Gasket matching the intake is usually worth doing at a minimum as actual porting can be time consuming and not pay off much if your overall combo of heads, cam, and intake are not matched up correctly. Swirl ports are already designed to improve air charging into the cylinder head and modifying it could negatively impact it's process of moving air appropriately. Good luck with your build!👍

All of my classic cars are used for racing. This is on my 1990 C4 Corvette that has a 406 Dart small block with lunati roller cam that with me in it and a full tank if gas weighing 3,500 pounds (22 gallons of gas) to drive to the drag strip runs 11.50s in quarter mile. It dyno'd at 457 HP with edelbrock RPM heads and will be getting AFR 227 heads this year to increase the top end. It's definitely the correct intake. Thanks for watching! 👍
@@djrowe10 Sounds like a fun car. I have a sbc 400 that i just put a gasket matched holley 300-25 on. I took off an rpm air gap and am going to attempt to gasket match that one myself so your video has been helpful.

Single plane is it just a strip car if not you chose the wrong intake
