I'd definitely be interested in this if it had 1) stereo in/out 2) an fx loop for delay/reverb/etc instead of it all being in front of the amp 3) midi capabilities for easy integration with midi switching systems Other than that, this is a great concept and I hope you continue to take it further, you're on to something for sure!
Thanks! You can usually run about 5 effects at once on Stratus, but this is dynamic as each effect instance uses a different amount of CPU. This is listed in the description for each effect. And yes, we actually just added MIDI preset-switching support via USB! Now you can store all of your presets directly onto Stratus and call them up using PC # messages. 🙂
Thanks, Doug! Do you want to see more video's like this one where we break down each individual feature? Ex: How to use looper, how to use live mode, how to save a preset
@@taboolexicon a little late to the party, but just wanted to share that MIDI preset-switching via USB is officially here and rolled out to everyone with a Stratus! 🤘
USB ports are not designed for any kind of physical abuse. One misstep can permanently mangle a jack. A device intended for road life must have its USB ports sufficiently protected from extraneous forces. This is done by a) recessing the port into the underside of the chasis so that the opening perpendicual to the bottom plate and b) forming a groove in the bottom plate to act as a strain relief and cable guide. You can see this idea implemented on several consumer products. The Durgod Taurus K320 keyboard, for example, could serve as inspiration. Check out its underside.
And if you are going to put the USB port in a dangerous spot, like flush to the back panel, then please make sure it's not on the main PCB but on a subassembly that can be easily replaced without soldering.
Yes, Stratus comes with a built-in looper capable of up to 5 minutes of recording! It's also compatible with any guitar amp, including the Boss Katana 50 Mk2. 😁
Thanks for checking out Stratus! We're always working on improvements and new products, so you may see something like this very soon 😉🙂 really appreciate it, and let us know if you have any other suggestions!
When putting internal effects together in a chain. Can you be auditioning them as you go, meaning say you want 4 effects in a chain, can you hear them together and be adjusting them as you add each one together from same screen? Meaning. Can you see all the effects you are trying to make a chain with on same screen? And once you make a chain and save it, can the effects in the chain be tweaked and re-saved. Also, are there amp, speaker, & mic IR’s in the pedal?
Hey! Yes, you can chain multiple effects together on the same screen (in any order you like) and tweak them all running simultaneously. Once you save a preset of an effects chain you like, you can load that preset, tweak the settings again, and then either save it as the same preset or as a new preset! Stratus now has 2 new amp + speaker simulation plugins trained using AI, and we're releasing even more soon. You really can make an entire rig with Stratus!

I second that list as well.
We’re slowly adding features from your list… Stratus now supports MIDI preset-switching via USB!
with all those I/O it will probably not be that small anymore
It's a pedalboard in a pedal. The power, portability and user experience are amazing. It's a really fun to work with.
Thanks Ted! We hope Stratus has been rocking your gigs recently!
Nice video and a cool unit for sure! ❤
Great concept. How many effects can you run at once? Also, is there any MIDI integration?

This is very useful

Wow! very informative
Now you know everything you need to know about Stratus!
I hope you make a version with stereo out.
This would be a great addition to my board if I could switch presets via midi.
We’re excited to announce that MIDI over USB is coming very soon! Preset-switching is about to become a whole lot easier 😎
Sick. Can't wait!

A Stratus XL with stereo ins and outs, fx loop, midi, and multi channel looper would compel me to buy one.
We like the way you think! 🤩
In the meantime, we are excited to announce that MIDI over USB is coming to Stratus very soon 👀
Hi there, is there a looper with this pedal? And is it compatible with the Boss Katana 50 Mk2? Really interested in this product!

Looks awesome. Would love to see a thin “bar-like” wireless foot controller to use in stomp box mode. Maybe even something akin to a laser keyboard.

IM IN THE FUTURE!!! IM ORDERING IDC!!!!
The future is now!!! 😎 Please let me know if you have any questions about anything! Always happy to help! 😄
It would be interesting if I could control this pedal using MIDI CC - thereby automating effects activation / changes from my sequencer...
You can! Stratus supports MIDI commands via USB-C and you can toggle effects on/off with CC messages
Wow!!
My takeaway from this video... I need to learn a new pedal dance.
Its better to learn your tone by a guitar and amp and nothing more! The basics first!
Garage band already has all this and it's a lot easier to use.
These tones on GarageBand? I have Logic & haven’t heard such good tones!
