  • I do a reading of the book (vol 1) of the visions of Anne Catherine Emmerich (German mystic from the early 1800s, known for her visions, the stigmata, and dwelling solely on the Eucharist for over a decade)
I confess: some of the paragraphs near the beginning, I struggled to get into a reading rhythm... I'm obviously not a professional at this but I'm recognizing my faults and improving myself... I don't really have a voice for narration anyway (hypothyroid problem causes my voice to break), and I'm dopey and nasal in the first place...
But I'm human and know how to intonate and emphasize, unlike AI. I just hope someone does this and does it better than I do!
So far... what I heard of other human narrations weren't any better than mine. Seriously, if you're a talented narrator, consider bringing Mystical City of God and the Visions of Anne Catherine Emmerich to life!
Passion of the Christ were basically based off her visions btw.
Anyway, in this video, she contests with her scribe, "the pilgrim", Brentano, who was rogue Christian or Protestant... and when she wanted to avoid conflict, her spirit guide (guardian angel) exhorts her to be more desperate on the situation. What you'll notice is that there is no ecumenism here... there's universal truth, and people who live on the inside (the Catholics) and the outside of it (everyone else)

Protestant Church - Modern heresy and invention of Luther and others. No Christian held to protestant doctrines ever within the history of the church untill the 1500s and has led to 30'00 denominations a most grievous wound to the mystical body of Christ.

@@robdee81 Absolutely wrong. Several real Christian sects existed long before Luther. Of course they were persecuted by the RCC. These groups included the Waldensians (1140-1218), John Wycliffe (1320-1384), Jan Hus (1369-1415) and others.

@@johnbrowne2170 First of all, there have always been heretics since day one, and heretics are outside the Church by definition. Their doctrines vary widely. So the term you used, "real Christian sects," is quite meaningless since they all reject key doctrines of Christianity while promoting their own false doctrines.
If you want to call the Waldensians proto-Protestant, fine, but they are not Protestants. Protestantism is historically and theologically defined as a 16th century movement with a particular set of non-Catholic doctrines promoted largely by Luther and Calvin.
In any case, you have a very serious problem in referring to the Church as "Satan's masterpiece." This sort of anti-Catholic bigotry is extremely dangerous to your soul as it is akin to blaspheming the Holy Spirit, calling good evil and evil good. Try taking a more balanced approach.

@@MillionthUsername First of all I'm a Baptist and we are not Protestants because we were never part of the RCC. Secondly, rejecting RCC doctrines does not make anyone a heretic. Thirdly, the Holy Spirit has nothing to do with the RCC. Fourthly, I thought the RCC killed all the heretics.
