    I'm in bed watching this election video. I can't even get dinner because I'm too frozen. I'm trying to calm down.

    Another important factor would probably be loss of jobs and insatistafaction with crime and illegal immigrants. Building a wall, or, placing a strong boundary in order to protect the American laws sure sounded like great idea to many...
    Not to mention cheaper goods that were introduced in market instead of American ones, so, his ideas were not completely ungrounded in reality or had bad intentions.
    But he sure lacks political skills and other skills for this enormous and difficult task

      If I had to vote, I would vote for Camala, however, I would vote even more for picking of the most skillful candidates for the job of being a president.
      I would hate to choose between two evils, I would like to choose between two bests

      These choice between two evils can one day potentially become: should I vote for new Hitler or new Stalin?

      Currently rereading Maugham's Painted Veil, and it is awful how ending removed the added value that this work could have. It could have been magnificient, character portrayal and dynamics are brilliant, just as flow and themes that occur underneath, but ending is completely bad.
      Shame, and the bigger shame is that I type this conclusion after many years of publications of his work, just as it is case with some newer works...
      Christmas Carol is definitely next, with questions of overpopulation and purposefulness of charities

      Trump showed his political skill in his first term and was one of the most successful presidents of the last 100 years

      @@YesNo-su6ig Obviously, a part of American public was deeply unsatisfied, and he certainly lacked experience. The best thing would probably be to look for the evidence, instead of following opinions.
      I am glad if he was and hope that he will be even better in this term.

      Perhaps you should read a dictionary. We aren't calling him a Nazi. Definitions of fascism vary greatly but under many Trump could very well be called one. Still, I don't think it's a useful term since it is so loosely defined.

      @@zacharyledford2785 No the term ISN'T loosely defined, a fascist is someone who forcefully oppresses political opponents..... FORCEFULLY OPPRESSES, if Trump was a fascist there wouldn't have been a 2020 election. This doomsday talk as if a fascist authoritarian dictator is in power is crazy. 4 Years will go by, foreign affairs and immigration will be better than ever and then boom, in 2028 someone else will be elected.

    Not really here to argue or anything like that. Just trying to be intellectually honest. But Harris is part of an administration that is actively enabling, funding, defending, and ensuring the carrying out of an ethnic cleansing campaign and mass starvation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The worst crime that a government, let alone a politician, can possibly do-is enable genocide. The systematic slaughter of innocent people based on their ethnicity, religion, race, or nationality is the worst possible crime that a human being or a government can possibly participate in. The use of inhumane and criminal tactics like biological warfare (disease, leaving bodies to rot in the rubble), systematic targeting of children and non-combatants, the devastation of critical infrastructure like residential housing, water supplies, hospitals, roads, schools…for crying out loud. This is not an endorsement for Donald Trump but rather an indictment of the US political system that carries out its militaristic agenda regardless of who holds power. I think it’s important to take these experiences and these lessons from history and reintegrate them into your analysis. Harris is more than a flawed politician-but a cog in a machine that mass produces death. You can’t call on the architects of a genocide to end a genocide-it doesn’t make rational sense. The Biden/Harris administration has demonstrated time and time again its total and complete commitment to doing everything in its power to actualize Israel’s genocidal agenda. If you can’t understand why people object to that, or if you can’t account for that contradiction yourself, I think that we’re engaging in a kind of mass cult-like delusion.

    • @zacharyledford2785
      @zacharyledford2785 Місяць тому +1

      You are right, but the unfortunate truth is that both candidates are pro-Israel, and this genocide will continue under either. How bad Trump will be remains to be seen, but I suspect he will be even worse than Biden for Palestine since he's best buddies with Netanyahu and has shown himself to be quite Islamophobic in the past, despite his contrived recent attempts to win them over in the states.

    • @JoeSpivey02
      @JoeSpivey02  Місяць тому +3

      Thank you for your considerate and passionate comment. I don't deny that Harris and Biden have a horrendous record in Gaza, but any notion that Trump will somehow pull the brakes on such ethnic cleansing is madness.

    • @kempiskindofabigdeal
      @kempiskindofabigdeal Місяць тому

      @ yes I don’t think Trump is a reliable guy to “pump the brakes” or anything like that of course. Obviously he is a warmonger and a racist and a Zionist as well-however for the same reasons that he is disqualified in our minds to get our votes, I feel as though Harris/biden have done equally as heinous things to warrant the disregarding of them as legitimate candidates. I think when the electoral system props up two parties who both are vetted and chosen by AIPAC and the Israel Lobby, it’s hard to really have a genuine conversation about which one is worse or better. AIPAC sets the agenda, and that’s why abandoning liberalism and building power in mass movements to develop and incubate our own parties and our own survival programs and our own institutions is what we should spend our time on. I think delegitimizing candidates who mandate genocide will always be something that we must be called to do, even when it’s difficult or comes with contradictions. The intellectually honest truth is that for all of modern US history both parties have oversaw mass murder abroad and that building some alternatives to this state apparatus is the project we should invest in.
