Saying the Climate in Canada is harsh is like saying the climate in Europe is harsh. Canada is massive and there are many different climates, Vancouver has a mild climate and palm trees, Southern Ontario has relatively mild as well. Other parts of Canada have cold winters. Medication is also about 200% - 700% more expensive in the USA. I've lived in both countries and I much prefer Canada.
Climate in Canada is harsh with the exception of Vancouver. There are not that many places in Europe that get a winter like in Calgary or snow like in Montreal. There is no parts of Canada that has Mediterranean climate. And winters in pretty much every Canadian city are colder than in any European city. The only places which can (sometimes) compete with Canadian winter places in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Naturewise I think USA wins hands down. There are so many different landscapes - tropical beaches and forests, canyons, mountains, deserts and lakes, prairies, Mediterranean landscapes in Cali and so much more. Canada is a beautiful country but it can't compete with the states.

It is possible to get 'more for your money' here depending on where you chose to live but we don't have properly funded social programs like most first world nations. I thought Poroshenko along with the Americans created paradise for the population. Also there is no free healthcare in Canada. Your taxes pay for it as well as user fees. In Ontario there is specific amount you contribute to healthcare costs based on your income level and that’s on top of regular income taxes you pay.

It balances out, but as an American citizen I don't understand why people are scared of a one payer healthcare system. A lot of Americans are without healthcare and it's not cheap if you have employer based insurance.
About HC: Although HC in Canada is free, you have to wait for months to see a specialist. Correct me if I'm wrong. Deductibles here in New York highly depend on a plan. People earning less than US$ 24k a year im New York are eligible for free Fidelis Care insurance plans. No deductible, dental Care is in. Yes, if your earn like 80k for 2 persons it kind of sucks, cause insurance will cost you like $890 a month. Honestly it's up to you whether to get a brand-new iPhone or have a health insurance policy.
i'm sorry i don't agree. healthcare in canada is based on priority, depends on your illness. if you have a serious illness, doctor will see you immediately. my husband had a very serious illness few years ago (before i knew him), he needed neurosurgery. they helped him immediately. he paid nothing (checkups, MRIs, surgery are all free) except for his therapy (he couldn't walk or talk for 3 months after the surgery). forever he is grateful for canada healthcare. i'm not a big fan of canadian doctors, as i feel they are not as efficient as doctors in my country (i remember the first time i went to see a doctor in canada for my terrible cough, he didn't give me anything, only told me that it was only a common cold, i only needed to rest and drink tea with honey, and some other complaints, but it will be too long to type), but i have to admit, when it comes to serious illnesses, you will be very grateful that you live in canada.
US healthcare isn't the worse BUT I hate when I decide to leave an employer I lose my healthcare. I just resigned from a job and now I am without healthcare for 90 days until I'm eligible for it on my new job
Candian: My gas and groceries are expensive. American: I JUST SPEND $270 FOR A PHONE CONSULT WITH A DOCTOR FOR A REQUIRED SURGERY! ...and they can't even schedule for another four months, I contacted them over a year ago (before COVID). Had to pay another doctor $1300 to get the surgery done sooner. Insurance paid $38.00.
In the US you make more money , but you also spend a lot more on healthcare than Canadian taxes. Taxes in the US are slightly less than Canada, but healthcare is much more expensive. Cost of living varies highly. I live in Miami and the COL here is insane. Unlike more expensive regions like California, the wages here don’t match the cost of living. In the US, all major cities are very expensive. Only in smaller cities and the countryside is where it’s cheaper than Canada. As for the climate, the US has the whole South which is nicer, but the economic opportunity is also much less in the South. For me, Canada makes more sense although it has its drawbacks. The US is great if you make a lot of money already where your healthcare will be expensive but good.

I would much rather live in Canada, as I am now. It's a lot more cheaper & way more friendly. No offence but, I find quite a lot of Americans to be ignorant. But if I want to go to say, Yellowstone National Park, I can simply just go there and come back in a day or two. I don't see a problem to do with that.
I think Canadians can be quite ignorant too. I'm Canadian and hear them bashing Americans all the time. It's embarrassing. It doesn't get more ignorant than that when you put down an entire nation of people. No offense. I know you said "alot of" but still.
Yeah Americans may be harsh as you Canucks say but atleast we don't trash talk others countries especially relative countries ,I mean look at the relationship between UK, Australia,And NZ

@Goat Like You get what you pay for. Rather pay a bit more tax. Peace of mind
@Goat Like Quality of life is more important
@Goat Like Is wearing a bulletproof vest if i wish to venture out quality of life. Baltimore, Detroit, LA, the windy city etc. If thats so great it baffles me. You are very welcome
@Goat Like Agreed some of those cities are disasters. I feel sorry for the poor people. Problem is they can't afford to move even if they wanted to.If Dems get in, all bets are off, your beautiful Orlando will be overrun with illegals. I live in Vancouver Canada.
I plan on bringing my Dodge Demon also, since there are only 300 in Canada; I'll make it 301.
There are parts of America that look stunning. But for now, I'll stick with Canada.
Naturewise I think USA wins hands down. There are so many different landscapes - tropical beaches and forests, canyons, mountains, deserts and lakes, prairies, Mediterranean landscapes in Cali and so much more.
Canada is a beautiful country but it can't compete with the states.
Matthew Mckenna ok I guess. I’m American but I totally agree with the view part. Arizona and around the 4 corners are also stunning in the states.
Matthew Mckenna if you live in Canada, stay there. To emigrate to the USA. Cause if you come here, expect high financial bills, $2000 rides to the hospital if you call an ambulance. I just got out of a $3000 school debt. Stay in Canada, take this from a struggling American, with two jobs. I’m brown, so I’m discrimination against lots of times. If your black, my dude, prepare yourself for egregious and harsh discrimination.

I guess the best scenario is making money in the US but live in Canada?
I have a friend doing this
He teach in a university and lives in Canada. He just drive like 25 mins from his house to work in USA . Lucky him

Canada is the place to live a longer, safer, friendly, peaceful life. Life expectancy is a couple years more. It doesn’t really matter how much money you have here you can easily get support from other Canadians because everyone’s nice here! Canada has better education too. Higher average iq. USA is the place where you want to make money, if I had the choice I would make a crap ton of money in us then move to canada and possibly live the best life.
US you get 12 weeks off for FMLA. FMLA is for men and woman. A man can apply for it but it cannot be on the condition of paternity leave. However he can get FMLA.
I'm an American who is going to (attempt to) immigrate to Canada. It is possible to get 'more for your money' here depending on where you chose to live but we don't have properly funded social programs like most first world nations. Public education exists but has huge disparities between schools in the same districts, healthcare costs so much more but we are unhealthier and die sooner than many other first world nation citizens, our government is run by corporations and not by the people, ect.
Canada might not have everything figured out but I will gladly trade my life here for the unknown there!

Plus, more than half the people voted for trump, that’s scary, and I wonder where the future leads for Americans.
Considering you never lived or worked in the USA you are not in position to dispense advice on living in the USA. Why do you need to send stuff to Ukraine? I thought Poroshenko along with the Americans created paradise for the population. Also there is no free healthcare in Canada. Your taxes pay for it as well as user fees. In Ontario there is specific amount you contribute to healthcare costs based on your income level and that’s on top of regular income taxes you pay.
Canada is good country. But I don't is bitter then Us. In us u make a lost of money and friends. If I have to choose I will choose us. what I like mostly is then are the friendly
Thats not true! We dont have user fees on our health care, and it doesnt go by our income. Not in Ontario anyway. I pay taxes and that is about it. Its cheaper to live in Canada because we dont have health care costs. We also now get prescriptions free for our kids up until they are twenty five.
If you ever want to interview a US citizen now living in Edmonton, AB Canada (permanent resident) about differences I've noticed, just ask me. Some of the things you said about healthcare in the US and other subjects were rather inaccurate.

Middle class life in the US is very difficult to come by. America is a place for people with a more entrepreneurial mindset where you are free to make whatever decisions you need to make in order to live a good life.
If you're the type of person that doesn't care about entrepreneurship and just wants a decent paying job, a roof over your head, and a normal middle class life, Canada is more for you.

I came to US in 2014, I have to say I worked my ass off and got my bachelor degree, during this time I thought I can’t make it and many times I was to quit because of tension, stress, racism and hardworking situation, I fought all and stood strong, well now I’m in peace, hard work really works my friends, if you are a mama baby well US is not for you, US and CAN is not even comparable, CAN is what like 35M in population, now I see why the entire world wanna compete with US, just my opinions, wherever you are, make a great plan for your upcoming 10 to 30 years well this is how it is in US other than that you are wasting the golden time, I have read the comments and majority says oh we wanna get our ass a lifetime rest, sleep until 10am, flip up and down on phone, listen to grandma’s stories for over 100 times, go out and talk with other dudes about big ass girls, and the government should pay for it, hahaha that way you are not welcome in US,

It's hot as hell in Texas. It starts getting hot here in March and stays hot until late October. I use to live in California and I really miss it.
Some of these are depending on what parts of these countries you live in.
It balances out, but as an American citizen I don't understand why people are scared of a one payer healthcare system. A lot of Americans are without healthcare and it's not cheap if you have employer based insurance.

About HC:
Although HC in Canada is free, you have to wait for months to see a specialist.
Thanks for your very informative videos

@@diegoperez2090 In US hardwork and effort are highly regarded and rewarded. Not so in Canada. It’s much more encouraged and socially acceptable to be mediocre in order not to offend others. I’m not angry with you because everything you had said is 100% true. I’m young so I like being in the U.S because of the financial reward but I feel bad for the children that go hungry (1 in 5) and I feel bad for the elderly because sometimes they have to eat dog food in order to purchase their medicine.

@@imfunaplaymahgames8880 let me ask you this question - how can Americans be homeless or poor if foreigners can prosper in the US? Same goes for any European country.

Anybody in Europe or Asia given the opportunity to choose between Canada and America will choose America. I’d say 95%. That's what everyone does because nobody succeeds in the misandrist, socialist trash country that is Canada. Everyone I knew left, so am I.
