    I love chipotle and was also trying to copycat their chicken. I found an ingredients list on their website! Everything you guys put on yours was listed, but the website list also had garlic, oregano, and honey. Just a tip for everyone!

    Elaine Kong this paticular video he's missing honey, garlic, onions, we use a special made adobe marinade containing 3 more kinds of peppers, and we don't add salt until we lay the chicken on the grill skin side down first l, then a thin even shake of salt and 6 min on each side, finished temp is 165°

    • @KaitlynPoling
      @KaitlynPoling 9 років тому

      ***** good question! I'm not sure but try it an keep an eye on your temp be the george will cook it faster, don't press don't to hard or you'll lose a lot a your juice

    • @antmexi1778
      @antmexi1778 9 років тому

      Kaitlyn Poling Thank you Kaitlyn, would you perhaps remember whether the lime juice is correct, and whether the cumin is toasted or not? Thx

    • @KaitlynPoling
      @KaitlynPoling 9 років тому +1

      Ant Mexi its a blend of lime and lemon, you'll just have to taste as you go, and do some math, our measurements in the restaurant are of course bigger! and no our cumin is not toaster, but just a pinch! don't forget to taste as you go! in the kitchen we call it line tasting! the two people in the back of the house are responsible for tasting everything before it goes on the line!

    • @antmexi1778
      @antmexi1778 9 років тому

      +Kaitlyn Poling Thanks, useful tips. My friend works at a Colorado branch. Dont they send you the adobo already made and that you guys dont make it there? Does the the barbacoa and carnitas come in frozen or chilled? Are you perhaps a KM?

    • @KaitlynPoling
      @KaitlynPoling 9 років тому

      Ant Mexi we used to get pre made adobo but my store is now making it fresh every day, its kind of a pain lol but its sooooooo good, everything comes chilled, we don't freeze anything, it takes away from the freshness, we get about 4 trucks a week with freshest ingredients. I'm higher then km

    It's both. It's similar to the type of chicken that is made at Chipotle and it uses chipotle peppers.

  • @NowLeavingNormal

    Chipotle chicken cooked on a grill is marinated in just adobo and salt, and for chicken cooked cooked on a plancha, add a little honey to the marinade.

    May I ask why you put the chicken in the oven instead of just grilling further? Yes it has less chance to burn/caramelize but if you use a stove top and just control the heat, and use thinner slices of chicken it has the same effect?
