- This Kawasaki Vulcan 650S came to the shop for a dyno tune and ECU flash, and shows nice gains on the dyno. What do you think of the Dan Moto Exhaust on the bike? The customer stated he picked it up for $100!!!

About 140 miles per tank is what I used to get on my 2015 Vulcan S. I used to commute to work 60 miles, then come back, riding on freeway, regular streets, etc., and still had about 20 miles or so left on it. I live in Cali so the bike was stock. I no longer have it, but it was so fun to ride and leave a lot "bigger" bikes in the dust
This man got It down packed with theses bikes all the information and knowledge behind it is crazy
The bike rides great and very smooth power band throughout now! I know it's only 61hp but man that bike is fun. It's the same engine in the ninja 650. It's a very fun bike with leg room! Thanks guys for the time and efforts!
how much did the ECU flash cost?
Go to the website
Vulcan S is 61hp stock, so I'm very confused where the gain was ?
@@Reubenn1 that's to the crank... meaning in the engine. Thats not HP at wheel. You lose power from the engine to the wheel via the drive train. Now it's really 61 at the wheel.
@@Reubenn1 61hp at the crank. These numbers are at the tire. You typically see a 10% loss through the drivetrain
Very cool to see a cruiser getting done
Missed the finished fuel to air map at the end? I love seeing how smooth you get that line. nice video.
I enjoy my Kawasaki vulcan s650.
I am extremely happy with it!
So I coincidentally have the same exact exhaust and booster plug setup on my 2017, I never noticed much of a performance difference between the two but it did eliminate my excessive back firing and smoothed the throttle control by SO MUCH, must more pleasant to drive in traffic stop and go. Typically get around 180miles to the tank, looks like I'll have to look into a custom ecu flash!
That was Kool, something new for Professor Moore and Magic Mike to study. Kool looking bike
One of the guys on our team has got one of these bikes. He loves it. He's been an 8.10 on it I believe.
Yeah. In a 1/8 mile🤣.
@@magna116 well yeah. 🤷🏻♂️
Did anyone think that it was in the 1/4?
am more than happy with my 2018 Vulcan with the booster plug. It does what is required - didn't need more power (useless in the clogged traffic city I live in) but it made the bike so much more tractable in lower gears at lower speeds (like crawling through traffic). Now the bike doesn't feel like it has a clogged injector and a sound like a WRX...... having said that - if there was a decent remapper in this country - I'd have gone that path. Mailing my ECU from the Philippines to USA and back - I'd have no bike for 6 months lol
Did you have 0-100 boost with it ?
I would like to see more videos from this bike after the ecu flash.
Mafia team Green team support right ✅ here. So I brought all these thumbs ups 👍🏻 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💯mo powa🤘
How fast will it run now that you undid the speed limiter? I'm looking into buying one of these bikes I've never had a street bike. But I'm 33 I mean I throw dirt bikes growing up. I need something big enough to be able to do a 90 mph on the turnpike for 50 miles one way too. Plus curious on how much faster these te capable of.
Does a ecu flash also remove the engine light warning due to o2 sensor warnings?
Would love to see what you could do with my raider 113ci!
Sending my ecu out to you tomorrow !!! Can't wait it's a 2010 zx10r with 2k miles, people say on the gen3s there not really restricted but but I know your man and you will get me some gains!!!!!!! I need them gains 😆. Been a fan for a long time can't wait to ride this beast when ur done with ur magic!!!!!!
Got my ecu back bike is a complete MONSTER NOW!!!
@@willonazxten4892 How long did it take?
@@senorgato1446 about 10days
@@willonazxten4892 Complete monster? The cam hasn't changed and the displacement hasn't changed so it seems you get excited easily over the smallest bit of horsepower gain & try to make it sound like something it isn't 😆
I'd love to see you guys dyno tune some atv's.
First we make an engine perfectly capable of producing nice smooth power.
Then we add on a boat load of crap restrictions, partial throttle issues, limited ignition timing, per-gear holding back, on/off throttle choppiness, boat-anchor weight muffler so quiet it sounds like a lawnmower running behind a stack of pillows, and sell this choked up thing to the public at a cost that covers the reduction of performance.
Then then public has to figure out how to rip all that nonsense off the engine and return the engine to perfectly capable of producing full and smooth power condition again.
All we want is a great bike from factory. And filthy bureaucrats don't believe in fun-having.
we have to thank Germany for making all the stupid emission controls and Euro5 laws. you can take an older bike lets say a gixxer k6 which was still a Euro3 emissions and it made like 170hp. so imagine how much more powerful the todays engines would be if the emissions and laws were not a thing.
Kawasaki Honda etc do a fantastic job on there bikes over all on there bikes in stock form considering the regulations emissions they have to deal with
But agreed it can be hassle to undo the newer bikes to let them breathe properly 😉
Rip off all the expensive catalysts, all the R&D testing, all the evap equipment, the O2 sensors, the ECU programming and guess how much the cost of a new bike would come down?
And you pay for all of that, then pay more to undo that.
So basically factor in about 4 to 5 thousand dollars to take a perfectly working bike, choke it down, then un-choke it back to perfectly working condition. Who gets the 4 or 5 thousand dollars for motorcycles who's owners choose to make them run to full original designed potential? And what does that paid money do for the future of these machines?
@@exothermal.sprocket you miss the point. its not about "worth it" its about "why not" the performance is there. its just restricted. IF you are willing to pay 500 to unlock the ecu its up to you. and its nowhere near the 5k you are mentioning dude. the whole bike out of the showroom floor costs 7k
@@TheRealBhuado You're making a judgement mistake. You said I'm missing the point. Seems I made the point (set the context) in the first place at the top of this thread.
Secondly, nowhere have I mentioned what bike model I'm referring to or how extensive the derestriction is. You've assumed I'm only talking about an ECU flash. Would have been better for you to ask me what I meant and let me explain than to tell me I'm unsure of my own mind.
I have a 2017 with a booster plug and get 180 to 200 miles per tank.
nice of you to show love to the non sport bike crowd . 61whp 😆
As seen on Bikes and Beards those Vulcans can surprise the hell out of big Harleys
Jeff H Please explain. "My Harley was quite surprised to the point hell left it" said no Harley ever.
Whatever bike Craig is on always loses. Not the most scientific comparison.
If someone wanted to bring a bike to your location, where would that be? What's your cost to upgrade/program the ecu?
I really like this 2022 HAYABUSA And the contest of the your UA-cam channel is very nice the content wont get any other UA-cam channels i am really a greate lover of the 2022 hayabusha it is my bream bike......
Nice Videos you Dyno Have Brake System?
I have 2017 Kawasaki Vulcan 650 s ., question do I really need the booster plug ?
do you have the flash for a 2008 VN1600 Nomad??.. also a 2015 KVSR 650 s.. what is your pricing on this service??
How fast does it go without speed limiter? Did you actually do test eith ecu flash? I didnt see?
Huge gains
I have a CS Racing exhaust (with headers). Do you have a specific map for me? Or at least something close enough? My throttle open response feels like a snail.
Does thhis make so much fuel consumption and what about 0-100 ?
Nice bike wish they made more than 60hp
Need to do a Rebel 1100 tune 👍🏻
gen3 hayabusa ecu flash When ?
How much did this cost? 1.5 more hp than stock doesn't seem like a huge gain to me
Great video
so i can like chip tune my vulcan ?
jesus it sounds amazing!
More Cruisers please
Thanks for this video, the Vulcan S is a bike I’m interested in. I was also considering a Booster Plug for my 2009 Vstar 1300 but will do something else now. The main question I wanted to ask was about the idea that all bikes newer than 2020 are required to monitor their ECU and if it detects any modifications from the factory settings you get a warning light on the clocks and will cause the engine to run rough, thereby making it impossible to flash the ECU of 2021 bikes or newer. I just bought a 2023 Kawsaki Z900 ABS this summer.
Im making device similarly to booster plug, but for 80usd world Wide delivery, not 170 which is ridicolous expensive, if You interesting let me know
Boy that exhaust sounds bad. Props for the oddball bike though.
stock this bike comes with 61 hp and 46.5 lbs of torque . Therefore, what was the benefit of the tune?
I agree with the plug 58 hp. Without the plug 60 hp. tune 61 hp.all that for 1 hp
I have a 2022 have you don any
Hope to see a flash for a FZ1 Gen 2 soon
🤘🏻🤘🏻
there is already a tune for those. Ivan does them. if you just look up ivan fz1 you will find it and he is active still. Best tune you can buy for that bike
good video
I had a 2015 Vulcan S 650 when you remove that dummy plug you gain more power.😄
Thought about buying a Vulcan... for a few seconds... then came to my senses and bought another GSXR. Sent in my 2016 GSXR600's ECU to Moore Mafia for a flash, Thanks Chris & crew!
that's a 2019. The Covert green paint was available on the 2019 model, not 2020
What's your price and contact information? I have the same bike.
ECU flashes...not just for sport bikes!!
What does somthing like this cost?
Way more than it should. 54 HP + 46 TQ (Stock) to 61 HP + 45 TQ (Flashed). Look at the Two Brothers specs to see similar changes just due to exhaust swap. Caveat: you should still get a tune after swapping from stock to aftermarket exhaust.
I wonder how much something like this cost for that exact bike
It's close to 19 grand for flash
@@BrownChronicles What? No, it isn't. That's insane. It's right on their site in the description, $275 for basic reflash, $625 with all the options selected.
19k for an 8k bike 😅
In that case I buy a better bike lol😂
Better unplug booster
Watch the words you use.... EPA already got some other racers for doing the same thing.....
I was thinking the samething.....so nonchalant about it.
Can you flash and tune 2021 Honda rebel 1100?
Unfortunately I can not. Sorry
@@TeamMooreMafia thanks for the reply. Keep up the great work.
@@TeamMooreMafia any reason why not?
@@wanabetruckerdave3776 to my understanding, Honda really locks down their ECU's from being flashed with "unauthorized" tunes, under the excuse of warranty/longevity concerns.
@@paulsunell2477 Thx for the replay Paul. So I gotta say GO Ravens! I live outside B-more.👍 BUT, Im kind of new to bikes, meaning I havent ridden in about 35 years and looking at getting one. Honda is what I would look at cause I have a 5 gen Prelude that I love and Im all about honda. I managed to get more out of it with a Hondata reflash. Does anyone make a stand alone ecm for honda bikes like AEM does for cars? Curious to see if its posable to get more power out of a honda bike that Im considering. thx
They only made that color in 2019
Hearing damage lol
what
When you are flashing your ECU, who gives and eff about gas mileage?
Booster Plug-hah!
Good to see y’all throw that junk in the trash.
I rather enjoy mine. It makes this bike FAR more manageable. Also, I don't race it and generally only use it for city driving.. It works perfectly for that. If I wanted a racing bike I wouldn't have bought the S. My Voyager is my choice for long trips and getting out on the road. Not everything is a gimmick.
And thats why vulcan is very bad
Why is that?
@@bigjonshuntingandfishing6462 the whole platform of the bike is not it u cant mod u cant upgrade and its hella pricey
@@joseph7rz You're joke right?
@@ChillFam-eg3rj nah i aint joking the vulcan is of the worst cruser ever
@@joseph7rz that's your opinion, I personally think it's the best at that price range, I bought mine a month ago and I'm so happy with it, it's a beast.
60 hp, 490 lbs and 70 miles out of a 3.5 gallon tank ? Jesus , what a dull bike.
I'm getting 215 miles per tank. 70 doesn't make sense.
His mods were killing his gas mileage and he probably rides it hard.
Stubbington Marigold Since you're talking to Jesus and he rides a Vulcan S I think I'll go buy one this weekend.
I live in the mountain state and ride mine hard as fuck and get about 160, or 140 if it's purely interstate
The people who claim you need 150hp to have fun usually never did a track day and end up meat crayons on the highway sooner or later.
