Hot swap-able battery services seems like such a good concept that would only work in countries where companies are willing to set a standard and collaborate. I would love to see this concept in the US.
Based on the method of battery swapping in video, the batteries would most likely be stolen if it's in US. With lawlessness in US, a lot of nice things won't work even if implemented.
I can already tell that this concept soon will fail when people learn to build things around it. imagine you understand the concept and build a battery pack for you solar panel at home using these batteries? and now you are not just using it for travel instead you are charging your battery in the station and use it to power your house. when these thing happens, people will soon steal these batteries and that is when the concept start to Fail. coz the company will end up losing money from stolen batteries or battery swapped with broken one.

Hello, hi there! I am one of the first 50 global owners of a Gogoro. Welcome to Taiwan to experience this advanced and cool electric scooter and battery swapping system. For nearly nine years, I have ridden my Gogoro 1 all over Taiwan, checking in at battery swap stations, and have accumulated over 220,000 kilometers. I hope you have the opportunity to ride a Gogoro around Taiwan and complete a round-island journey.
@@pascalj4331 There are a few fellow riders who have surpassed my 220,000-kilometer mileage record, and they accumulated it in even less time. They are truly at a legendary level.

Great riding area, and mirrors are great on the switchbacks to see around the corners a bit for safety. Be sure to return to Taiwan there is far more to see around the island (really multiple islands, but even the main island)

This is a solid concept for both eco-friendly & economically viable mobility solutions. Should be implemented everywhere. The charging stations coul d be solar with a built-in controller to prevent overcharged batteries. This should further reduce energy consumption cost to nothing more than a small token (just to covering cost of station'sequipment & construction, property rental, etc) to the riders. The bike themselves should also have solar panels to power add on such as phone holders, Bluetooth headset, etc. Similar concept should be viable for electric cars, wheelchair too
Hey. Question, especially since you were just in Tel Aviv : Gogoro has deployed swap stations in Israel about a year ago, but I have not seen a single scooter on the road. Now, I see those stations being removed. Do you know what is happening with gogoro in IL?
Yes, in Tel Aviv, the swap stations were operated by the Paz gas station network. But after a year they pulled out so unfortunately there are only two swap stations in the city now (at Gogoro dealers). I see Gogoro scooters riding around all the time. I ride one and the other day me and another Gogoro were side by side at a red light.

There should be a way to add on a solar panel & rotary electric generator, on the 2 wheels, wired to a 2nd storage battery. Then on main battery low power level, there would be a computer chip to initiate/control the automatic transfer of the 2nd storage battery to the main battery. This way it'll be virtually self feeding continuous power for the electric bike. Moreover, the power from the solar panel & rotary generator can be used to power the headlamp or other small powered devices while on the move. To further save on cost, the battery charging stations should be solar powered. This way the riders would only need to pay a small token amount to offset the initial construction/running cost of the charging stations. Low cost solution suggestions.
