- 'It's about as big as it gets'. That's the verdict of an American Commander on 'Exercise Rattlesnake' in Louisiana. They are hosting the 3rd Battalion The Rifles (3 RIFLES) who have flown 4,500 miles from Edinburgh to embed with US forces. The action has been taking place at Fort Polk, one of the top urban training environments in the world.

Lets not forget English speaking allies, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the rest. Very much capable, brave, and willing to stand and fight for freedom.
They only speak English because we colonised them hehe
Charlie Wootton that sentence doesn’t work over a text on a screen, nice try and I wasn’t trying to insult anyone just stating fact
We Brits never forget the contribution these countries have given for freedom. They were there with us at the start of WW1 and WW2. We thank you and appreciate all that you did.
Ireland
@@binladenaladen5163 northern Ireland for sure.
long live the strongest brotherhood in the world love from the UK
Amen, much love from u.s. as well
United by heritage, language, culture, science, and philosophy. It will be very hard to dissolve the USA-Britain alliance.
Thank you brother. I wish all the best for our closest ally!
love from the sikhs
Much love brothers.
American and British soldiers are an overwhelming unstoppable force and I pity who ever is on the other side.
Americans alone is a overwhelming unstoppable force
Ur profile pick is my lock screen XD
Lets not abuse it but yes it is wonderful to have a partner.
@GastonGross "The English" are not your ally. The English dont have an army - neither do the others from UK- Scottish, Welsh, or Northern Irish. The BRITISH is what you mean. That's the British Army from the United Kingdom. The British Army is from Wales, Nothern Ireland , England and Scotland.
@GastonGross Don't quite get it do you?
You gotta love the Americans. What other country has the balls to use Apache's with live firing on an exercise.
Matt D agreed, Americans are just on another level.. love our USA brothers!! :)
🇺🇸 🇬🇧!! Strongest duo in the world.
Allot of countries do. Russia and China do live chopper exercise. America rarely go into live battlefield with an Apache for support.
@@ShanksNLMB no they aren't. better infantry on average and better submarines. But as an overall force the US is overwhelmingly more powerful
@@ShanksNLMB its really just better training overall. They need to have better quality individuals as a whole to make up for their size.
Makes me so happy to see our brother like countries standing together with a middle finger against the world.
Wouldn't have it any other way.
Damn right
English speaking work... Commonthwealth
from southern California, here here well said.
Mother and Son countries
From enemies to family ♥️
I served along side three rifles when I was in Iraq. They are definitely a great bunch of dudes and very motived to do their job.
I also have served with Brits on a few of my deployments. A fine bunch of men and women as well as, soldiers who are knowledgeable, well trained, flexible thinkers and generally a pleasure to live with. Very proud to count them among our dwindling allies. Wish I could say the same for the government of the UK which seems to be misguided, misaligned and mistaken. Much like my own country, the US, the UK appears to be wholly undeserving of the fine young men and women who voluntarily insert themselves into harm's way representing their country and its allies effectively, efficiently, with precision, pride, indomitable courage and great bravery. All done with honor and simply brilliant senses of humor. All of you Brits can be enormously proud of the incomparably fine young men and women in your nation's service.
🇬🇧🇺🇸brothers
Brothers now and forever. Our leaders may squabble but our people are joined by a bond stronger than any other. The Lion and Eagle can overcome any threat and have seen darkness defeated before and will stand as bulwark against it when it rises again.
Just don't throw out tea in the harbour again, lol
🇬🇧🇺🇸
I can see NATO dissolving in the future but I dont believe I'll ever see the u.s. and british alliance dissolving.
Which is weird because the u.k. was at one point in time our most hated enemy.
At one point the British were the 13 colonies .... The US comes from the English.
Soft Poor Corn ✅✅✅
@@alanandconnielast No it doesnt. British does not mean English.
I’ve heard people say our biggest enemy’s can be our biggest friend
@Matthew Smith Strange how narratives get skewed over time. Ex. Paul Revere's ride, "The British are coming..!" He actually said "The Regulars are coming..!". He considered himself, as did all residents of the 13 colonies, British. And prior to 4th of July 1776 that is indeed what they were.
Be wary of people that seem to want to re-write the narrative as they tend to have an agenda. On this subject it's relatively harmless. On other subjects, not so. Ex. 1619 Project.
Good to have our American cousins with us!!
Good to have you with us britbro.
Great Britain is USA's dad not cousin what are talking about lol.
Great Britain is fathers to New Zealand, Australia and Israel too.
206 guy - and time for this old man to live in his new retirement home...one room at the annals of history.
Nocturnal Recluse Cold War 2 is upon us. Great Britain isn't going to the retirement home yet. If Hillary gets elected it will be US and UK vs Russia. Britain has already sent troops to Russia's border. No lie.
While deployed to Iraq in 2003 always enjoyed talking to our British brothers. Also enjoyed training alongside them and other European militaries.
God bless our cousins the British. Welcome to America. You're family till the end.
Bless y'all too, much love 🇬🇧
It is incredible to see 2 great countries fighting together!
As an American soldier I always enjoy working with the British Army. True professionals. Brothers in Arms!
God bless USA from UK
Blessing obliged and sent back your way UK bretherin! Stronger together!
God save the Queen, from the US.
(It almost feels weird saying that, especially not wanting to be a Monarchy and all, except that Queen Elizabeth is such a strong. smart and classy lady I've always thought that if ever anyone HAD to have a queen, I couldn't think of a better one to have than her.)
That strong lady stole trillions of worth of jewels and resources from other countries. She is evil.
Best at looting from countries. Her crown is from countries like India.
Thanks you sir, he sure has a lot of patience with us that's for sure.
Nocturnal Recluse!!! It wouldn't be natural to fight without our American guys!! U.S and British Soldiers the best in the world.
Agreed
What about Israel?😂😂
Two very professional armies, stay safe !
I don't know how I found myself here but Bless our British allies! Much love from the US 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Bless y'all too much love 🇬🇧
Rather be with our American brothers than with the EU - anyday.
LOL.... Greetings from California
Erm most EU countries are in NATO anyway, it’s not an either/or
@Boi Boi im in the same position, i want to become a royal marine, i would die on american soil to protect our nations
@@phillipmorrison9607 With plans for an EU specific army becoming reality, I'd like to look back at this comment in 10 years and see how well it's aged.
@@Dezzasheep as part of the EU ths UK had a veto on military policy so yeah, I'd agree with brexit the thing you don't want to happen is now more likely. There's a chance it would weaken NATO, again thanks to brexit, but the idea we wouldn't be in a coalition with EU countries as well as the US in a major conflict is silly.
Very cool to see Brits training side by side with our guys. Welcome to Louisiana, gentlemen! If you get off base, don't get in trouble, it's very easy to do in LA lol.
Welcome brits!.
Nice welcoming, mate. I was born in England. I love the USA and the UK.
Boi Boi likewise brother
Joe Cook have you been to the us? If so where?
what a alliance,a few hundred years ago we killed each other now we die for each other...
I want to Believe British soldier in Louisiana. "At least it's not 1814 and Andrew Jackson isn't trying to kill us "
lol
We fought Brits not Americans.. The 13 Colonies were British. Make an effort, the US comes from the UK.
Once the declaration was signed they became Americans. Their children born here were Americans.
@@stephens2007 Canadians are also Amaricans then. America is continent. Anyone on those lands would be defined as American.
Although in reality, it's evident that the US and Canada are European / British colonies. Nothing more and nothing less.
Due to size, investment and structure created by the founders who were European by the way. Gives the USA it's success today.
If the 13 colonies were Spanish we would not be speaking right now. And I most definitely would not be speaking Spanish.
Love seeing our fellow Brits fight alongside us! It’s just amazing to see our long lasting friendship grow!
I feel sorry for the Brits. They came all the way across the Atlantic and had to go to Fort Polk? Everybody hates that place. It's like being sent to hell. Even NTC at Fort Irwin is less shitty.
That's the point...to give them the most possible realistic sequence.
We Brits when we're going through hell: we keep going ;) don't worry yanks, we'll sort it out!
Clinton A I'd say Louisiana is a good place to train if your going to fight somewhere like Sub-Saharan Africa or Southern Philippines . Those places have active terrorist movements too . After training I hope they got fed some good Cajun food and had a party in New Orleans . Louisiana wasn't much fun for the British back in 1814 either . US and UK , great allies now .
atomic3939 Wasn't there a movie made back in the 90s where a Jewish kid from New York City was sent to Fort Polk for boot camp back in WW2 ? Christopher Walken was the Drill Instructor . A recruit took a couple of steps into the river and plunged in over his head . LOL !
Did you notice how much said Brits were still loving it?
Love to see this im American and am glad we have such a close relationship with the British and the best soldiers in the world training together like this only strengthens our bond also ive been to England twice and the cultural differences are there but still were similar in some ways 🇺🇸🇬🇧
much love 🇬🇧
My Roots are From England,.Scotland, Wales and Ireland !!! We will Always be Family !!! Love you guys,..Glad you Trained in The States !!! Come back for Holiday....I will personally Show you around......
Good to see them working together. :)
Long live the UK and USA. Much love from the states. 👍
It’s so funny how we absolutely hated them back in the day and now they’re one of our closest allies. Nobody can stop that force 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Scott S are you American?
Never really hated them honestly. Many people back then were torn. In fact many foinding fathers tried several times to get representation or the ability to govern ourselves but remain part of the crown. They would have been happy with that outcome. Sadly King George wouldnt hear any of it (cause money).
Even after the war the US sent diplomats to the UK to try to mend relations with the crown.
By "back in the day" do you mean hundreds of years ago, far before you were even born?
0:31 "methodically" - jumps head first through window
Lol nice catch 😂🤣😂😂
British Troops are Always welcome Here.....
Just not back in 1776
I feel for the Brits. The couple of times I got to train in England the Beer was great. The food was a little bland, but it was fun.
Here in the States, unless you are getting into the micro-brews, the beer in terrible. We didn't have micro-brews when I was in. Occasionally watered down European or Canadian beers.
There is a lot of fun here. A friend of mine is from the UK. Dave goes nuts here in our book stores.
its great to have the Brits on our side
Its great to have y'all with us too
Yeah dude its good that our cousins are fighting together.
cousins lol.. You mean Father and Son.. xD

He clearly hasn't seen any Polandball Lol!
Yep
Are you stupid their our cousins 😂 it’s been that saying for over 200 years
Respect for soldiers 🇬🇧🇺🇲 🕊️ .Great respect for good and effective alliances. For peace.
*🇺🇸 🇬🇧!!* Strongest duo in the world.
Great to see the 2 forces working together.America has no closer friend in the world than England.
It's the United Kingdom.
Yes, we're 4 countries in United as 1.
"The United kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland "
Well - It was an English colony which is why they identify the country with England not realizing as it was just England when started the U.S colony.
Super step up into human history.
British training and fighting along side w the U.S.
This is beautiful.
I don't know why, but there's just something wholesome about watching soldiers of different countries kicking ass together and just being bros. God bless America and God bless Britain!
Great report! I caught up with the CO and RSM of the 1st LANCS last week.
I encourage the UK troops visiting the US for training, make use of all that funding they get... and maybe the local culture ;)
France and Germany also have training bases in the U.S.
@@orlock20 France and Germany have not fought and won a war let alone a battle in how long? Pfftt.... They serve the E.U not the English speaking alliance.
@@alanandconnielast Lmfao france and germany clown us for our military spending and then start bitching when we threaten to pull out of Nato and the EU.
Collaboration is key, our special forces were modeled after British SF. I’m glad to see us working together and making each other better. Hope to see more in the future.
Fr bro I love our American cousins
Good thing is,is that we have the best resources on the planet and the best troops in the 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The most resources with some fine troops but the British have much less resources with the best troops.
I remember me and some reservists were training at JBLM and we met these British soldiers at a bar in Tacoma. We talked and they were shocked how well the armed forces in America were treated so well when they were given Military Discounts. Some of them said that was the first time they felt glad to be a soldier when training in the States.
United our two countries stand together. Proud of both countries.
These boys finaly see clear skies, somthing thats rare in the UK
"Operation Rattlesnake Glow-worm" was a JTE between US National Guard soldiers from Pennsylvania and Her Majesties 5TH Royal Green Jackets. We trained at Catterick, and Warcop Training Area with the Brits. That was in 1993. Glad to see that these cooperative operations are still going on.
nice to see the new virtus kit in action
Awesome. More anglo-american military cooperation and integration!
The United States of America leads the way! Great to have the Brits at our side!
I wonder what the British thought of the weather? The summers are long, hot and humid & the winters are cold & wet. It rains year round (that part they're probably used to)
Always brothers.
Fort Polk is about 2 hours or so from my house. We use to pass by the entrance when I was little and always get hyped up seeing the M1-Abrams at the gate entrance back in the day, but I think they took it down now.
I read this training was in the US while under fire and I was like were is this Chicago?
As an American it's very interesting to have found this source of information regarding our dear allies. Thanks so much!
Loved the way he jumped in that window 😂😂
So cool to see the U.S and our big brothers working together. Love the US 🇺🇸 , and love the UK 🇬🇧
Good to see our brotherhood is still great. I will give a shout out too our other brothers. Canada. Australia. New Zealand and fierce Gurkas all equally great warriors. Big salute. Proud of them all 👍
Last year my dad was in iraq on his sexond mission and he trained the jrtc in tactics. I even have a jrtc t shirt
Love the Brits. The SAS was the first special forces. Great allies , great people......many are our cousins. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
I had to smile at the Brits toward the end saying they were glad to get the chance to come to America. I've trained at JRTC, and in the US army, Fort Polk is frequently described as the one post in the US army that actually _is_ as bad as everyone says it is. And if you get a pass to go off post, you have the great metropolis of Leesville, LA, population 6000. JRTC is a great place to train. But when you're on your own time... Ugh.
Britain can take it
The Royal marines have been training with the 2nd battalion here in Australia just recently.
good stuff being shown
Can you do a more recent video on Vertice
Very beauty
🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
Oh shiz props to the UK for having the kahunas to train with our live firing madness
Came to see how my USEC brothers from the other side of the pond train.
Oh I love it! Watch out baby here it comes!
Like the new squad update, British and Us now can fight together
I love the special relationship. Important obviously in both world wars. All the English speaking countries were allies in them of course. Except Ireland. Sat out both world wars because they hate Britain too much. Northern Ireland in world war two were very much an ally and key in helping the allies. Churchill particularly thanked northern Ireland in a post war speech.
Churchill near the end of his political career advised Britain in the future to never leave her. Her being the USA.
He knew there was a new sheriff in town for the future, the United states. World power and dominance, leading and carrying the flag for democracy and freedom.
And we all might remember churchill's mother was American. Like mine was.
Not to bore or carry on, but I do like 20th century history.
Joe Cook I think you need to do a bit of research, while Southern Ireland was neutral, many thousands of Irishmen fought with British regiments and many died in both world wars
@@douglasspencer745 oh. Didn't know. I maybe assumed some did. Don't know how a neutral country can choose a side and enlist. But anyway, good job northern Ireland. Do they at least get credit in your book?
And don't get me wrong, I'm not against the Irish. People are people, all that.
If I was Irish I would be all Irish, proud of it. I would hate the British because what else would I have to think about. Like al Qaeda and ISIS, take away USA hatred and they have nothing. Sad.
@@joecook5689 you clearly have no idea of the complexity of the northern Ireland issue, ...many fought for the united kingdom of great Britain and northern Ireland back then and many still do! Do us a favour lad......research 100 years of this subject and commit yourself ....then you might understand why the protestant northern irish fight under the union flag! No offence intended

It just the new Virtus body armour, all infantry roles will soon have it is they haven't already. Nothing new here...

Hopefully the Brits might do some training here in California’s Mojave desert in Fort Irwin as well.

They don't look like the 501st to me, where's the white and blue armour?
Also a bunch of American soldiers were lucky to come to the uk to train with royal forces
Also to note: British soldiers stated seeing a ghostly figure resembling Andrew Jackson cussing them out from time to time

By the way it's an ocean obviously not a pond
Ok
Wow I feel so out of touch... is everyone doing the 'Flat Cap Beret' now? :o
Love the Brits. They say: These Alabama winters are terrible. How can you Americans can stand it? Meanwhile, they think: You newbies haven't experienced cold until you have experienced a Scottish winter.
Why don't the Brits get Apache and 50 cal. support ? After all, They deserve it.
bigearedmouse17. It is available but not for training ( 50 cals are lesser used by the british)
Dude we have apache and .50 cal .......why spend that money on training if the U.S. wants to provide it for us? Your defence budget is more than our national budget, no offence implied if you're yank as i love our unity
