I'll just be the first to say what 20 people would say: the live in-studio one-take is the best version of this song. For some reason on the album, at the end, they use a mix of the higher clean on top of of the scream. But live, it's scream, clean, scream, clean that is just way better. As for it being progressive, they do have some prog metal songs, but this isn't one of them.
@@rickpearson7943 You clowns are tone deaf if you think her one take video is better than the studio version. It's just a fact. It amazes me that I keep hearing this nonsense. ALWAYS REACT TO THE STUDIO VERSION FIRST. THE STUDIO VERSION IS THE FINAL PRODUCT THAT THE ARTIST WANTS THE MUSIC TO SOUND. You quite clearly are not well versed in music.
How are we defining "progressive" here? The switch between clean and harsh vocals? That's really just a staple of modern metalcore in general, rather than an indication of "progressive" metal.
@@intjreacts Not sure what term you're looking for to describe this one then, but progressive isn't it. This is probably about as generic and "radio friendly" as metalcore gets.
@@intjreacts I dont think theres really a standard for when it is an album vs when it is an EP but id say usually 3-6 songs is an EP and more than that is an album, but some bands release EPs that are more songs than that, really just up to the band to decide
Yes, an EP is half an album (or less), both by time and by number of tracks. So, 3 to 6 tracks, 10 to 25 minutes. One of Spiritbox's EPs (Rotoscope) has only 3 tracks, and people felt shortchanged.
if you want songs less "progressive" from spiritbox, try Cellar Door, Silk in the Strings or Holy Roller. But not gonna lie, Im more into this side of spiritbox where Courtney the singer balance cleans and screaming, I do like progressive metal 😅
They have many sides but their main thing is probably what you dont like which is screams and singing in the same track. My favorite from them is all singing, “secret garden”, maybe you will like it (from INTJ to INTj 😉)
I think you should check out the songs 'Belcarra' or 'Bleach Bath', it's two of their earliest releases. I discovered both Spiritbox and Jinjer through UA-cam during the pandemic. Jinjer has since become one of my favourite bands of all time! And I'm almost 50 and not even a typical "metal head" and has historically been way more into electronic music. Which is funny because Jinjer has almost zero electronic music elements in their music while Spiritbox has a lot. So one would think that I logically should prefer Spiritbox 😄 That said, I do like Spiritbox quite a lot but got a little dissapointed with their progression musically, whereas Jinjer so far keep getting more and more exciting through their carrier in my opinion.
Oooh I haven't been recommended those songs before Have you listened to the album "Sundowning" by Sleep Token? It was giving off some electronic vibes when I listened to it on my Patreon
The bassist in this video, who left the band a year-ish ago just passed away the other week :( RIP Bill
oh no :(
Spiritbox and Tati from Jinjer singing this song LIVE,you need to see it 100%
I'm going to do a reaction to that soon!
Spiritbox - Circle With Me ft. Tatiana, you won’t be disappointed! Epic. Historic. Important. ✌️
oh yeah definitely on my list of reactions!
This song with Tati from Jinjer is epic...
Worth to watch it 😊
Coming soon :)
Holy Roller, Cellar Door and Angel Eyes are their heaviest and best with no cleans all growls
oooooh nice, haven't been recommended the last 2 before

So this isn't the best version of this song?
@intjreacts nope. Her vocals on this are better in the one-take video...and her live performance of this song is the same as the one-take.

Nope@@intjreacts

Nah it's the overall sound

Courtney is one of the best. I wrestled a bear once... Such a funny yet seriously good band
You know, I've seen iwrestledabearonce on a lot of festival flyers but never listened to them
Maybe it's time lol
extended plays are basicially just shorter albums, usually they are abreviated to just EP as well
ooooh so an album is 12 songs but an EP is less than that? or is it by minutes?

Their first EP (Spiritbox) has 7 tracks and 29 minutes -- displaying a tendency to break rules 😉
you need to watch the live version from Louder Than Life 2024
Thanks for the rec!
You should watch the one-take video of this song
I didn't know they had one

Courtneys 1 take vocal video is a better version of this song. Still my favorite song from them.
Maybe I should do a reaction to that video too
@@intjreacts I think it's a better version personally
Holy Roller or Cellar Door would be my recommendations
I think I'm going to react to Holy Roller next
you would dig their songs 'Constance' and 'too close too late' for more of their softer sounds
I prefer harder sounds :D
Try Jaded from spiritbox (Grammy nomination for best metal performance 2023)
ooooh a grammy nomination? I'm in
prograssive metal ? nah djent sure. Meshuggah's progressive opeth is progressive this is somewhere between djent and metal core
Djent? What the heck is that
What about this is progressive?
this is their least progressive song lol
@@THE_RYANNno u
The djenty riffs maybe? Doesn't fit the part of the song she commented about it, though.
everything
if you dont like this kind of music then dont listen to it....expand your mind
You literally told me to be closed minded then said expand your mind wtf
anyways, my feb 9th video is going to confuse you so hard
Watch the video Holly Roller. There is nothing progressive about that.
It's definitely on the list!

This is one of their most popular songs, but yeah, it's always been one of their "mid" songs for me.
Yeah I thought it would be more impactful since it's their most popular song but I guess not :/
For me Circle with me is some kind of boring. Hurt You and Holly Roller are cool, but they are best live I think.
I think I might try Holy Roller next & give them one more shot
@@intjreacts Maby they Just aint for you? I Just love the combination between harsh and clean vokal and heavy and melodick sound.
If you think this is progressive metal, you have no idea what you are you talking about.
sweet
I think she's just using it as a term of abuse.
