What’s strange is that I find her face almost kind. She’s nearly smiling and gentle, like she speaks sweetly to her monstrous children as she bids them to complete monstrous tasks

If she covered up all of the other faces, you could almost mistake her for that creepy but kind elderly character you get in cartoons. Except this one would pull down the hood and something would jump out of her skull and eat you.

:) Little idea for an origin story: The Mother. She was originally a human and a mother. Her ex-husband was abusive and hurt her everyday, causing her to entirely neglect herself and only care for the children. When her husband left, she stoooed caring about the children as well. She went into the woods everyday and stayed for hours to stay away from her home. When she cane home one evening her children were fighting and she had had enough. She hit the eldest one causing them to fall to the ground in tears. Realising she had turned into her husband she ran into her room crying. Days past and no one said a word. Soon enough the eldest child commited suicide and left a note apologizing to their mother. In anger and sorrow she beat the youngest child with s blunt object til he died. Not wanting to go to jail she ran into the woods. She began to miss her children and became obssesed with getting them back. She drug their bodies out into the woods and slept next to them every night. It became phycotic how obsessed she was with the corpses. She would make them food, even though they were uncapable of eating. She would tuck them in, even though they were incapable of sleeping. She talked to them. Eventually the "Entity" came to her and told her that for a small price she could get her children back, and more. Obviously she accepted. Her eyes faded white. Faces and features started stretching through her skin and she fell back. Demons nightmares and monsters started paranormaly being released from her body. It was pain, as she was still alive and human. She leaned against a tree and moaned out of pain. The Entity, knowing she would die and be useless if not helped, merged her with the tree she was leaned againt so she was no longer human. She fumbled out of the woods and up to a nearby road. Still partially concious she used her little time left with a natural thiught process to birth her son (The Farmer). :)
(Side note: I feel like itd be cool if The Farmer was the only one that wouldnt die after finishing his task because she still cares for him)
(Other side note: I feel like her demons would be images of her troubles? Like The Farmer was her son so maybe something about her abusive husband?)
(Abusive husband side note: My opinion on the next mutant: Her abusive husband. Hes a tall muscular man with ehort brown hair that reaches just above his ears. The way he would abuse her was to grab her wrists and throw her into a hit stove, so maybe burned up and red marks on his wrist, or just the bones of his hands/wrists.)

She would fit into the game so well. You are walking in the pale city and the next area is “The Mansion” which is The Mother’s home. I can imagine you running from her in the dark, trying to hide. Her children will help her find you, there will be a part where she gives a command to one of her children to find you. You walk under tables in the dining room and she looks around for you. I can imagine one of her children seeing you and screaming demonically to alert The Mother. It would be such a good part of the game.

You really have to respect and admire a man that says " I know every character is my favorite character, but or is" that is love and r expect to your own creations and showed that you truly love what you do. Not many of its can say that. Hats off to you Sir Ace
I really like how she looks like both a tree and some sort of mushroom. She's absolutely my favorite design, but I also really love The Photographer since he has another head. You get a good feel of his character being able to see him plainly and then when he goes to attack.

She's the freakiest by far. And what my brain began to think is that "the signal tower" monster in Little Nightmares 2, is either a demonic entity from within The Mother or the innards of The Mother herself. It gathers the life force and bodies of living people in order to grow the monsters The Mother gives birth to.

don't worry i think you should try it anyway!! you know the talent is not so important as the effort and work soooooo go ahead!! it may be difficult in the beginning but it will get better over time so don't give up

No one has the talent for it from the very beginning time and practice and you will get better each sculpt. Go online grab a sculpt tool set get some sculpy medium (my favorite outside of cosclay ) Watch old ace videos and pick one and follow the video. You can also check out Cnotbusch he makes amazing sculpts over on twitch and he also has tutorials and will answer questions and show you how to do things on stream. But you can't learn if you don't start
Neither do I it made me want to start this hobby to and now in trying it. His videos got me in the mood to try it. Watching videos online how they do the eyes, nose and all. It helps I say try it. Just confused with what ultra light clay and sculpt original is used for. Like howndo you know when to use it.
@@joshualynch90 so he uses sculpy ultra light to bulk his forms out and then uses sculpy original for the rest I don't like sculpy ultra light so I just do foil and a layer of sculpy medium or cosclay and bake it then do the rest on top of that. If you look at his older videos he goes into more of that process he also has a Facebook page that is helpful
Had a similar idea for a character called The Babysitter/The Nanny. The difference was that if she saw you she would grab you and basically make you merge into her body with all the other children she caught
i feel like the little nightmares universe is so successful because they are humanoid figures, i feel like this series is drifting further away from the little nightmares realm we all know and love.
you CLEARLY have not seen or played the sequel
At the same time though originality is key, maybe these other monsters may be better... it's all about testing the boundary waters of the universe and learning what fits and what doesn't the only reason why this point you are making is well- because the creators have not made any monster that doesn't look humanoid, we have seen the signal tower deform people in horrible ways the only monster being notable that's not humanoid being the mound of flesh that makes up the signal tower.
Long paragraph short, lets just give it a chance- lol. If he feels like it doesn't fit its his choice to go back but always remember these are his creations and not ours. It's his choice how he takes his little nightmares universe of monsters.

I really like these female characters you are doing. She looks like “Grandmother Willow” gone horribly wrong. A little old lady with a truly bad hair day and a stunning dress! Honestly though I do love her.

She's great, the texture really is impeccable in this one. I also love how the creepy souls almost look like hair rollers? Like creepy grandma's getting a perm.
I've been watching this series for a while now, and it's gotten me thinking about other mutants and stuff and what if there was one called something like "the caretaker" or something of that sort? I was thinking about a certain scp that was like- a child and stuff, right? How the child pretty much forces the person they're around to take care of them until they die from starvation, etc. I have no clue what exactly someone could do with only a name to go off of, but I feel like people would have some good ideas!

Theoretically this character should be terrifying, but all I can think when I see her is just "Mood."

Her face reminds me of Evelyn from Resident Evil 7
The faces on her back remind me of the wall of flesh from Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion
All in all, Incredible creature
The way she's sculpted with all the wrinkles and stuff reminds me of an old tree, which goes hand in hand with the common "tree of life" stories and the fact that she gives life to all these mutants

I think that there is a plot hole in the mothers story because if the creatures die once they complete a task and as you said they requier a peice of her soul would she end up souless after enough children have been birthed and she herself would just die?

The Mother is super cool. Before I watched the video- the thumbnail led me to believe she was something completely different, and my imagination ran wild, and now I have this whole idea for my very own O.C.!
So now I'm totally inspired!- idk what to call it yet- but I've already got 90% of it's backstory, appearance, where & how it kills, and all the other fun details!
The other mutants from this series are very Tim Burton-esque. I love this sculpturethough, it's uniquely yours and only shows the faintest hints of the inspiration of Nightmare Before Xmas in the souls' faces. It does not make me think of Little Nightmares though. Overall, this one is phenomenal!
