  • People often ask - which blood pressure reading is more important? The top one - systolic or the bottom one - diastolic. In this video we have a quick look at what they mean and which one would be more concerning if they were raised.
Your blood pressure is measured in millimetres of mercury (mmHg) and is given as two figures:
    - systolic pressure - the pressure when your heart pushes blood out / when the heart is pumping (this is usually the first and higher number)
    - diastolic pressure - the pressure when your heart rests between beats / when the heart relaxes (this is the second number and lower one)
As doctors we know that people can have different types of high blood pressure (hypertension); for some, it may mean only their bottom number is consistently raised. For others, it means their systolic blood pressure is always raised. We'll look at what the studies show about your risk and what other factors can increase your chance of a heart attack or stroke.

      Hi Dr Khalid from
      New Zealand.
Has there been any evidence to suggest that an unborn baby can develop asthma in life after the pregnant Mum had the Phizer vaccination ?

It didn't used to be that way in the US. It was like the UK measure you showed, but the US changed it because, in my opinion, so they could more of us on BP meds. I don't trust the US medical establishment anymore! Wish you could be my doctor!

I have periodic blood pressure spikes they usually happen suddenly and last anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour.
The most recent Spike I had was when I was getting ready for bed. I got very cold so I added a blanket onto my bed I felt a little bit warmer so I went to sleep 30 minutes later I woke up with my heart racing and beating a regular and my blood pressure went up to close to 200 over
    120.
    My pulse was 155
During this time. I started to shake very much.
As the symptoms subsided which was within 10 minutes of it reaching its climax,.. I said a prayer which I usually do,.. when I went back to bed 20 minutes later my blood pressure was 133 over 77. This all happened in about 1 hours time.
This isn't the first time that this has happened, it happens occasionally, sometimes my body will go as much as 6 months without having a spike.
Although I must say I had one about a month ago, and before that I had one about two months before that, 🤔 So they are getting more often.😢
I have traditionally been a person for natural medicine and not Western medicine. I have already suffered through three major surgeries. And I really don't want to have any more of those.
Currently my list of parts removed is my tonsils, my spleen and gallbladder, all of my female parts😊
So you can see I don't really want any more big procedures happening.
I eat whole food as often as possible, trying to stay away from processed foods. I have started doing walking and stretch band strength training exercises every other day, about 2 weeks ago.
IF you or anyone in the comments section has any good advice, I would certainly be interested in taking it under consideration.🎉❤

Thank you Dr Khalid for this video. I just wish my doctors will understand me. At home I always have a perfect reading from 90 to 113 sys and 66 to 73 dias. I usually have 150/100 in the hospital, I even took my monitor to the hospital but I was still placed on meds. I do have anxiety and panic attack when I visit hospital. Even at home if the anxiety strikes in , my BP can be high so I avoid taking it when I am anxious

Most welcome, some people can have something called 'white coat syndrome' where they BP goes up in hospital and clinical settings

Actually 1:41 ..I have crazy numbers especially after my surgeries, it can low as for 40/15..to 50/25 etc..drs would be baffled but not taking it that seriously actually just IV..then never look at why it's so low I'm normally 80/55 ..90/60.. with symptoms..I have many conditions too congenital hydrocephalus, epilepsy, general dystonia, severe dysphonia, dysphagia, migraines with aura, occipital neuralgia, Hypoxia , cataxia,....and now a possible heart problem Tachycardia.
My neurologist suspects MiTo MNGIE...but what's the point of testing if there is no cure to anything that I know..just to get aggressive biopsies and get an extra diagnosis that is incurable 😢

But Jills pulse point is just 24... That is not a bad thing.
And the newest thinking is that cholesterol is not the indicator of heart attack and stroke anymore.
In fact if your cholesterol gets too low you can have a heart attack or stroke. In fact the newest information from Dr David Williams at Healthy Directions and also Dr Eric Berg who has 10 million subscribers on youtube says that as you get older you need more cholesterol to protect all your organs and do all the work it's supposed to do.
I am overweight and I do have blood pressure spikes at times, as I put in my other comment. But I do not think that that is why my spikes are happening..
I understand you cannot diagnose me over the internet. But I just thought maybe a little bit of advice on what to do that isn't going to have to include having my chest opened for some type of heart procedure.😮 I am into natural medicine and want to find a natural cure.
Do I need to go somewhere else for that?

P.S. "Dr David Williams Healthy Directions" has advice about blood pressure. He says that more important than systolic and diastolic is your pulse point number. And he says 40 is the healthy top of that number.
He said what you do is I take 120 / 80 and go from 120 down to 100 and then from 80 up to 100 and what is that number, that is 40 that is a good pulse point
When my blood pressure was recently 177 / 117 recently my pulse point would have been 94
😮😮😮😮😢 That is a very bad pulse point and probably a stroke looking for a place to happen. 🫣😬🤔😏🫠🥹🥴
