This Georgia boy loves me some Drivin' N' Cryin'.....
Blackbeard said it all - or at least what this southern man was gonna say - God bless these boys from Marietta. Southern Pride boy - aint nothn like it.
This is the best music to drive around with your car..!!Get it on...!!
Saw DnC many times first time was at Georgia Southern in 88'. A kid across the hall went to high school with them and got us in for free. I was hooked forever. I have seen them many times since. Saw them in like 95' At Dover AFB they opened for Skynyrd. I have run into Kevin Kenny several times at the Windjammer in Isle of Palms here in SC. Kick Ass band that was born in the times of hair spray and spandex. To my knowledge they never wore any, thank you DnC for being true to the music.
Went to high school with Tim. Great band!
Southern born & raised. 1 of the Best damn underappreciated rock bands of the south & of North America! REM, Indigo Girls & Drivin & Cryin speak for the talent pool that emerged from north GA❤ I'll die a southern boy with D&C in my soul even though I no longer live there❤😊
Was at university of ga in late 80s and early 90s. REM , drivin and cryin and the Connells . Great times. Saw Jesus and Mary chain and nine inch nails at ga theatre as a freshman. What a show!
Went to college in the mid 90s in the Northeast but holy heck, Connells, REM, Drivin n Cryin, NIN, JaMC, etc... throw in some local boys called Dinosaur Jr and some Pixies and that was our years/stereos/inspirations for starting bands.
I imagine Kevn and the boys were a little warm in that field with long sleeves and jackets while everyone in the audience was in shorts and t-shirts. Nothing quite so hot as a summer afternoon in Ga.
It was spring
Yesssss!
I know I live in Alabama the humidity is fucking killer.
This song reminds me when i hitchhiked across the usa. Va. To California...wow... the people the stories.. different time now.. God Bless everyone here. Amen
South Carolina girl here, I love you guys and this beautiful song
Those dudes have amazing hair. I'm quite envious.
Gives me flashes of the beautiful hills, mountains and valleys that are the landscape near my hometown in Northern Alabama.
Always one of my favorite drivin and cryin songs. Great story telling southern rock. Takes me back what seems like so long ago. Kevin’s still rocking too!
Rest in peace, Buren. Thanks for the tunes.
@keymcgrip your harassing me! there's a statue of limitations I've in your grip for over 40 years! My name is Lewis Robert Burton Jr! I know your talking too! Your talking to me Judge!
@keymcgrip it's time the this Bullshit stops don't you think? money man! My name is Lewis Robert Burton Jr!
me 2 man north west GA blue ridge foothills born and raised in GOD's country.
Hell, I grew up on Drivin' N' Cryin' and grunge. Loved them both.
May be the only song about GA that makes me emotional.
Saw these guys in 92 where I met my wife of 17 years now in the beer line:) These guys ROCK! I think this has got to be one of their best songs!
96 Macon street parties and colesium events marked my soul in a way that shaped me and what I expect from concerts and festivals. In one year one city delivered Screaming Cheetah Wheelie's, D&C, Molly Hatchet, Kenny Wayne Shepard, BOA, Mountain, Iron Butterfly, and Foghat. Unfortunately I have never been influenced or satisfied by any music festival or venue in the same way since.
@@fishboy3179 seeing DNC and Screamin Cheetah Wheelies this summer at the Caverns festival. Should be one hell of a show!! Can’t fucking wait to see both live. SCW is the best band of all time and DNC hopefully will be at the top! DNC has already gained a new fan!
this song stirs the Mountaineer blood in me. I miss the Blue Ridge mountains every day
Honeysuckle Blue is a state of mind. SO THERE
heard this song first in 1996 just after coming to the usa, lived in atlanta for 9 years. 99x (hell yeah) played this song a lot then, and they still do. i live in texas now and listen to 99x.com daily. georgia is my promised land, and one day i will come home. y'all stay peachy !!!
ben, texas
Love these guys! Seen them last night in Chattanooga at The Revelry! Dalton Ga here!
I am curious as to how someone could justify giving a thumbs down to this song/video. There's a salient difference between human beings and human doings.
That goes to show ya that there are people out there that don't have a clue.
Cuz they ain’t been to the promise land! 👍🏼
This video and song are the first things I ever hear from these guys. I was hooked from then on. Got to see them twice in the '90s. Man.....
The bass player is Glenn Burns son in-law. Glenn was the weather man on Channel 2 for years. Glenn is also a hell of a fisherman. Had his own magazine for awhile. Loved that magazine!
Saw them 2 days ago.It is still a good show to catch!
Love this song ,the voice, beat, meaning, so emotional to me
This band brings back so many memories as I drove all over the state of Florida for work. It was a sad time for me and things weren't going well...... this band made me feel better, it was something I could enjoy and I did. Gezzz that was 1990 1994...... time flies when we're alive. (I'm doing much better now.)
ATHENS GA..back in day..just a good now,,love it
I saw Drivin N Cryin at The Music Farm in Charleston back in the late 1990's. This number and Fly Me Courageous were the highlights of a great set. These guys really could put on a show!!
Makes me remember better times ,growing up in the Smokey mountains. What I’d give to live thous days again .
I’m born and raised in North Metro Atlanta (born in 1973). Seen DNC many times. Their music is part of my DNA.
I live in the state of WA and I listen to them.
Solid albums and rock. Should have been bigger than they were
BEST ROCK VIDEO EVER MADE IN THE 90S. THIS ONE. 'I HAVE A DREAM AND I HAVE LOVE BUT IT NEVER LASTS FOR LONG."
Growing up in GA in the 80s this song was the one. I miss that era
I forgot how good these guys were...miss good blues rock like this!
Still holds up today.
Kevn played this, at my personal request, for my 27th birthday in Tuscaloosa Alabama. He visited with me and my friends in between sets and asked what we wanted to hear. Honeysuckle Blue and Scarred but Smarter is what I requested. He opened the next set with both!
I live near the blue ridge and love the smell of honey suckles! When I’m low and hear this song it picks me up every time.. and takes me down that road... I can so relate.. love it! ❤️ thank you southern blues breed.. 🤗
back in the day I seen them many times they knocked the ball out of the park great concerts
Just saw them do a show here in Charleston, SC. Pour House. Kevin singing as good as ever. great show
Straight to Hell and Honeysuckle Blue tied for my favs.
Growing up in Athens, Ga! Love this band, saw them live last year! 😊
+Chandler Tyson
Saw them in '92 myself, and I guarantee you had as much fun as I did then.
Chandler Tyson they used to play at west ga college all the time
at know what ya mean killer
Chandler Tyson athens right dogs rule
Athens is the best! I miss living there. I lived there in 96 when the Olympics were in Atlanta.
"D'Agostino's late last night. . . "
You know, there's an earnestness here, that's been lost, even just since the late 80s/90s. Does anyone make music like this anymore?
Henry Miller
Yeah, The Steel Woods, Blackberry Smoke and Whiskey Myers, just to name a few!
What a friggin album!
Well this song is just a superb piece of art. Hard for anyone to come close to doing something like this. But your right, not much this day and age that has such a moving vibe.
