Been watching your videos for almost 3 years, so fun to see how your channel has grown! I only started watching UA-cam makeup videos because I wanted to help my then middle school daughters with makeup and I was hopeless at it. Your channel was one that piqued my interest because my youngest is a super pale redhead with freckles and I knew that your foundation and color recommendations would help. Since then my daughters have learned how to do their own makeup and I actually do some of my own sometimes. Which is weird when I think about the almost nothing I put on my face for my wedding 20 years ago. My youngest is now 16 and there are literally things I won’t buy for her until I see you review it. I think the claim that foundation changes to 'match your skin' is just a ploy by brands to try and excuse their poor shade ranges. How is it possible for foundations to change to fit your skin? HOW?

Idk why but I really love how in almost every video you use different products (bronzer/blush/eye products etc) it just shows me you're always trying and playing with makeup and also using older products instead of just always using the newest releases

I use the cyo and LOVE IT. I have really dry skin and it doesn't get all caked up in my dry patches. It has a nice satiny finish (more towards dewy, but ever so slightly matte) but my local Walgreens don't carry it so I have to order it on their website.

Ugh! It's so frustrating being so pale and yellow undertoned :( I have extremely dry skin and would LOVE to try this but the lightest shade says for pink undertones and looks waaay too dark anyway (my perfect shade match is Nars Siberia). When will companies get it?? Make super fair and super dark foundations with both pink and yellow undertones, because we don't all live in the neutral middle. Ok. Soap box over. I'm glad you found a foundation you loved Taylor!
Candace Leeper I feel you! My undertones are pretty neutral but I am so pale that I can never find anything that matches. The closest thing I ever saw is Kat Von D L41. It's too pink for me and doesn't look too good on my skin but I don't have the privilege to care about that.
The too faced peaches and cream foundation lightest shade Snow is very light and yellow. i didn't get it because of how yellow it is. It may be worth a sample!
Hmm... I've stayed away from the peaches and cream foundation because it's matte (extremely dry skin) and the Born This Way in snow is waaay to pink. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.
I use drugstore makeup, but this foundation may pull me over to the high end side!!! (Although, I need a lighter shade than Taylor, so I would have to mix it with something) GREAT JOB Taylor on another successful 15 days. You are the first channel I ever subbed to, and remain my favorite YTber !!!!

lynda cumming Thus foundation is an example of how foundations can look so different on different skin. Jessica from Jambeauty89 just did a video talking about high end makeup that didn’t work and hated this foundation. She’s got normal to dry skin and likes dewy foundation but it sat crazy on her skin. You should check her video too because it is so expensive. Or go get a sample from Safora. Or see if they sell a travel size. I bought a travel size of It cosmetics CC cream and am so glad I didn’t buy the larger size bc I hate it. So many ppl rave about it but it sucked for me. When it comes to the over $30 foundations I really believe in getting multiple reviews and testing it through a sample or travel size option. I really wish the big brands did like indie companies and would sell samples. It’s such a smart idea. You can figure out shade and whether the formula works for you for $1-$5.
I’m really tempted to try it because I adore the aqua luminous concealer. The only thing about the concealer is the price. It’s almost $30, and you don’t get very much product compared to other concealers. I am not a foundation person, but I feel like I could even use this foundation in the same way that I use the concealer, for a better value. Time to go to Sephora for a sample! 😁
I tried this....it didn't last. I got the YSL Touche Eclat foundation and OMG I love it! If I need my makeup to be bullet proof but glowy this is one I reach for. Might get a sample first of them to see. I'm 43 with norm to dry skin and crows feet cuz I'm a doofus and never wore sunscreen.

Cyo is actually a little too light for her, it looks like a match because the inner part of your arm/wrist is usually way lighter then the rest of your body but CYO lifeproof is too light for her chest & neck.

You're dedication to your channel is something to be admired. You're by far one of my absolute favourite beauty influencers. I find your voice to be very soothing. You're work for Project Beauty Share hits very close to home with me as I was in the same situation, due to violence , as are these women. I know what a blessing it is to have shelters like these and to have the products to make yourself feel better can be very hard to come by. It's a humbling experience to say the least but having the things necessary to reemerge a much stronger and empowered woman is so necessary to rebuild self esteem. Can't believe it's all over, again. Loved the little shade throw about only 9 shades... You seemed unconvinced by the shade adjusting pigments and I wonder if you heard that as an Excuse rather than active inclusion xxxxx I heard a dodgy excuse for lacking inclusive shades myself
I’m the first to call a product out for not enough shades. But in this foundation it is flexible. I’ve seen Deep Bronze, the darkest shade worn on me and it looks fine. I’ve seen it on people 2-3 shades lightervabd darker than me. Becca has a good shade range on all their products so I would not put them in the undeestairs cupboard with Tarte, IT Cosmetics and Benefit.
Lolol, I tried the Almay adjusting skin tint or whatever it was....it was hilarious, it adjusted orange tint on my super fair skin. I feel like there is no excuse unless you are a new small company, to not have a huge range of shades!
I think with all of the shade levels plus considering one's skin undertone, there will most likely be varied results. I'm asssuming Becca Aqua Luminous would be wearable regardless! Either way, I must say Taylaa was glowing beautifully and she truly seemed hApPy with it. Getting a sample today and cannot wait to try it out !!
Do you not like the Eco Tools sponge you reviewed awhile back? I just wondering because you said you think RT changed their sponge and I absolutely love my Eco tools sponge I don't see you using yours so I didn't know if you decided you didn't like it or if you just forgot about it. I hate the new RT sponges they soak up SO MUCH of my product and they do not feel the same. I compared a new one to an old one and they are different. Its sad I loved the old ones!
I have tried so many affordable sponges, and I love the EcoTools one the most so far! I still want to try the Flower Beauty one and the new Sonia K ones I hear a lot about those. But I highly recommend the EcoTools one, they work beautifully. I keep a bunch of them in my kit because I can afford to stock up on those versus the Beauty blenders.
Ladies!!! Trust me....try the purple flower beauty sponge or the pink loreal one or THE NEW LA GIRL ONE!! TRUST ME. They are great if you like the RT and eco tools ones. I have those too and I like them but BY FAR my new fav is the LA Girl pink sponge. It comes in a pack of 2 for $12. Trust me. Ill never buy a real BB again. The LA Girl one is SO good!! I hear the marble sonia kashuk one is good too.

Try tarte shape tape with elf’s undereye powder!! The two together is amazing! Or even with the Charlotte tilbury powder! I have no creasing what so ever!
Christy Tomlinson for dry skin i don't think so, taylor even mentioned when her skin started gettin dry how shape tape is too drying for her now & both those powders are thicker and more matte then the physicians formula one she uses. I do like shape tape with the Charlotte tilbury powder for my oily skin clients though!
Melissa Morris I have super dry undereyes and it works great for me. The elf one isn’t heavy or thick and it’s not matte at all. It’s got reflective properties in it. Probably not talking about the same one because the one I use isn’t matte or heavy or thick. And I also don’t use the shape tape the way she use to. I use three small dots under my eye and blend it out with my fingers. I have very dark circles and that covers it just fine. She was using it super heavy and thick. There are better ways to use it if your skin is dry ( and older). And it works great for me doing it that way. I also use a wonderful eye cream before hand that I let sit under my eyes for 15 mins before I apply the concealer. It lasts all day, it doesn’t get drying and it doesn’t crease.
+Christy Tomlinson - Which eye cream do you use? I have to find a new one because my old one changed formulas, and I'm not having any luck finding one. I'm older, so need major moisture there. Taylor - Thank you so much for working so hard to bring us this series!
Melissa Morris omg I thought it was just me! I have very dry and flaky skin and shape tape makes it even worse. I use hydrating primers and exfoliate but I've never had a concealer look so cakey and dry my skin worse than shape tape. I have acne and dark circles and even though shape tape has amazing coverage, it's not worth it for me.
Talacocheta for daytime I use Belief Pete miracle eye cream, for nighttime I use kheils overnight eye cream. It works wonders. And I use tarte shape tape every day. I just don’t use it as heavy as the younger girls do. I literally dab 3 small dots from the applicator under my eyes and one on top ( to use to prime my eyes for eyeshadow.) if you cake anything under your eyes or face it’s going to dry your skin out and crease.
Thank you for swatching multiple foundations side by side, to compare tone & depth. As a very fair girl with yellow undertones, I find this step ultra helpful.
I am fair with a neutral undertone and this is not the least bit orange on me and is the most perfect shade. I could toss out my thirty other high end foundations and just use this and be happy. I loathe orange foundations. This is not one of them whatsoever

It’s so annoying how “the lightest shade” is five thousand shades darker then what I need. Every single foundations “lightest shade” is not light or pale or anything of the sorts.
Ruanda1992 agreed! The kat von d lightest shade was pretty darn close to the right shade. I need to find someone to recommend could white mixer drops. Mixing foundation is already complicated enough in regards to water based and oil based foundations and all that. So need to find a white mixer that goes well with most foundations 🧐

Me too Melissa - it's so close to the dermacol 208 which is a really great colour for me. Sadly the CYO stuff isn't available here in Oz, and Walgreens don't ship internationally.

I use the cyo and LOVE IT. I have really dry skin and it doesn't get all caked up in my dry patches. It has a nice satiny finish (more towards dewy, but ever so slightly matte) but my local Walgreens don't carry it so I have to order it on their website.

Ugh! It's so frustrating being so pale and yellow undertoned :( I have extremely dry skin and would LOVE to try this but the lightest shade says for pink undertones and looks waaay too dark anyway (my perfect shade match is Nars Siberia). When will companies get it?? Make super fair and super dark foundations with both pink and yellow undertones, because we don't all live in the neutral middle. Ok. Soap box over. Candace Leeper I feel you! My undertones are pretty neutral but I am so pale that I can never find anything that matches. The closest thing I ever saw is Kat Von D L41. It's too pink for me and doesn't look too good on my skin but I don't have the privilege to care about that.
The too faced peaches and cream foundation lightest shade Snow is very light and yellow. i didn't get it because of how yellow it is. It may be worth a sample!
I'm pale with warm undertones. I found The Ordinary foundation had a lot of options for different skin tones and undertones. Hope that helps!
Hmm... I've stayed away from the peaches and cream foundation because it's matte (extremely dry skin) and the Born This Way in snow is waaay to pink. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.

lynda cumming Thus foundation is an example of how foundations can look so different on different skin. Jessica from Jambeauty89 just did a video talking about high end makeup that didn’t work and hated this foundation. She’s got normal to dry skin and likes dewy foundation but it sat crazy on her skin. You should check her video too because it is so expensive. Or go get a sample from Safora. Or see if they sell a travel size. I bought a travel size of It cosmetics CC cream and am so glad I didn’t buy the larger size bc I hate it. So many ppl rave about it but it sucked for me. When it comes to the over $30 foundations I really believe in getting multiple reviews and testing it through a sample or travel size option. I really wish the big brands did like indie companies and would sell samples. It’s such a smart idea. You can figure out shade and whether the formula works for you for $1-$5.
I’m really tempted to try it because I adore the aqua luminous concealer. The only thing about the concealer is the price. It’s almost $30, and you don’t get very much product compared to other concealers. I am not a foundation person, but I feel like I could even use this foundation in the same way that I use the concealer, for a better value. Time to go to Sephora for a sample! 😁

I tried this....it didn't last. I got the YSL Touche Eclat foundation and OMG I love it! If I need my makeup to be bullet proof but glowy this is one I reach for. Might get a sample first of them to see. I'm 43 with norm to dry skin and crows feet cuz I'm a doofus and never wore sunscreen.

Cyo is actually a little too light for her, it looks like a match because the inner part of your arm/wrist is usually way lighter then the rest of your body but CYO lifeproof is too light for her chest & neck.

You're work for Project Beauty Share hits very close to home with me as I was in the same situation, due to violence , as are these women. I know what a blessing it is to have shelters like these and to have the products to make yourself feel better can be very hard to come by. It's a humbling experience to say the least but having the things necessary to reemerge a much stronger and empowered woman is so necessary to rebuild self esteem. Loved the little shade throw about only 9 shades... You seemed unconvinced by the shade adjusting pigments and I wonder if you heard that as an Excuse rather than active inclusion xxxxx I heard a dodgy excuse for lacking inclusive shades myself
sarahwithstars i dont think anyone buys that whole shade adjusting thing..just say you're not bothered and go
I’m the first to call a product out for not enough shades. But in this foundation it is flexible. I’ve seen Deep Bronze, the darkest shade worn on me and it looks fine. I’ve seen it on people 2-3 shades lightervabd darker than me.
Becca has a good shade range on all their products so I would not put them in the undeestairs cupboard with Tarte, IT Cosmetics and Benefit.
Lolol, I tried the Almay adjusting skin tint or whatever it was....it was hilarious, it adjusted orange tint on my super fair skin. I feel like there is no excuse unless you are a new small company, to not have a huge range of shades!
I think with all of the shade levels plus considering one's skin undertone, there will most likely be varied results. I'm asssuming Becca Aqua Luminous would be wearable regardless! Either way, I must say Taylaa was glowing beautifully and she truly seemed hApPy with it. Getting a sample today and cannot wait to try it out !!

Do you not like the Eco Tools sponge you reviewed awhile back? I just wondering because you said you think RT changed their sponge and I absolutely love my Eco tools sponge I don't see you using yours so I didn't know if you decided you didn't like it or if you just forgot about it. Mine fell apart super fast so I got a RT one and I love it
I hate the new RT sponges they soak up SO MUCH of my product and they do not feel the same. I compared a new one to an old one and they are different. Its sad I loved the old ones!
I have tried so many affordable sponges, and I love the EcoTools one the most so far! I still want to try the Flower Beauty one and the new Sonia K ones I hear a lot about those. But I highly recommend the EcoTools one, they work beautifully. I keep a bunch of them in my kit because I can afford to stock up on those versus the Beauty blenders.
Ladies!!! Trust me....try the purple flower beauty sponge or the pink loreal one or THE NEW LA GIRL ONE!! TRUST ME. They are great if you like the RT and eco tools ones. I have those too and I like them but BY FAR my new fav is the LA Girl pink sponge. It comes in a pack of 2 for $12. Trust me. Ill never buy a real BB again. The LA Girl one is SO good!! I hear the marble sonia kashuk one is good too.

Try tarte shape tape with elf’s undereye powder!! The two together is amazing! Or even with the Charlotte tilbury powder! I have no creasing what so ever!
Christy Tomlinson for dry skin i don't think so, taylor even mentioned when her skin started gettin dry how shape tape is too drying for her now & both those powders are thicker and more matte then the physicians formula one she uses. I do like shape tape with the Charlotte tilbury powder for my oily skin clients though!
Melissa Morris I have super dry undereyes and it works great for me. The elf one isn’t heavy or thick and it’s not matte at all. It’s got reflective properties in it. Probably not talking about the same one because the one I use isn’t matte or heavy or thick. And I also don’t use the shape tape the way she use to. I use three small dots under my eye and blend it out with my fingers. I have very dark circles and that covers it just fine. She was using it super heavy and thick. There are better ways to use it if your skin is dry ( and older). And it works great for me doing it that way. I also use a wonderful eye cream before hand that I let sit under my eyes for 15 mins before I apply the concealer. It lasts all day, it doesn’t get drying and it doesn’t crease.
+Christy Tomlinson - Which eye cream do you use? I have to find a new one because my old one changed formulas, and I'm not having any luck finding one. I'm older, so need major moisture there.

Melissa Morris omg I thought it was just me! I have very dry and flaky skin and shape tape makes it even worse. I use hydrating primers and exfoliate but I've never had a concealer look so cakey and dry my skin worse than shape tape. I have acne and dark circles and even though shape tape has amazing coverage, it's not worth it for me.
Talacocheta for daytime I use Belief Pete miracle eye cream, for nighttime I use kheils overnight eye cream. It works wonders. And I use tarte shape tape every day. I just don’t use it as heavy as the younger girls do. I literally dab 3 small dots from the applicator under my eyes and one on top ( to use to prime my eyes for eyeshadow.) if you cake anything under your eyes or face it’s going to dry your skin out and crease.
Thank you for swatching multiple foundations side by side, to compare tone & depth. As a very fair girl with yellow undertones, I find this step ultra helpful.

I am fair with a neutral undertone and this is not the least bit orange on me and is the most perfect shade. I could toss out my thirty other high end foundations and just use this and be happy. I loathe orange foundations. This is not one of them whatsoever

It's so funny that you reviewed this Foundation today because I watched another UA-camr reviewing the same Foundation earlier and she was saying how much she hated it and it looks terrible on her skin. It’s so annoying how “the lightest shade” is five thousand shades darker then what I need.
Every single foundations “lightest shade” is not light or pale or anything of the sorts.

I need to find someone to recommend could white mixer drops. Mixing foundation is already complicated enough in regards to water based and oil based foundations and all that. So need to find a white mixer that goes well with most foundations 🧐
