Some art programs were added in the stock install, along with the wallpapers and start page you saw. Otherwise, that was pretty much your standard Ubuntu 10.04 experience!
There are a couple weird distros for sure, lol. My advice is that if you want to switch to Linux, stay away from "gimmick distros" (like those in the video, Hanna Montana OS, UwUntu, etc.) as they quickly get out of date and go into the mainstream one (I'd use openSuSE Tumbleweed, btw.) - art programs will be in the repo anyway, just few quick clicks away and all the skin customizations you can download easily, especially if you go with KDE instead of XFCE/GNOME/Cinnamon.
In Wubuntu: That airplane on the taskbar means 'airplane mode'. This means that all connections that emit radiation are disabled for use in an aircraft. Wired internet is still possible. So you have to turn off Airplane mode ;)

I made the screensaver. We discontinued the project because the main IRC guy thought it was silly and the rest of the group anted him to like them... He suggested that all we were doing was reskinning something, and that nobody needed a specialized "furry" linux because "furries" need their pc to do all the same exact suff normal people do." All it was was a furry themed rice out. And he was completely right. Of course because i don't want to make an IRC fur mad. Nobody does. (I have no interest in working with furries again on anything)
When you get recommended this because you watch tech videos exactly like this, and they just happen to be a furry. I've found probably 5 channels this way. I say probably because I don't know if some people like CRD are a furry.

I used the MATE Gui and I had it dual booting alongside Windows XP Home on my 2005 Compaq Presario. For the longest time my wallpaper was a female fursona of Firefox and had it all themed out. I used my '98 Compaq Presario 5280 to experiment and test drive different distros out. Peppermint One, Knoppix, Damn Small Linux being 2 of them. Just soldered some new capacitors on a 2002 Compaq Evo D510 SFF and upgraded the cpu. After I update the BIOS I think I'm going to put that old Mint back on there :3 Also Xubuntu features a rodent soooooo.

standard Ubuntu 10.04 did ship with "tomboy notes" that wasn't just something for some awesome queer version etc hehe. I used this back in the day - I remember complaining they "ruined" ubuntu - for me the all time greatest was 7.04 but the update to like 7.10 had so many cool graphics features - it was actually ahead of Mac OS at the time - but it'd like crash your machine and make rollbacks impossible hehe - after that not keeping Gnome 2 thing and breaking updates I eventually switched to Debian THe coolest thing about 7.04 was the sound effects in combination with like the jurrassic dinosaur skin like background - I remember many a time on private torrent trackers exploring SCIENCE and DOCUMENTARIES

long ago, i used to run "DamSmallLinux" (a knoppix) on a pentium 333 that also ran win98, and DOS, and (Via the "fusion" emulator) Mac OS8. all on the same partition.
4:31 why is this scarry you have set your time in the bios so this os assumes your are in this timezone based on your timestamp in the bios also your wifi card scans the surroundings for matching frequency pattern from your router. this is done while the wifi card is initiated to make your connecting process faster, but it tells also in wich county your live and the os reads this too^^
