Does the military fully cover your move from post to post? I'm supposed to be going to BCT from Japan to Georgia. My wife and I have a lot of questions and can't get a clear answer from my recruiter and what he says is different from what I find online.

You’ll get a government travel card that pays for food. Gas and lodging during your allotted travel days. Then you get house hunting leave and get to stay on post got a certain amount of days

i guess im confused, you said they take it back? then wha \t if you are short the next three months? why wouldnt you just use your savings. I feel like there is something missing
You repay over the course of 12 months. So like 580 a month (290 a check). You have to be strategic because you’ll be short for 12 months after

My husband had to request it with his leadership, usually they go over everything to make sure it is the right approach, if you have all of your finances in order usually they approve it. Especially during moves
