check out mourning palace live, it is freaking amazing, they play with a full orchestra and even the guys in it put face paint on and headbang along lol
Your pronounciation of Dimmu Borgir is as close as it gets without it being your native language (roll the r's), well done! You also said Jessheim correctly. I'd also like to suggest you check out the band Orbit Culture from Sweden with their song The Shadowing.
Listen to this the last time a few years ago, almost forgot how good it is ! Hopefully Dimmu Borgir will record a new album soon, it's 6 years ago so defenitely about time 🤘🤘🤘
I enjoyed this reaction. I like that you’ll listen without prejudice and just stick with what you like, regardless of genre. If this band sounds great, the singer makes you react or the lyrics are cool, you’ll enjoy it. I like that. To me this is the main core value of a reaction channel - that the reactor listens to music with a perspective of artistic interpretation, freedom of thought and a willingness for adventure - in short, a sportiness for the unexpected and a daring and fun way of going along for the ride. I like that when you enjoy it, you just react honestly - and you’re willing to say that you enjoy it - and why. A big part of music is performance - and I personally like it when they’re expressing how much they enjoy performing it. Enjoyment, happiness, fun, bliss, mirth, interest, learning - this whole idea of positivity is a core part of music - and rings true especially for anyone who studies things related directly to the origins of music. i think their album eonian(wolves and snakes is on it) would be among the best as an intro, recent, highly polished, creative, though there are other albums you'll get a kick out of. 'gateways' is a song that's pretty commonly reacted to, pretty good but not quite in their niche, like iwmfly by kiss, disco's not really their thing, but they did well. for song and video, i'd say sacriligeous scorn is pretty meaty, really worth a watchnlisten.
Could you do a reaction to the Progenies of the great apocalypse official video? That was the first i heard from them. Liked it and have been listening their music since. Some 20 years now.
Saw them live at Wacken (Germany). They opened with 'WACKEN ARE YOU READY FOR A LESSON IN VIOLENCE??' before the first note hit. Damn that was awesome and we where ready, lol. Even though I dont understand it I prefer their native language songs. Albums like Stormblast and For all Tid from their early days do have the best ones. From later 'In sorte Diaboli' is an amazing concept album about a priest walking away from his faith. Sadly on that album the clean vocals are sometimes shit and take songs from amazing to good. Must admit that I havent realy checked their last 2 studioalbums. Got a bit to clean for my liking, but the current cover album from bands they got inspired by has some nice old vibe. So fingers crossed they go back more to their roots Hope you also will check out the'Gateways' (live version) clip and the meaning should be obvious :)
Welcome to the world of Dimmu Borgir! They are my favourite band togeher with Sabaton 🤘 I find their last album, EONIAN, just amazing. It is written to be listened to from start to end, and in all of the songs you will have parts with choir and orchestra. If you like to see a live performance, I can recommend Gateways from their show in Oslo, Forces of the Northern Night ua-cam.com/video/XGoak4ISCPU/v-deo.html On this song, they also have a guest vocalist, Agnete Kjølsrud from the band Djerv.
i put this to my playlist right now. I like wen people discover metal for the first time and the was flashed. I listen to this music for over 30years ;) Welcome to our wordl! ;D Greetings from germany.
I'm not a fan of live performances, but their live video of their song 'Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse' is beyond outstanding. I'm subscribing in hope you do this track. You would not be disappointed :) lots of love, a gay UK metal fan xx
I remember the first Dimmu song I ever heard, it was the live ozzfest performance of Kings of the Carnival Creation. I listened to it like 5 times in a row. Still one of the best songs I've ever heard.
I have a good recommendation, it's not about Dimmu Borgir's song it's about an Icelandic band called Skálmöld. I recommend you the song Loki in Opera version from Skálmöld og sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands. Really that you'll love it.
For me a general rule of thumb when it comes to lyrics of black metal bands is: just ignore them. Most of the time, it's just provocation. I also listen to stuff like Dissection even though I know that the singer was a convicted criminal. I personally just separate the music from the musicians. As far as recommendation goes: Check out Borknagar - Winter Thrice. It's a good blend between black metal and more beautiful parts. Hard to describe, but I think you'd like it.
This is not the typical Black metal .. amm.. Dimmu Borgir Is a greatest symphonic black metal band ... I'd recommend Satyricon Mother North official video .. is a cult Black Metal
The old stuff is what you should listen too if you like the Indie bands. Stormblåst and for al tid is real black metal albums. This "new" album is just not good to be honest. They like to experiment, but went to far this time. I have heard the songs here on UA-cam, but it's the first album i will not spend money on from them. I hope this is a one time thing, and they will get back to the old style again.
I used to be an absolute massive massive MASSIVE DIMMU BORGIR fan... but for me their music style and sound really changed and not for the better for me after ICS Vortex and Mustis left the band, and now I barely even listen to them, and even when I do it's only their early stuff. I suppose it's true when people say all great things come to an end sometime.
@@intjreacts Everything from their first album For All Tid to Death Cult Armageddon, and you'll be surprised how different and much better they were back then compared to now. 😎👍

Or Gateways live from Oslo. Very good Pro quality
I agree! They were in El Salvador for first time in 2012. It was just magistral 👌🏻

omg thank you; you understand
This band is one of those that you can put on EVERY SINGLE ALBUM and listen from start to finish and only hear greatness!
