You could do insomnia and sleep paralysis
I would love to see a Bipolar Disorder or Borderline Personality Disorder, maybe a sculpture that has multiple faces to represent the drastic different moods that come with both disorders.

Please do sleep paralysis and insomnia (could be like a person/wanderer/mutant etc. with two heads one with insomnia they cant sleep the other head with sleep paralysis, so the paralysis side could have like a ghost demon sort thing only on its side watching them)

This series is incredible. As someone who differs from many mental health issues, it's kind of emotional thing to see someone representing mental health into art. I would love to see a Bipolar Disorder or Borderline Personality Disorder, maybe a sculpture that has multiple faces to represent the drastic different moods that come with both disorders.

As a fellow anxious being, I appreciate the story of Angor. You conveyed the feelings of anxiety so well with this sculpture!
Loving this series of Wanderers. This is a perfect depiction of anxiety. One part that really stands out to me is the twisted, tight neck muscles, along with the arms across the chest. I felt that. Well done.
Here's a friendly reminder to let your jaw relax every once in a while. I like to remind myself to do that every now and then.

As someone who has depression and anxiety, I love this series. I'm considering making something that embodies how I feel when I am in the midst of sensory overload, but if you beat me to it, have at it.
Idk if I’m the only one but, I feel a sense of relief with this angor, like I picture him with a child and like walking with them. It’s weird but it’s just what I see when I look at him
Thank you Anthony. I was a member of NAMI for years, mental illness is the invisible illness and those who suffer with it become invisible as well. Break your leg everyone runs to sign your cast, have a broken mind and they run away. You’re doing an amazing job expressing these overwhelming feelings in clay. Therapeutic all the way around.

Man, these guys (from this series) are scary in a way that I can't put into words... because they're real. You look at them and you know. You can feel it...
Why is it I really want to see representations of Ocd and facial dysmorphia, both can bring really interesting consepts that would translate to an incredible sculpt

As long as he does OCD right, incorporating the thoughts and fear that drive the compulsions and not just making it about "organizing" or "cleaning" like so many depictions of it do. (I have OCD, and it's way, way more complicated and debilitating than TV and movies make it seem.)

It kind of reminds me of the name of a comic book series I once heard about: “I have no mouth, and I must scream”

Maybe DID (dissociative identity disorder) could make an interesting sculpture? Maybe a figure who has two faces, one on the front and one on the back, both looking completely different from each other like they aren’t supposed to share a body. Or multiple heads with different characteristics? Or it wears a shape shifting mask?
This is a spot on interpretation of anxiety in my book, beautiful work!
I swear on my life I drew this (almost) exact character about a year ago in my sketchbook. I was feeling overwhelmed with anxiety and depression and was trying to express how I felt. Mind blown 🤯
Never before have I desired so badly to hug someone who absolutely should not be hugged.
As someone who suffers from anxiety and get random panic attacks, this is incredible to see. Even though it’s controlled and I take medicine to keep my anxiety at bay, I still get random attacks at night especially if I drink soda before bed. The feeling of dread looks so real on him and it just fits so well
I'm in a similar place, crippling anxiety and medicated for it, but even with all the meds and therapy (and melatonin to sleep), I'm still often up at night from attacks. I'm certain I've looked like this sculpt before, and probably will again haha. Hope things look up for us both mental health wise tho
Glad you guys found medications that work for you. I was on Ativan for about 7 years (despite it being recommended for 2-4 weeks maximum) and it really messed me up. I tapered off of it over 5 years ago and I still have terrible symptoms from the withdrawal.

When you described the bottom part as ”Alien-skin-like-texture” all I could think of was ”that’s the texture of a ball sack…” 🤷♀️ HOWEVER, lovely work!!!

As someone who suffers from Anxiety, I really love this sculpt. I also envision an internal rage character. Flushed, confused, disoriented.

Reminded me alot of those who suffer from aspergers, or other forms of autism.
Time rules them , to the point of anxiety which goes through the roof.

My favourite sculpture of your’s yet. I struggle with anxiety and depression everyday and deal with intrusive and suicidal thoughts. So I very much relate to these sculptures you have representing mental illnesses
This series is breaking my heart! I just want to hug them and help them. I live with both depression and anxiety myself (along with other mental stuff) and I feel so much empathy for them. Thank you for making this, they are perfect!
I am absolutely amazed of the Mental health representation! It means so much to see an actual physical embodiment of what people deal with every day. I'm wondering what the next Mental Health embodiment will be
😔Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder that often develops after one or more panic attacks.
Symptoms include fear and avoidance of places and situations that might cause feelings of panic, entrapment, helplessness, or embarrassment.
Treatments include talk therapy and medication.
I haven't left the house since 2006. The last two pieces you've done have really spoken to me. Most people think that Agoraphobia is a fear of crowds. With me though, its a fear of people in general. All my Dr. appointments are done in my apartment. Including x-rays and big equipment, unless its an emergency. An emergency is the only thing that gets me out. Thank you for sharing your art with me. Also, I received my pack of cards!!
i feel there is no way to help angor himself, he is simply a manifestation of an illness.. but maybe we can help angor in a different sense- if you help those around you with their anxiety, if you help others soothe and calm. maybe angor can feel that, and feel some relief for a bit.

Someone probably already commented this, but i love how he's name is similar (whether on purpose or not) to "Anchor" to symbolize how anxiety can keep you rooted in place and stop you from trying/enjoying new things.

As you're sculpting and describing the reasoning for his elements, it feels like perfect representation of the hell that is anxiety. I appreciate that he doesn't have a mouth too. It's a great metaphor for when I'm having a panic attack and feel like I desperately need to scream or I'll suffocate, but I can't make myself do much more than hyperventilate and try to work through that awful "hopeless and trapped" feeling. (Anxiety is an irrational a-hole, ain't it?) Your anxiety is spot-on for my experiences.

I could see all of the emotions and feelings and disability’s being added to the mutant universe but they are the good guys of that universe

Watching The Wanderers being sculpted just hits differently than the others. Their thoughts and emotions are very real in our realm.
Their thoughts and emotions hit close to home and seeing them completed at the end was terrifying!

As someone who suffers from anxiety (social as well) this sculpture really resonates and depicts what anxiety feels like, specifically what it feels like for me. Just wow.
I have anxiety and I thought this creation was so creative encapsulates anxiety very well.
I love Angor and I totally relate to him as I suffer from moderate anxiety and depression disorders. Angor is so unique and he really seems to define anxiety.
I have DID, PTSD, anxiety disorder, and major depressive disorder...it's nice to see someone take such care and attention to bring some of that to a beautiful artform. I love your work, but this series definitely hits home for me! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing art!

i have chronic anxiety and when i first saw it i was like that doesn’t describe how i feel with my anxiety but then i remember everyone’s anxiety is different
He reminds me of Munich’s ‘The Scream’ and, as someone who also suffers from anxiety, you have been devoting so much thought into these designs. I got chills when I saw the final product!

I have suffered from anxiety my entire life and this sculpture speaks to me
definitely a character that looks terrifying in a way.
Angor looks like a video game boss from the result of Psychonauts and Omori having a baby, and I honestly kind of love it. As someone who has anxiety myself, I can say he's a very well-done embodiment on top of being just my type of horror character design. I'd give him a hug if I wasn't worried doing so would send him into stress-induced shock. Maybe some warm tea would help?

I was recently diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and just wanted to say "you nailed it bro!" Glad to see the demon that has been plaguing me all these years.
Next you should do Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, as they often work in teams to plague the Generalized Anxiety Disorder victims.

Seeing that large clock Angor has makes me think of my timer anxiety. My timer anxiety makes me not handle time limits well. Like I'll be taking a test and the teacher will say how much time we have left, and then I start to panic. I absolutely hate it when people voice time limits which makes me panic and dread finishing on time. Nice job depicting anxiety! I love that the clock is still going.

hey ace, I was thinking of a new guide. fryea the harpy guide. she is 15 and was targeted by the presence, but it was at a moment of weakness in her life. she pulled out because of the knowledge that her loved ones needed her. she was left with bird back legs replacing her own and large bird wing so she can carry herself and another into the sky, making herself large to carry them on her back . she now wears a cloak and stays in the forest. fryea barely talks but what she does say is a comforting song. you can make up the rest if you want😅
Love it! The only thing I would do different would be put the chain for the clock around his neck symbolizing the feeling of feeling strangled or not being able to catch your breathe when in a panic attack.

You should make a character that is all about trauma. It’s body could be all shriveled up and it’s head has one giant eye. It’s hands and arms are trying to cover his eyes but it can’t do to the fact that his hands and arms a see through, showing that he can’t unsee what he has seen, aka trauma.

It's slowly getting better, though.
I like the idea of this sculpture and how tied down he is by the clock, even though I personally always make my anxiety a tentacle monster that just latches onto someone's back, whispering things to them, while holding them back...

I really like this take on anxiety disorder, I really connect with it. I’m currently unable to sleep at night until the morning when I pass out from exhaustion. There’s absolutely no reason I can tell for this anxiety but it’s here and I’m rooted.
