- "Group harassment" and "mobbing" are terms that are sometimes used interchangeably, but they can have nuanced differences in both connotation and application.
This video outlines the similarities and differences in both, looks at the motivations behind the behaviour such as 'group think', and personality types behind the behaviour, such as those with dark personality traits. It also looks at the 'narcissism of small differences', which is when members of the same group begin to turn against each other.
And lastly, looking at the impact mobbing and group harassment can have on those targeted.

The level of damage when this is in a workplace, friendship group, and church community is incalculable. Being targeted and having there be a long-term commitment to fixate on you (in almost a demonic way), where truth does not matter and people's beliefs are rooted in justifications to harm you....there's nothing like it. They bond in their hate and cruel actions towards you...truly evil. Sending hope for healing to everyone walking through this as well at any point in your life.
There's safety and sense of unity plus pleasure of dominance and power over someone vulnerable. The term schadenfreude is applicable. Same reason people enjoy violence in sports, movies and video games.This is the reality of human behavior and takes courage to deal with it.
I agree. It's hard to wrap your head around unless you've seen it or experienced it. I saw it happen to a friend and it was horrifying. A group of so-called friends (who were adults even) ganged up on their target and spread lies about the person online and went as far to spread enough horrible stuff that the person lost their job contract because the employer didn't like the optics of what the liars were saying. It was really sad and none of those lying POS people were held accountable for their lies and getting others to pile on. The sad thing is it's so much worse because they used the internet and social media so it was everywhere. I still don't know why those nasty people did it, but I guess it was jeleousy that the person was becoming very successful online and the mob instigators were not. It was definitely a mob of virtuous victims though, even though all the stuff they said were lies.

So this is basically refuting L. Sheridan's fake study abusing position and authority to convey the lie that organized stalking and harassment "doesn't exist," therefore those complaining about the long term psychosococial torture therefore by edict "must" be bat sh*t crazy? If so, where's the necessary class action lawsuit against the biggest industrial enablers of this crime?
I have a neighbor about 10 years younger than me wanted me to join her book group but when I couldn't cuz I was under too much stress at the at the time. So, for about 12 years now has tried to gang people up against me. Also mocking me whenever she has the opportunity. If I start a walking regime about a month into the walking she will apparently get jealous enough that she tries a" number" on me,
I may have put a stop to it . Pointing her bullying out.
She having a new neighbor couple report to her in order to bully more. I live alone in my own home and they are couples. They don't bully the men that live alone. I rely on prayer to get me through.
She is most likely a narc. Or Bpd ,That doesn't like rejection.

In different environments or venues, the level of stress is directly proportional to the ability to escape. If there is a force leveraged, such as the economic need for resources, this makes the pressure worse, and decreases the ability to escape. The extremes of this phenomenon are found in human trafficking, as well as current forms of nonconsenual human experimentation, which, if you aren't aware, are the true cause of the mass shooting phenomenon which began approximately 30 years ago, long after the invention of high powered rifles. No one asks why the law passed in the 1930's, I believe was repealed. This was the law which circumvented the sticky issue of the 2nd amendment by creating a special gun tax for machine guns. Also, no one seems alarmed by the bypassing of Posse Comitatus, the law which was passed, now ignored, with the intent on preventing the very police state certain unaccountable forces are shoving down our throats, calling it "freedom" "1984"-style.
Indeed it does. Narcissistic abuse is inherently disempowering. Society has a strong streak of antagonising the disempowered. The mechanics are very simple: the disempowered cannot as readily defend themselves.
Once scapegoated, it takes three times the energy to escape it.

Being subjected to mobbing and group harassment causes incalculable damage in all aspects of the victim’s life. Thank you for your support and validation Darren. Anyone engaging in this kind of evil doing to others is voluntarily creating pain, misery and suffering and is participating in evil spreading and should be avoided.
For sure especially if a quiet and timid person yet still a repulsive fighter.

I’ve experienced this for several years. It’s been detrimental, yet eventually and finally empowering. So very sad for those acting like childish bullies, though. Their level of consciousness is so low that they either have no clue or just don’t care, that they are slowing down or preventing their own evolution. In the end, they’re really only hurting themselves. I mean, you really have to kinda feel sorry for them.
Thank you for your insights and calling it what it is. Lived through being scapegoated all my life, academicly and professionally, and spent a lifetime trying to understand it. A lot of time it's jealousy and people trying to get to the top. It serves to get rid of anyone more educated, willing to work harder, or a contender for the position they want. But it's a self righteous way of making use of their own dark triad charachteristics.

@@laurakhaydon Thank you. I think it's pretty common in all kinds of groups and systems. I think the more we become aware of it, the more skills we develop not to fall into the trap. But some people may always be targeted more than others and it can be difficult to protect oneself against it without compromising who you are, especially if you are a naturally caring person. I've found that the peacemaker who gets in the middle is often the next target, or becomes excluded. At work, befriending the scapegoat can set you up for a big fall from acceptance. Sometimes it may be necessary to even cut people off, even family, if they care more about their own processes than about you, and refuse to see you for who you are and how much you've given them.
Yes I'm really sensitive to this topic . By now I am so used to this that it's sometimes humorous. Zero family . I just had to live through the whole system by myself . I thought my boyfriend then husband then x x was behind me but that wasn't true or looking out for me not true. He was sabotaging, teaching my kids. My mom tried to disfigure me as a baby to make my dad not like me. My sister went along with it . But my ability to Black them out was really to my benefit. God has really been by my side.
But the same thing plays out in most areas of my life. I'm really sensitive to not disrupting a female.
Bullying at school is horrible, but bullying in the workplace is super horrible. Managers and team leaders should be educated intensively about narcissism, harassment and healthy/safety in the workplace. We must not start learning or working unless we make sure that adequate regulations and policies protect students or employees from narcissist and bullies.
Sometimes it’s the managers behind it, it’s called the pecking order to control their workers by the golden child workers so too speak

To experience is unconscionable and surreal. It's so strange that there are so many horrifying people. Why? Why stuck on this planet with all these horrifying creatures?
Is it possible to do anything effective when meeting this kind of thing?
Personally I think if it’s happening to you, you are already way off track and deep into the jungle.
So my advice is run to therapy and just get as far away from the whole group as you possibly can. Learn to see the signs earlier.
IMO you will be targeted for one main reason - you don’t look like you will fight back. You don’t look like you have power, position or allies.
This also happens with siblings. When I’m being attacked there they all are, physically, mentally, verbally and mentally. The deflection is insane.

Taken to the highest level we have wars and social clashes. I'm talking about politics and economics often disguise in terms of race, religion or ideology.
I'm on the autism spectrum and this has happened to me twice, leading to me leaving jobs. You have to nip it in the bud. By the time I made a formal complaint I already was viewed as sub human, thus not worthy of protection. I had lost 40 pounds and was barely able to sleep.

Every time I try and speak out, I'm framed for a mental illness like everyone else whos in my situation. Fire fighters and ambulance turn on their sirens when they drive by me and turn them off down the streets and cops are always every where I go, and there's always a small plane flying across me, I have proof of all of this but now my phone turned off out of no where.
I don't know what I did to deserve this, I'm a 21 year old woman who loves to sing and be with friends but my community has isolated me, ALL of my friends have boyfriends who don't wanna meet me and stops my friends from talking to me and so now I have no one,

Extensive mobbing and group harassment has been my life in NZ for years. It's utterly disgusting how many people are willing to do dirty work for politics and religion.
Now with directed energy weapons they don't have to keep sending their people around to destroy my home.
I used to work in the business of helping people.. I guess now they don't want help and they don't want anyone trying to get help when they need it.
My guess is that they want to reserve for their own kind all credit for the good work you do. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that everyone's like them.
I think the religious groups are very bad with this. They seem to think that God has given them that instruction to harrass one person for years.
So they must go on with their evil harrassing because God himself told them that!!!!!!

It would be almost ridiculous if it wasn't so terribly damaging and it actually sometimes is beyond the law, it is for example criminal to make someone look bad by spreading rumours and so online. It really is a crime!!!
Stalking is a crime as well!!!
Also all those burglaries that happened in my house numerous times are of course criminal acts.
Those people go beyond the laws with their evil actions.

@@hugmc Now that you mention it, my mafioso uncle was big into AA. It's just another network of broken people for them to control. He tried to get me to join but I wasn't religious. He told me "some people think of your aunt as a higher power." The thing is, the more clues they deliberately gave me, the more I just thought they were out of their minds.
It's unprecedented at this moment in time that those of who've been targeted are now off the hook and left alone

False lies and rumors have been spread about me and who i am, my family is involved and high authorized people are involved, I tired to go to cops of Harris county but was ignored and a sheriff was even at my mothers house for a
"talk" and my mom also got me falsely locked in a behavior hospital from FALSE claims, mom even knew who i was working with and that eventually lead to me being fired, and now i live in an RV.
Random people tired starting fights with me, I was ran over by 2 cars on bike and I'm only riding a bike because my car was hit from behind and blamed on me so I called the police department and after telling him, "I would tell no one," he said officer Gomez was wrong and that I wasn't at fault, I try catching metro but they pass me up and laugh at me, so now I walk an hour and sometimes 3 hours to places I have to go and my family ignores me when I ask for a ride or wait until I'm late to take me to work

We have been stalked since 2001. That's a long time to sift through the info that's out there now. It started with styrofoam cups upside down in the middle of our front yard and porch soon after 9/11, to the full-blown operation they have unleashed through today in 2023. As I'm typing this a small airplane just went over our roof and way too low by any standards. This is everyday all the time. And, no we don't live near an airport - just a normal suburb in America. My dad flew 32 missions over Germany in a B-24 and brought the crew back alive from every flight. I love our country, but I don't trust our government at all; which of course makes me a Target. I'm convinced I was supposed to commit suicide by now, so they are mad as hell. I came right out and asked a person who told me he worked "in the mountain (NORAD) in the satellite division" (Colorado Springs, CO) if "they" could see us sitting in his living room as we were talking one day - he said, without any hesitation, "yes, if they want to, they can." That was 17 years ago, folks. This whole game is orchestrated by military/government satellites. Forget about implanted chips and all of that; they can see right through buildings from space and from aircraft. They can stick a laser beam on anyone and it can be tracked through walls. So, we have a situation where in real time, 24/7/365, they can see us, listen to us, and see exactly what we are viewing on the internet or streaming TV. They own every moment of our lives by using their tech toys. I have faked going to the front door and reaching for the knob as if I was leaving and had a helicopter fly over the house right at that moment so many times I've lost count. It's fun to play with them that way. Look up SAR and also search "through-wall surveillance." This is all done with different types of RADAR. They are using wi-fi in our homes and neighborhoods to see us like fish in a fish bowl (5G now). We live in an electromagnetic soup that enables them to see our toes move at night. If you think searching for "gangstalking" info is a rabbit hole, try "through-the-wall surveillance" and see what you have been missing. Every city has a mesh system allowing cops and first responders to see through buildings from a satellite feed, in the name of "safety". I suppose the ones they allow to do this are ex-military and have active clearance (Top Secret, TTS, etc.) - not hard to find in the government sector. Cisco has the technology which has been purchased and deployed worldwide for decades. My high school friend in another state ended up dying from 2 seizures in the back of a cop car after being stalked to the point that he lost it. He was trying to tell anyone who would listen that they could see him through the walls of his home from the small airplanes that kept coming down over his roof. He was a family law attorney and who knows who he crossed. Nobody believed him and he ended up dead, leaving his wife and two sons behind. Don't let them do it to YOU! I started writing a book and decided that it's mostly all been said before, at this point. Watch for my new website where I will focus on the answers to "how do the always know everything about me?" It's actually very simple. BTW, those sirens are rarely a coincidence; it's an extension of their sickness and orchestrated from their offices downtown. The satellite people speak directly with law enforcement on the ground and in the air, and they communicate with the neighborhoods and handlers real time according to what they see through your walls. Don't react at all - it only feeds their addiction.
