me too, got it for 490 and a free silver mirror visor but shipping was 40 from canada so i have blk, clear and mirror for 530; great deal. hope i dont die if it is a weak helmet. carbon is stronger tho.

I like the Predator and and TSG - Pass Pro but they are way over my spending limit as of now so just went with with more budget friendly helmet from ILM but one day for sure will buy one of these for my GT1 great video as always
If you want something nice and high quality built this is the best option and TSG is next as second position option. Just the feel and the looks is so much better than TSG. Predator really stepped up the game and improved in all aspects. Best I tried so far as I previously posted.
Love it. I have the tsg pass matt black, so another black is redundant. Love the new strap system. Love the venting. Two curiosities, are there speaker pockets near the ears? Yup, i’m one of those riders who loves riding with music, occasional phone calls, and listening to gps instructions. Will another color be available, like a light grey, white? Great work. Yes $499 is expensive, like my bell motorcycle helmet.
Yet no NTA8776 homologation, sadly. I'm waiting for the Virgo ebike helmet by a French startup. Thanks for the review though!

would you say i can fit my glasses under the visor ? since you mention it feels like the visor its much closer to the face, i would not want my glases scratching the visor from inside
My close friend bought the same one and he is wearing glasses under and he is fine. The curve of the visor really makes it feel like it is on your face but it is curved and designed to feel comfortable and natural.

At the prices these helmets are charging, you can get a very nice motorcycle-grade helmet which have higher safety standards and better features. Predator and DSG helmets are just over-priced bicycle/skateboarding helmets.

Those are also way heavier and overkill if you’re not approaching motorcycle speeds.

Any recommendations on the visor? It seems that you love the mirror visor. But I've heard it's too dark at night. What do you think about the amber visor? I like the look of the amber, and it resembles the Icon Airflite Noctural, which is known as a very cool looking helmet.
500 dollars for a helmet? Or 400 for a second battery and 100 for a reasonably priced helmet? Hmmmm
I tried out this helmet and it’s easily the most comfortable helmet I’ve ever worn. Only 1.8 lbs which is half the weight of a regular motorcycle helmet. Not worth $500 imo but $300 would be a good price. Also, a modular version would be perfect for all the glasses wearing folks
If you get injured after cheaper helmet and battery will be useless and a waste!

If the helmet is for life and you ride enough… $500 it is.
If you want high quality and a luxury carbon fiber than it's worth all that price.

Meh, might as well get a real motorcycle helmet. They're tested to a higher standard, cost less and tbh, look better. The added weight is worth it in a crash.
No, it's not needed for what I use. A similar motorcycle helmet built with similar quality like this model will cost between 1k to 2k and I don't need the extra bulk and 3 to 5 lbs weight.

for the price of this helmet you can get lets say LS2 Advant X Carbon which is one of the best motorcycle helmets on the market mate ...
these helmets are designed for cycling, skateboarding and paragliding they will NOT handle anything more than that - where i live if cops caught you riding even low power moto scooter with helmet like this you would get fined for insufficient head protection, now realize that some e-sooters these days can go more than twice the speed of the commuter moto scooter...
and no these are NOT rated for 40 mph, by EU standard they are certified they are rated up to 25 KILOMETERS PER HOUR which is 15.5 mph ... less than HALF of what you claim here ...

These are not even certified, they protect as good as egg shell.

There's a video on UA-cam of a guy crashing his electric unicycle at high speed wearing this helmet, he hit his head and survived just fine. This helmet is probably a little better than you think.

@@Dutch800 They might be okay for cruising at 12mph, but if you crash at 30mph, your plans for the day could drastically change. They aren't designed for the speed of unicycle riders; one rider crashed at 30mph and suffered a head injury. Additionally, their high price is unjustified and frankly ridiculous. You could buy a whole scooter for the same price.
Look like shit protection my 50 Dollar amazon helmet is twice as beefy
it is not about thickness but quality, tech and parts used. There is a reason it only cost $50 :))
