    This community isn't really a secret, but often gets overlooked...would you want to live in the Boise Foothills?

    Do these homes have basements?

      Actually some of the homes in Avimor do have walkout basements if they are built more on the hillside.

    Hi Summer, Thanks for the great videos! Very informative. I was wondering if you had any info on schools that do a good job with kiddos that have ADHD? Private or public would be fine.

      Thank you for watching! I am glad you find them helpful. I do actually have videos about the school options here. They were the first videos I made, so they are not the best video or sound quality.You can find them if you go to my "videos" tab on my UA-cam channel and scroll back to the ones I made in 2019 I think. I will be making updates to those videos in a couple of months, so watch for that. The public school systems for West Ada School district (Meridian/Eagle) and Boise School District, Nampa, Middleton, and Vallivue (Nampa and Caldwell areas) all offer a variety of services depending on your child's IEP. Some schools, if they get title one funding, will provide a 1 on 1 aide if your child's IEP determines it is needed. Within the public school systems here, there are also charter and magnet schools that have differing options as well. Some parents find that a charter school might provide a better option for smaller school size and more organization, and more freedom in teaching methods that work well for their ADHD children. But charter schools do not get as much funding, so sometimes they do not offer as many services. For example, there is a Montessori style free charter school in Boise that teaches in a variety of hands-on ways that keeps busy minds occupied with activities as opposed to worksheets. Some charter schools are STEM focused and are more project based. You would need to contact each individual private school/charter to see what they offer, what their methods are, and how it could be beneficial for your child. There is a newer project based private school in Eagle called Innovate Academy I have heard good things about, but you'd have to call them to ask about your specific concerns. The good news is that Idaho has so much choice in schools and education. I have had my kids at the charter schools, public schools, homeschool, and dual enrollment, which is a homeschool/public school combo. And it is VERY common here for parents to choose what is best for their child, so it's not like your child would be the only one in the neighborhood not attending the local public school should you find an option that works better for them. I would also suggest calling the school district offices and asking them your questions. And if you can find a Boise area Moms of ADHD Kids Facebook group to join, that would be a wealth of info directly from moms living here and figuring things out for their kids.

    Judging by the location of Avimor; it’s an upscale community for wealthy professionals; and wealthy semi retired people; and wealthy retirees!

      Avimor is actually more affordable than the other areas close by like Eagle, Dry Creek Ranch, or Cartwright Ranch. It's really for people who want an active, outdoor lifestyle, and if offers homes in a wide variety of sized and price ranges, so people from all stages of life live there.

    Are all the houses hooked up to the city’s sewerage system; and garbage disposal services; and the city’s utilities?

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, they all have city services, no need for wells or septic, except possibly the custom homes on the 3 acre lots may need a well and septic, but they would have city garbage service and city electric too.

    Anything for lower income seniors? My kids live in Eagle.

      I am not aware of any homes to buy specifically for low income seniors, but there are several different apartments complexes around the valley for low income seniors. There are two buildings in Eagle. We looked into it a few years ago for a family member and the pricing at that time was very good if you qualify, but the waiting list was a few years long.

    Love the community but until they figure out if its part of Eagle's city plan (Eagle does NOT want Avimor) - leaves issues like longer emergency service times and more tax problems.
