On the Lufthansa guidelines it says the dogs need to be able to stand in the carrier. I think they mean with the heads sticking out of the carrier, because the UA-cam videos, and on yours, the dogs are taller than the height of the carrier... I have a cavalier and she is slightly taller than the carrier (45cm instead of 40cm - they say the carrier has to be 40cm tall). Do you think that could be an issue, if she can't stand inside the closer carrier? Thanks a lot in advance! :)

I´m thinking about buying one for my dog but more in the backpack situation. i have an 4 year old Havanese and im just very unsure. It´s also not primarly for traveling and all that but we do like do go out a lot and just explore city´s that are nearby and he just gets tired easily so i thought it would be a good idea. Cause when we travel we almost always go to the same place and we have to use a small boat you could say and a lot of people get uncomfortable (small children) so maybe also for that? some opinions would be nice, tank you :) (also englisch is not my first language so pls correct me if im wrong)

With the Large Sherpa, have you had any issues traveling on airlines? The dimensions seem just over what each of the airline specifications are. Also is the frame flexible to push down if necessary to fit under the airline seat? Thanks in advance :)
The Large Sherpa works fine, at least in my experience. The frame is flexible, so you can fit it under the seat in front of you. :)
My cav, Nugget, travels with me as my emotional support animal and we use the Sherpa soft carry bag. We would love either give away option! Nug is a 15 month Ruby Cav with a big personality. @nugget_the_cav is his Instagram! :)

I'd love to win one of the giveaways! My dog is a Cavalier and Cocker Spaniel mix and we love to travel and take car rides. One of her favorite adventures was in Vermont and she loves driving to different walking trails in Massachusetts! We love watching Herky and Milton together, and would love to win a prize given from them! ❤️
i bought a sleepypod due to this review, and if you have an anxious dog, i don’t recommend it. my dog panicked any time we put her in it, I think due to the poor visibility. the material on the netting is very strong and there is no visibility for the dog on either long side, just the ends and top. it’s also very hard for you to see the dog because it just looks dark. because of this, my dog started panicking (she is a rescue) and clawing at the sides trying to get out. she basically paced around in there trying to find an out. i ended up taking her out as soon as we were allowed to. we had put in her before, but she did better in it when we were on her level, like on the ground next to her or in a car seat. on a plane, the dog is stowed under the seat. i don’t really blame her for panicking. it also got really hot in there i think due to poor ventilation and ruby’s anxiety. we bought a sherpa for the flight home, but i’m hoping the pet store will take it back because it was expensive. 😬
Oh wow, so sorry to hear about your experience :( We really appreciate the feedback, and realize that all dogs are different and will most likely react differently to carriers. Milton does much better in carriers than Herky. Maybe it has to do with the fact that we tried when Milton was way younger than Herky? It might be the same for your Ruby also. Anyways, thanks for the input!

So, I was hoping to see what you do with your larger pup for travel.... You briefly mentioned that she fits OK in the Sherpa(?) so is that what she travels in all the time? And she is lighter than 25 lbs??

Italy is a great country to travel to with your dog! They are extremely dog friendly there :D We take ours everywhere: restaurants, cafes, shopping malls,.. you name it, we be together :D

Is there a carrier that you would typically use for Herky? We have two cavachons and the larger one is the same size/weight as Herky. He is also a bit pickier than our younger, lighter girl. I think she will be happy in anything while he may get a little more annoyed. We also typically fly Air Canada.
I love cavaliers so much and I've wanted one all my life. I live in an apartment but I've seen so many cavalier videos saying they can live in any habitat. I also live next to the beach, a dog park, a kids park and I have a larger backyard behind the building and 15 x 6m of grass out the front. Btw we will always be with him or her. So do you think we should get one???🐶🐶🐶

I am also moving from New York to California this winter. I talked to Sleepypod and as my pug is 20lbs he must have a harness not a carrier.This is probably better as the carrier is crash tested sealed and a dog may not like being sealed in for a long trip. I will take a Penskey truck so Q-Dog will have to ride in the front seat. Maybe I'll make a podcast episode about the trip. Thanks for the video.

And I have to say this (LOL), you have absolutely stunning hair and skin OMG! And your puppies - such beautiful coats! One thing I noticed when I flew with my two puppies who are no longer with me - these carriers get so hot under the seats. Hello, I’m addicted to your charnel. I’m in love with Milton and Herky. I have a cavalier just like Herky, but he is a boy, Charlie. Hi!! I am about to take my puppy on her first cross-country flight trip! She is a petty little blenheim and at her 6 month stage she is still very small. I have found a Sleepypod on sale that makes the cost a mute point. That said - have you had a better experience with the sherpa or the sleepypod now that you've had some time to travel with them? I love the look and sturdiness of the sleepypod!! But I wanted to ask just to make sure I'm doing my homework!

I love your Cavaliers! I have two Lhasa Apso girls and while they love to go for long walks, both have health issues and end up being carried back by me totted under each arm! They weigh 5.5 to 6.5 kg each so that's quite a bit of weight lifting for me... I'm looking at a sling bag style option where I could simply carry the empty sling on our way out and then tote them back in turns. Also need it to be easy on my back.
