Well done on getting up! We did Scafell Pike in September last year for our wedding anniversary! Gorgeous weather to begin with and then fog/rain at the top :D Hoping to go back up in the nice weather sometime soon! New subbie here! My wife runs ultra marathons so i'm sure she will be interested too. She's doing the grand tour of skiddaw tomorrow! 48 miles including going up skiddaw! she's bonkers!
Woah congratulations! Yes I hope you have better weather too! We need a training program for an ultra we’d love to do one! Good luck on her race tomorrow!
Well done for climbing the tallest peak in England, I am heading there in a couple of weeks and wondering if trail trainers were okay during the climb???
Thank you, it was great fun! Yes trail trainers would be fine although when we were there it was after a day of heavy rainfall so was some running water down the main path at points but managed to stay dry in trainers!
Great video guys :). Out of interest, have you ever climbed Snowdon, and if so, how does it compare in terms of difficulty as we would love to do Scafell one day. The Lake District is one of our favourite places, and if you ever get to go to Lake Buttermere, highly recommend.
Thank you! Yes I did snowdon a couple years ago. Scafell is definitely a lot quicker and less distance. No real technical sections apart from the loose rocks at the top. Would definitely recommend and would say it’s easier than snowdon 😄 thank you, will hopefully check that one out soon!
Good video, but the name of the fell is pronounced 'Scaw-fell Pike' not Scar-fell. Many people make this mistake, but that's it proper name - it used to be spelt Scawfell on old ordinance survey maps, I'm not sure why the 'w' was dropped. Scawfell is how the locals pronounce it.
That was a lovely vlog and nice to see you both away. Really enjoying the channel
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for following us on our journey!

Great droning. Any heart in the mouth moments with it as it was quite windy up there?
As we were going down definitely! But went all okay in the end 😅
Good stuff. In my experience, the even the easiest way up Scafell Pike is more difficult than the easiest way up Snowdon or Ben Nevis.
And the Mickledore route isn’t the easiest.
It’s definitely not! But at least we tried it 😅
@@Raddysetgo !! By easiest I mean Glen Nevis tourist route. Snowdown Ranger and then Seathwaite via Sprinkling Tarn.
Well done difficult sometimes with the paths lovely views
Thank you. Definitely worth it for the views 🤩

Thank you! Oh very interesting! 🧐
@@Raddysetgo I used to live in Gosforth, and my bedroom window looked onto Scafell Pike
@@lakesandfells No way! That’s where we stayed on our holiday!
This is not a scramble,
On the way down on Mikeldore definitely but the normal way it’s not
Can anyone comment is it's much harder than Pen-y-ghent? Thanks.
I think it is
@@alanjackson2540 Yes. Steep and rocky towards and also rocky on top.
@@Bosscat86 thank you.
