- I just assembled this pocket bike last night and took it for a drive today. I am about 200 lbs. The acceleration and speed is okay for having a 40cc 4 stroke engine. Cruising speed at full throttle is about 15-20 mph. If you’re fine with that speed, I recommend this bike. If you want to go faster, I would recommend a 49cc 2 stroke pocket bike instead, like a Cagliari.
Before asking a question, please read this quick Q&A to see if there already is an answer to your question:
Q: How fast does it go?
A: I recorded a top speed of 15-20 mph on fairly level ground.
Q: How long does shipping take?
A: I have no idea where you live, but it took about 2 weeks to get to me in western Washington State. Call the phone number for minipocketrockets.com, which is 1-888-677-2453 to find out.
Q: How can I make it go faster?
A: There isn't much you can do to make this 40cc 4 stroke bike faster. All I can say is make sure your brakes aren't dragging so there is as little resistance as possible. If you want something slightly faster, consider buying a 49cc 2 stroke pocket bike instead.
I may add questions and answers to this list. If there isn't something answered, feel free to ask! Thanks for reading!

awesome pocket bike ...i miss my bikes
Thanks. I’m sorry man, I really hope things work out for you.
But hey, while you’re at it, would you mind checking out my video called ”Pocket Bike Motovlog” and comment what you think of it, maybe how I could improve? I think it’s 5 videos down from my most recent video. Thanks Skullcam, you’re awesome!
The 4 stroke pocket bikes are cool for the quietness and reliability but if you're after performance and customizability, then the 2 stroke bike is where its at. My biggest complaint with pocket bikes is that they break all the time but they are cheap to buy and fix and they are fun when they run.
I would disagree. If 2 strokes are built well, they are extremely reliable, and with this particular 4 stroke pocket bike, I just tore down the engine a few weeks ago because the oil seal on the flywheel side was leaking oil, and also the carburetor kind of gave out, leaking gasoline all over the floor in the garage, dripping through the air filter housing. My particular experience with this 40cc 4 stroke engine wasn't that great because of those 2 things, but one thing I did like was it was pretty fuel efficient, and it never smoked one bit. With 2 strokes, there is no messing around with oil levels and oil changes. They're more simple and faster than their 4 stroke counterparts. I would have loved this 40cc 4 stroke pocket bike if I could find a new oil seal, but I'm not sure where to look.
@@rabbitfootedkitty1339 I love 2 stroke engines but I'm saying that these chinese pocket bike motors are all kinda junk, they are just cheaply made, and for your oil seal if you can measure all the dimensions of the seal then you can probally find one online or look to see if you have a local bearing and seal supplier like a "bearing house". I have a local one and they usually can get what ever you have, just bring it in they will measure it and get you the right one and some seals have part numbers on them if you look real closely and then you can search that number as well, hope this helps.
@@briang4470 Thank you so much, this does help a lot. I'm not super interested in getting it working again because I always seem to have problems with the rear tire, and the chain, but I can try measuring the crankshaft and stuff to find a seal, so thank you.
With all new motors big or small they have what's called a break in period which means you shouldn't run your pocket bike at full rpms for the blade specifically it takes about 3 tanks for it to break in so give it some time and it should speed up.
ChaosFusionXR I know about break-in periods. I’ve had many different small engines, ranging from a couple of nitro rc cars, one nitro rc plane, a 1/5 scale rc gas Rovan Baja 5b, almost a dozen 2 stroke stand up scooters over about 4 years, ranging in displacement from 21.5cc to 49cc, lawn mowers, pressure washers, weed wackers, and recently, I just got my first motorcycle, a 2007 Kawasaki KLX300R. As far as break-in for this little piece of autism on wheels, varying the ripums, using a conventional oil, and checking the oil level should be okay for break-in. And yeah, about for 3-5 tanks sounds about right.
so i just got the bike today same one im having trouble putting the wind shield on and the body were do all the screws go plz help
One nut and bolt goes through the top bracket under the windscreen. 2 nuts and bolts go through a bracket to connect the 2 bottom parts of the body and 2 nuts and bolts on each side attach the left and right sides of the body to the bike. I hope this helps!
@@rabbitfootedkitty1339 Having the same problem. Also the front fairing restricts the turn radius. Is there an installation video? Couldn't find one.
@@jbl7092 I remember the bars do hit the fairings. You can adjust how far the bars angle backwards which might give you more angle, but it’s pretty limited. As for a video I’m not exactly sure, but I’m sure there’s something out there from 10 years ago which might help. I’d make and edit more videos if I had the motivation but the last thing I was doing was goped stuff. It would be cool to swap a Honda gx35 into one of those cheap 4 stroke pocket bikes.
I actually have this one it’s crazy fast but I took the faring off and the pegs are super loose
Is it a Blata or a Polini?
Could I BUY ONE
Could I buy that
U must have gotten a dud motor bc mine will do 45 on black top completely stock
In Armenian Russian accent, “hae hae hae very funny”
Can a grown adult ride this without any problems?
20 miles it go’s 50 miles an hour
Does it really go 50 I hope so I just got one
@@joshuacardenas3366Im about to get this? does it go 50MPH?
@Rayan-rw3gt no it don't sold it after a week and got a pit bike
How much weight can it hold
Just got the blade on my front door today it took about 5 days. Pretty nice bike not what I expected. How exactly can I get the oil inside there’s no cap just dipstick?
Okay, so for properly filling and checking the oil level, first you need to prop the rear wheel up about 6 inches, or until the engine is as level as you can get it to correctly check the oil level. There are 2 places for the oil to flow in and out of the engine. You fill and check the oil level through the dipstick hole and you drain the oil through the drain plug on the bottom left of the dipstick that you remove with a 5 mm allen wrench. You can also drain the oil through the dipstick hole if you want.
I highly recommend that before you start the engine for the first time, you draining any existing oil that may have came in the engine when you got it and replacing it with an oil of much better quality. I don't trust the oil that comes with these small Chinese engines, and other people too have drained any oil that came with their small brand new engines as well. It's just a good practice that you know the engine has good, fresh, quality oil for breaking in.
As for oil, I recommend using any brand of 10w-40 conventional oil that has an API (American Petroleum Institute) certification ring, and I do NOT recommend using any synthetic-blend or full synthetic oil for the first few oil changes. In my (and lots of other people's) opinion, conventional oil is best for breaking in a brand new engine because it helps the internal surfaces, such as the piston rings, wear in and seat properly.
Once you have the engine level and you are ready for filling it with fresh oil, you can fill the small 100 ml red bottle with fresh oil which makes it very easy to fill the engine. Pour in small increments and check the level by wiping off the dipstick and screwing it all of the way into the engine to get a proper reading. It isn't like common small Honda engines where you don't screw the dipstick in, for this engine, in the manual, it says to fully screw it down to get the correct reading. So once you fill it to the full mark, you should be good to go for the first start and run, just be careful not to overfill it.
I recommend changing the oil after one full tank of use. That's what I did, and the oil was extremely dirty, so I suspect your engine will be similar. For changing the oil, remove the bottom plastic fairings, warm the engine up for about 5 minutes so that the oil will flow out fast, easy, and with all of it's contaminates, and drain it into a small container by removing the 5 mm drain plug. It will take a little while for the oil to drain through the drain plug if you don't warm it up first, so I always recommend changing the oil while the engine is warm, even if you chose to drain the oil through the dipstick hole. Once the oil is done draining, I like to dip the engine forward to get as much oil out as I can. So when you're done draining, be careful not to strip the drain plug. Snug is fine, you don't need to get it super tight. I would continue to use conventional oil for at least a few more tanks.
I hope this helps, have fun and be save! ^^
@@rabbitfootedkitty1339 you are awesome man thanks for the Golden information sir!
@@iamPauleyD My pleasure! Let me know if you need help with anything else on your pocket bike!
Will this work for 12 year old jus to ride around the neighborhood every know in then
Yes, a pocket bike like this would be perfect for a 12 year old to ride around the neighborhood.
hey man i was looking at the gp rsr mini bike. is it worth it? would it still only go about as fast as yours? or would i be better off getting the 2stroke cag even tho it only has 5.0hp?
Oil change
Is there a start switch
No, this bike doesn’t have an electric start. There’s only a kill switch to stop the engine.
The way to start it is the pull start and there’s a red kill switch to cut it off
Its a pretty sweet looking bike! Is there anyway you can do some POV footage while riding it?
Thanks! I wish I got some, I am so sorry. I also needed some for a music video for a school project. I could have gotten some, but then due to me over-inflating the rear tire and popping it shortly after this video, which is entirely my fault, a riding video will have to wait for now. It seems difficult to find a replacement. I also want to replace the rear wheel if I can because I think the factory cross-threaded one of the bolts that holds the brake disk on. I could have gotten some riding footage before I messed it up, so I am sorry. I wanted this video to have riding footage in it as well.
RabbitFootedKitty, what a bummer. Im all for a riding video once you get that replacement tire!
Mine goes 45mph
Which one you got I’m tryna buy one
hi I just bought this for my son and cant get it started is there an on switch or did you just start it right up ty
No, there is only a kill switch, and there is only a pull start. When you fill the tank up with gasoline, pump the primer bulb, and give it a little throttle, it should start right up. Make sure you check the oil level first and make sure that is okay.
Man that top speed seems kinda low, maybe it's geared lower than usual? Must have great acceleration though. Such a nice bike
Considering that my previous 47cc/49cc 2 stroke pocket bike that was the same size as this one went about 25-30 mph, I think the fact that this one is a 40cc 4 stroke, it goes around 20mph, and that it has good acceleration, is pretty decent. It depends, but I believe a 2 stroke engine has a power and weight advantage over a 4 stroke engine per the same displacement. And also, this little 40cc 4 stroke revs high for what it is (the engine sticker on the side says max power is around 6500 rpms), so it's really decent right out of the box with no modifications.
What you think of this for a 70lb 7 year old?
how fast do you think i’ll go? i weigh 115
If you weigh 115, you should go pretty quick, relative to me at least. You'll probably get up to 20 mph.
What company makes that?
Sum Ting Wong Industries

How long did it take to arrive On your front door ?
I live in the Pacific Northwest, and believe it took a week or two, but it may vary for you, depending on where you live, and if the bike you want is in stock or not, which the website, minipocketrockets.com, is not always honest about until you call them.
20 mph is ok I guess if you are a beginner
I think so too, but what do you consider fast for a pocket bike? Right now, I consider 30 mph pretty good for a Chinese pocket bike.
Mind nalang sir
0:22 he fought his accent lol
How fast is it?
I recorded a top speed of about 15-20 mph on my gps.
RabbitFootedKitty mine is coming today, thanks
@@Clipdees Congratulations! Make sure everything is okay on your bike, be safe, and have fun!
RabbitFootedKitty everything is good but how do I mount the fenders and top price with out it interfering with the handle bars
@@Clipdees Once you get the fenders on, you need to tighten the handlebars in a position where they're swooped back. Just look at my video for reference.
