No it’s not, we left LA in July last year and we bought a house in Bakersfield. We lived paycheck to paycheck in South Central, now we have a home with a pool in a great area within 6 months.

I was born and raised in SoCal, Fullerton to La Brea. Left to Austin Texas in 2014, bought my home shortly after for $290k 2800 sq ft and now it’s doubled. Plus gas is $2.90 for 87, todays date is 04.18.2024. Gas buddy shows the same 87 in Fullerton for $5.65. Do I miss Cali? Months and days and I miss cali but I’m happy in Texas. All about qualify of life, you want a small shack or a mansion?

LA is a horrible place to live. Been here for 10 years. Lived and grew up in a small town. I had to get away. I miss being back in a small town. No homeless or crime like the city. And its a better place to live. LA is just too stressful.

It's easy to bring down the quality of life when there is no law enforcement or prosecutions, when druggies are allowed nay even encouraged to piss and shit and leave toxic waste biohazards in the streets, retail theft and organized mob style crime is higher than in any other point in our history, working wages are stagnant and even the $20 minimum wage at fast food places is still too low to live on. MINIMUM WAGE is the MINIMUM REQUIRED WAGE TO SUSTAIN LIFE IN THAT REGION. Rent is so high that I'm surprised landlords would rather wait YEARS to rent to someone at $4000 per month for an apartment, not making a single penny till then rather than rent it out for HALF that and make money all that time. If that doesn't show you the greed, the hate, the complete collapse of American society and the lowest quality of life of the majority of the population since the Civil War then you're clearly the problem.
That's why the landlords of All types desever to lose all they have.
