women weak in the knees with just a word lol...I think it amused him ;)
