I bought a new”old stock” 2017 Cafe for $7,200 because of your reviews. Absolutely love this bike. I’ve been riding since 1978. Best bike for the money I have ever had. Is it the best cruiser? Nope! I've had the 2019 going on 10 weeks now and I'm loving it! It is my first bike ever and after what I heard about the 250cc's, I'm glad I got the Vulcan S with it's perfect balance of power when I need it and not overpowering at all. Yamaha has the V-Max, Ducati has the XDiavel, Triumph has the Rocket III... hell, even Harley Davidson has its own muscle cruiser! the V-Rod! Why hasn't Kawasaki made a ridiculous 300hp supercharged Vulcan S yet, is something that still amazes me.
TBR exhaust helps with 0-60. Great sound too. I got one with the aftermarket exhaust and it's amazing. Only thing I would change is get the extended reach seat, bar and shift lever.
4.2 secs 0-60 is what Ive read in my research and its definitely the fastest in the small-mid size cruiser group. Yamahas and most motorcycles have speedometer deviation though , so when going 60 youre probably only going 55....
I started on a 2007 Virago 250.. rode it for 3 months and just bought the a 2024 Vulcan 650 Cafe.. i frikin love it! Feels like i’m surfing 🏄 down the road.. 😎
Vulcan S was on my shopping list as well but I ended up with Triumph Bonneville Bobber Black and I love every bit of it. Don't let 1200cc Bobber intimidate you, it's a very forgiving motorcycle and the power is available when you need it. Bobber Black is a beautiful bike and it turns a lot of heads.
Got my new 2020 Vulcan S Cafe about a week and a half ago. It pretty much replaced my 2001 Vulcan 800 Classic. I love this bike to death, I feel like I'm king of the road on this thing! (Obviously I'm not, semi trucks still scare the hell out of me, still...) I feel like I've found my last bike, assuming I can take good care of it.
I have the very same bike, color and all. Made a couple upgrades, like louder horn and pass. peg kit and set it up rider configuration as standard w/extended reach seat for a bit more comfort. Would like to upgrade exhaust to aftermarket at some point. It is a 2017 that I bought as "new old stock" with 6 miles on odometer for $6100 out the door. Although I drove 3 hours to get it! Love the channel, keep it up guys!!

Marky mark and the bunky funch I’ve been riding for a while, but there was a time when I didn’t have a bike, for like 5 years. Knowing I was rusty, I bought a used Suzuki Intruder 700. Awesome deal, $1,000 and rode it home. Yes I had to do some maintenance to it. Tires, brakes, fork seals, battery and bypass that annoying and troublesome clutch safety switch. Then, I rode the wheels off of it and when the 700 wasn’t enough anymore, I traded it for my 09 Super Glide. In my mind, if I drop the $1000 bike, no big deal but to just jump on a big Dyna after all that time not riding seemed like a suicide mission to me. It was still a huge jump and it took a season to get used to the power and weight of the bigger bike. I feel like I did exactly the right thing. My '85 XJ700 would smoke this thing. The Vulcan S is a great bike, but there are good classics out there from the 4 cylinder muscle cruiser era of the late 70's and 80's that can still put a big smile on your face.
Yeah go ahead and buy an outdated antique 😆. And spend more time working on it than enjoying it 🤦🏻♂️. The KVS is the same engine that's in the 650 Ninja and that thing will certainly keep up with a XJ700. The main difference is the KVS has a different cam, giving it more torque and less horsepower.
how much do you weigh i know your taller than me i'm 6 foot even and 250 ish pounds just wondering if this would be a good first bike for me my main concern is how big i'm gonna look on it size wise
So I'm looking for my first bike I can ride on an NZ LAMS category, and luckily, Kawasaki offers these with a restricter to make it LAMS compliant while Im on my learners. Ive been driving fast cars for a while, but after realising my wife in her diesel Mondeo can keep up with my RX-8 (because of traffic, 100kph speed limits, safety, blah, blah) I want something to ride to put a grin on my face every time I go out. The Vulcan looks like the bike I want and is a reasonable price. That faring though, does it REALLY matter if Im NOT going to be blasting 200kph down the highway? Will the naked bike be fine until I want to push a little more? Would that little gap around this cafe faring make the bike whistle?
Hi.Just wondering I am 5.11' and 120 kgs.I am considering buying one due to an aling back.Whould I be fine on this bike and how does it perform on a steep road or up hill?

09 Super Glide, stage 2, and I KILLED a CBR 1000 off the line, 0-60 and 0-110. After that, I’m certain the CBR would go right on by with power to spare. This was in a straight line as well. In the twisty curvys? I’m toast! 😂😂

Question: I'm 6'2" and about 340 lbs. I'm quite broad, but obviously fat. Am I gonna make this thing want to kill itself or will it still perform ok? Obviously not as quick or fast as someone who is 180 lbs.

The local dealer has a NOS 2015 Vulcan with ABS for $5,000. I am tempted to buy it but it would be my first bike. Not sure I want to spent that much on my first bike though.
Well you gotta remember - you are wanting Kawasaki to make a sport cruiser as fast as a super sport. That doesnt work to well. They did make a Vulcan 2000 for a bit. If you want a rocket cruiser, go get a Triumph Rocket III.
Sub-three seconds! I'm guessing at 4.1. Let's see. 4.71 and 4.38. Not bad for a 650, and anyway 0-60 doesn't matter so much. Top gear roll-ons are more important.
When you're in the business of selling vehicles, you don't fill the tanks with fuel because you don't want to put a lot of extra miles on it to try to keep the value and you definitely don't want gas to get old just sitting in the tanks.
I'm looking to get my first bike, and this is the bike I've always thought was beautiful, I've wanted one for years, just need to find one for a decent price
Todd Davis check your local dealers for new “old stock” if you want a new one. I picked up a brand new 2017 abs cafe on clearance for $6,000. I absolutely love it.
Every beginner should start on a 2016 or older Honda Rebel 250. Best beginner bike ever made. Yes it's too small to keep for a long time, unless you are really small. But that is not the idea. You want to learn without dying, and the little Rebel is way easier to control than the Vulcan 650S. You can get them cheap, and if you don't destroy them, you can probably get your money back when you sell it. It's really too bad Honda quit making this bike. It was by far the best option for a beginner.
His second attempt was like 4.3 sec 0-60. Pretty sure with a little practice you could hit 4 flat easy. Thats pretty quick for a cruiser. And for the $$ not bad. And you can get exhaust , prally better air filter, and a programer for not much and get in the high 3 seconds.
Interesting info but I don't hear of many people in the Vulcan S department needing to compensate by destroying an engine with a programmer just to take a second off their 0 to 60.
I took notice of the Vulcan s because of your videos, and I am now the proud owner of a 2018 Vulcan s SE. I love it!

Yamaha should make a similar bike with the fz07 engine
XSR 700? Maybe more cafè racer but still that retro vibe
how much do you weigh i know your taller than me i'm 6 foot even and 250 ish pounds just wondering if this would be a good first bike for me my main concern is how big i'm gonna look on it size wise
well this is it, this is the bike i want. dont care if it takes 2 more years without a bike. im starting to save up for one NOW.
Looks like a fun bike, but that thing will never crack 4 seconds.
It has cracked 4 seconds in official tests. Just about 3.8 or 3.9 I think.
I cant even get a drivers license and yet I want a Vulcan S haha
Well, the gear indicator is new too.
a GOD fearing moto vlogger.. pretty cool.. except the vulcan s the mostly like in your vids is the word of GOD in the Bible for the intro.. keep it up mannnnn 😇🙏GODspeed as always
That mirror is distracting me! 😆
I love what you did with the mirrors in this video... lol. I have some Fenrir bar end mirrors on mine. Works great with stock bar end weights.
its a great bike for returning bikers
gilbert sanchez correct that’s what I bought it for. Returning after 30 years👍
@@trey9233 good for people with old guy problems like bad knees, backpain, etc. like me :)
@marky mark and the bunky funch
i wonder if the Kawasaki Vulcan 650 s is available with belt drive, I do not like a chain on a street bike.
How come?
@@bikescone9068 because chains are noisy/dirty/high maintenance.
Hi guys. I’m totally interested in the white Kawasaki Vulcan S cafe but I don’t see it listed on your sight. I dig all of your videos, I watch all the time.
will that windshield help remove some air from the chest? when i drive 105mph its a bit hard holding the wind back.
Just saw the 0 to 60 part now. It's pretty quick for what is, but definitely not a serious runner.
I’m stuck between the Vulcan s and the Honda Fury lol idk which one to get
Motorsports F1 MotoGP my fury is pretty fast and looks better...
I can beat a gsx r1000 0 to 60 then I die lol
09 Super Glide, stage 2, and I KILLED a CBR 1000 off the line, 0-60 and 0-110. After that, I’m certain the CBR would go right on by with power to spare. This was in a straight line as well. In the twisty curvys? I’m toast! 😂😂
Those are very different bikes ...
I love these bikes! One day I’ll afford one ☺️
Having just bought 1 today 8k for a brand new bike is a steal
Hot I just got clobbered on a Suzuki GZ 250 like to look at a bike had a thing up to 85 in fourth gear by the way no when I got here I’m looking for something like that would you recommend a spike for me the Vulcan S I’ve been riding for 19 years
Question: I'm 6'2" and about 340 lbs. I'm quite broad, but obviously fat. Am I gonna make this thing want to kill itself or will it still perform ok? Obviously not as quick or fast as someone who is 180 lbs.
Could you do a video of the Harley Davidson street rod 750
Hey Shawn where do I get those boots man they seem to be holding up through the years.
I find it beyond admirable that you start off your day with an uplifting word from God! Thank you & God be with you in all endeavors!
I am looking into one of these for my gf. Looks like a great starter bike for her. She is only 5 ft tall. So not much has to go into adjust the height for her
I have a 2003 1500 Vulcan Mean Streak. I've been looking at these but I'm worried that the power would be lacking in comparison. Especially on highways, and or with a passenger...not exactly sure what to do
Phantom288288 1500 v. 650
Pretty simple math
This bike looks like a Sunday Funday bar hopper, a good 2nd bike just to trash around on. I’m a HD guy but not a snob about it like so many others. Your mean streak would leave my Road King (O4 RK 95” stage 2) in the dust. When I park the Sofa Glide and want to get my ya-yas out, I bust out the 09 Super Glide, 96” and a 6 speed. It’s also stage 2 and a rocket ship
Hi Sean love the blog here in the uk. God bless. I am a new rider like the look of the Vulcan and also the Yamaha xv950 r(bolt) what would be the better for a new rider. stay close
The local dealer has a NOS 2015 Vulcan with ABS for $5,000. I am tempted to buy it but it would be my first bike. Not sure I want to spent that much on my first bike though.
Is the bullet fairing available for purchase
For height comparison how tall are you
Andrew Demmer he is 6’2” or 6’1”
Great bike. Wish it had a 270 crank, though. Better torque and sound than the 180. Such a simple thing for Kaw to do.
how come i dont see that color scheme on their website
they change colors every year..this bike color scheme was from 2017
Gotta do an upgrade on the exhaust. Doesn’t sound too good.
What boots are you wearing?
If kawasaki would make a vulcan with the engine from the zx10R i would trade in my bike and buy that so fast lol. Please Kawasaki make a vulcan1000s
Really that would be great
I thought they did. They're older
burntbeef 1 I believe they have the Vulcan 900 and that’s probably all we are gonna get unless you want the huge ones
Well you gotta remember - you are wanting Kawasaki to make a sport cruiser as fast as a super sport. That doesnt work to well. They did make a Vulcan 2000 for a bit. If you want a rocket cruiser, go get a Triumph Rocket III.
There was the eliminator series, they all had ninja's engines from 125 to 1000cc.
love the vids! keep up the good work!
Sub-three seconds! I'm guessing at 4.1. Let's see. 4.71 and 4.38. Not bad for a 650, and anyway 0-60 doesn't matter so much. Top gear roll-ons are more important.
What kind of Jacket do you wear? I like the High vis on it!
U ever try the new one wheel single engine bike I seen one and they guy looked very unsafe but it had abs he paid 33k for a one a year ride so wild
Picked one of these used the other night for $2500, really fun bike. Just need to fix the shifter on mine cause it stays down when down shifting
so you are always low on fuel
When you're in the business of selling vehicles, you don't fill the tanks with fuel because you don't want to put a lot of extra miles on it to try to keep the value and you definitely don't want gas to get old just sitting in the tanks.
@@tcruz673 True. So common sense would dictate that you check your fuel status as part of the pre-flight before you turn the %$#*ing camera on! HA!
Hmmm 🤔
Boots, gloves, brain bucket ✅
Hi-vis vest ✅
Nod to God ✅
Mirrors set? Fuel levels? 😂😂
Just yankin chains, love these videos
I'm thinking of buying this bike because of your videos
That thing sounds awesome.
Your videos mainly (among others) informed my purchase of my 2019 Kawasaki Vulcan S. Thank You.
How much to Poke & Stroke to 740 cc ?
Bought the exact same bike an just love it
His second attempt was like 4.3 sec 0-60.
