I am happy with Series S as it's price is equal to mark up price of PS5 Digital. Playing XBox first until price of PS5 is returning to it's MSRP. My only concern is how to find an affordable storage expansion
@@magic.4234 I use my old SSD 480GB and 240GB for expansion, and I can move installed game from external to internal storage (while it is enough for 3-4 AAA games, depend on file size). I am a casual gamer, so copy-paste game from external to internal is not an issue for me as I only need to wait for couple of minutes.
A word of warning for those who choose to go the external storage drive route. A few years ago, I bought a Seagate 2tb external for my Xbox One X and it got bricked by a power flicker. I now have an $80 paperweight as a result. I would say that if you got that route, simply use it as a backup place to put games you aren't currently playing on it as a means to free up space.
Same thing happen to me with my green Seagate. Bought it brand new for 119. All of a sudden it was just gone, the light never turned back on when plugged in. I was like you're kidding me.
I just brought the 2tb external storage. Yes it's a lil annoying to constantly wait like 10 mins for each game to move however the SSD card price is absolutely ridiculous
Just got my series S and I love it. Got the seagate card and I’ll pick up a seagate game drive as well. The white is nice with the S and it looks nice with the S.
The best external harddrive option is to buy an nvme ssd and then an nvme to usb adapter. You'll get the fastest possible speeds via usb3.0 (which is the max the Xbox supports)
The price of an nvme ssd you’d be better buying a seagate expansion card so you could play all the optimised for series x/s games from it, otherwise your not getting much more over a standard ssd and your not getting anymore functionality over any other external hard drive yet your paying a lot more
yo dog i did that. except i paid nothing but the adapter $5 because i had a terabyte from a laptop that i had not using it. u can get em on ebay for 30$ for 2 terabytes.
USB 3.0 will not give you the fastest speed the Xbox supports not even with an Nvme. This is why you cannot run series X/S games from any kind of USB storage
I bought 2 Xbox series S for my boys and that memory card for $220. For that price I’m OK with they have more memory now than the series X. They each have a $200 TV. Which they would need the series X extra features because they won’t see them
It's incredibly infuriating that there's essentially only one external storage option for the Series S. Basically if we want more than five fucking games installed and ready to play, we have to shell out for basically a second Series S. And nobody thinks this is pathetic?
The series s is a budget gaming console centered around gamepass ultimate. You can stream most games, which in theory should leave you alot of space. I bot the 512 gb expansion and its been great, now have 18 more gb than my series x.
What sucks about the games is that the Xbox one I could play games on the hard drive, while the series s I have to have the games installed in the Xbox Itself. So basically having a hard drive is useless

There's also the 500gb internal ssd, I also plan on getting the memory stick for series consoles on top of that. The ssd's are for games I play alot and optimized for s/x games to transfer back and forth faster and hdd mainly to store games not play them.
So if I go with the middle one(external SSD), you mentioned copying them back and forth. Does that copy include the enhanced game since you mentioned you can't play them from the SSD itself? Want to get the middle one but don't want to miss out on enhanced gaming. Any info is greatly appreciated
Hey Gamerz World, what is your exact set up for expansion drives that you use? Could you leave the name of each and what you use each of them for please? I was also told in a shop that I can’t use the seagate expansion card to play older gen games only series s/x games, is this correct?

hi Gamerz World, Had a question about when transferring the newer games into the internal drive, so do you have to move a game (or games ) from your internal storage to make space into your external drive first then you can proceed to move the newer game (series s game) internal drive ?
I seen the Seagate 1tb all over for 100-150$ on marketplace or pawnshops. I'ma jus go with one of them I jus don't want to deal with slower speeds and transferring all the time that's jus me though
yea you just buy it and your good to go, EA play only has a 10 hour trial, fifa 21 is available on EA play right now, but the newest games dont go on there for a while
Just got completely ripped off having ordered a Seagate hdd for my series S. Didn't know about the lack of direct play. Yes perhaps I should have done my own research but it's the brand's responsibility to have these disclaimers highlighted before you make a purchase. No returns either. Smh. Wish I'd watched this video first
you didnt get ripped off. u cant play series enhanced games from the external. store games on the external, then whichever series enhanced game u wanna play, transfer that game to the xbox internal storage
I wouldn't call it ripped off, you can still play games on it, but the games that are Optimised for the Series S, you can only play them on the internal storage on the console; which really sucks. They literally make you spend another 200 dollars to expand your internal storage.
Great video 👏👏. The problem I seem to have is when I record a game clip it seems to fill up really quickly and I get a message stating that I’m running out of space ?? What do you suggest please ?
yea they are just the same if its just the game drive, comes in a few different colors, white version comes with a months game pass subscription though.
so the second one i thought you said I could play enhanced Xbox series s games. damm Microsoft you dropped the ball on this one. So basically any new xbox games that come out can't be played on a regular hard drive huh? only on the one that Xbox has
Only for console exclusives though and since the Series X and S are still relatively new there won't be many games that are only Series X and S so you'll still be able to enjoy most so called newer games just the Xbox One version. If its really that important to you to be able to play the new console exclusives when they do come out just clear some space on the internal drive.
Well there's a simple solution to this. Install all game that are not exclusive to external drive, and only install exclusives on the internal ssd. If you still don't have enough space then just play like 3 games at a time at most.. if u want to play a new one, simply calculate how much space you'll need and remove whatever game
So basically you have to download the optimised x or s game to the external drive but in order to run and play it you have to transfer the game back from the external drive to the system to play it?
Sir if I get this system And get an external hard drive the only way I can play the game is transfer the game from the external hard drive to the system and I have to do that to each and every game I want to play
I got the 2 tb Seagate for Xboxfor my Xbox series s it is automatically detected and it never let me format it so I can't store games just use for media can I fix this useless thing
So the green Xbox external hard drive works on Xbox series s ? Please reply for confirmation don't really want to spend £200 on the storage expansion card

I seen the Seagate 1tb all over for 100-150$ on marketplace or pawnshops. I'ma jus go with one of them I jus don't want to deal with slower speeds and transferring all the time that's jus me though
Im trying to get a 18tb hard drive but idk where to find one with that much storage
here you go, id go for something like this (affiliate link) -

US - amzn.to/3LQvvJb
Just buy the WD black internal nvme it's a lot cheaper then seagate
I have the series x but I still need more than just a terabyte 😢
Hi. How easy / quick is it to copy games from external hard drive to the console?
Yo! This video should help you - ua-cam.com/video/TLMm9v2S3a4/v-deo.html
Can I use my 2 terabyte external storage that is used for my Xbox one on the series S
Yea to store games and play not optimised games
Samsung SSD T7 is twice as fast as other products. This is perfect for the xbox s.
For the price of a Samsung SSD T7 you would be far better buying the Seagate expansion card so you can play all games from it
so you can only store new gen games on it but you just cant play them even if you switch them over?
Can't wait third party version 😌
yea you just buy it and your good to go, EA play only has a 10 hour trial, fifa 21 is available on EA play right now, but the newest games dont go on there for a while
I've just brought a Series S, i have a budget of £100 what storage device would you recommend best to buy ?
I heard that you have to transfer the games over to the original storage to play them because it won’t let you play on the external drive
so if i buy an HDD, I can store xbox one games on there and play them from the HDD and keep my series s games on the interns drive correct ?
Yea 🤘
I just watch a video of someone playing enhanced games off of a external drive
1st 1tb card or my wired 4th external. Which is faster?
if i get the green game drive by seagate will it be as fast as the white version?
yea they are just the same if its just the game drive, comes in a few different colors, white version comes with a months game pass subscription though.
I just bought a 4tb one for £100 and I got 2 months of game pass with it you get 2 codes 1 month each
amazing! Enjoy!
@@GamerzWRLD thanks for letting me know!
I got 2tb storage drive for $92
nice what kind of storage?
How do you use the external hard drive I have never used it before
follow the steps here - ua-cam.com/video/cCxjVQSrr14/v-deo.html
so the second one i thought you said I could play enhanced Xbox series s games. damm Microsoft you dropped the ball on this one.
@@raymundoo2879 or like buy an external hard drive and get the Xbox expansion card as well
@@nealgray2744 hmm sounds convincing 🤔🤔
@@jokertoker6920 I know right
Can you play the games that are on the drive or no?
Depends which drive you get , is it’s the expansion card you can play all games
the game drive sea-gate link you posted isn't the one shown on your video that you recommend, is that correct or am i missing something?
Have you got links for these limited edition halo 5tb external storages? Can't find them anywhere

Do either the 2 tb or the 4 tb game pass drive work with the series X? Please respond :)
yea both work, great for storage and playing non optimised games
If you can afford the series x, you might as well buy the seagate expansion card .. best option.
So if I get the seagate box storage I can’t play X/S games on it?
Only the storage cards can play all Xbox X/S games 🎮
Can you play Xbox series games on the expansion card because Ik on a usb u can’t
yea you can
So basically you have to download the optimised x or s game to the external drive but in order to run and play it you have to transfer the game back from the external drive to the system to play it?
Yea or but the seagate expansion card
@@GamerzWRLD do have to have enough space for it to transfer or does it not matter
@@drunkelmo8411 yea you have to have enough space on your internal drive to be able to transfer the game back from the external drive
Do you run into any issues using a external HDD while playing some games ?
No issues
ima buy the samsung ssd t7 2tb, ima update yall soon
Well backwards compatible games like gears of war play quick on the system and the external hard drive does it have to be 3.0
Hey dude, I know I’m late to the party but does the white external drive work for series x to?
it does, it will work with any xbox one and and xbox series console, and pc and even playstation actually!
@@GamerzWRLD wow! Thanks.
This should help - ua-cam.com/video/Ru2k9mJnnAs/v-deo.html
Bro no way I’m spending that much for 1tb
So the green Xbox external hard drive works on Xbox series s ? Please reply for confirmation don't really want to spend £200 on the storage expansion card
Yea I go over what it can and can’t do in the video tho so you know what to expect
It does
On the Xbox game drive can you put any game on there and play it off there?
I have a question. I have a external drive for my xbox one with games in it. If I get series x/s, if it saids it need to be reformatted, do I still have my previous games installed?
you shouldn't need to reformat it, just plug it in and play your games! Enjoy!
@@GamerzWRLD ok. Thanks for the info!
