Jeff Buckley was classmates in music school with Jimmy Herring & Paul Gilbert (many more legends too). Jimmy was Jeff's best friend. And that's a crazy thing to think about - since they are both monsters in their own respective skills, but in the end they are/were both gentle souls. We were in ear training class together and quickly realized that we had to get together. He would come over to my little apartment and even though he had his own place he stayed at our place more than he went home.
