What if i didnt have a good cppa and i was told to just check all the boxes as “I do not want advances” and didn’t realize what these things meant until after the fact… really wish i saw this sooner

Have you already transferred? If not request it now. If yes you should be able to claim it on your travel claim at your new command. You’re entitled to the money, you just need to request it.

@@SouthernDeaux yes im at my ultimate now and I’ve been down about it because the situation is so dumb, i couldve gotten a lot of money from the 2 & 1/2 month per diem and DLA. I hope your right! I’m going to request it

I do not believe this is a situation where you would be entitled to DLA. It’s normally only during a PCS.

As far as I am aware all you need is to request it on your TIS. If you don’t request it ahead of your PCS you can still request it at your new station with your personnel department.

Are you just joining? This is a benefit normally for PCS moves not initial entry. However speak to whoever handles your pay they should be familiar with DLA.

Ideally you request it prior to your transfer. Otherwise it can be reimbursed after your pcs
