As a military mover, i would recommend that members have the packers use security seals on all high value and sensitive boxes...such as cds, dvds, collections, etc. This can insure that carton tamper proof.

You are right on point about the topic you are talking about. It’s great that you take time to do it because there’s a lot to know about things you have to do at times. Knowing the details surely help. As a career military person, now a veteran. I wish I had information like this. Keep it up.

In Maryland I lived in two houses on Base on Fort Meade. First was Allsworth Court and I also in the Anyways our house in Allsworth Court was 2 story house. The only down side was that we had to drive our trash to a machine and we pressed the button for the trash. I also did a slip and slide that summer in Maryland for my first summer before I started swimming at the base pool. Then I lived on a Ranch house on Craig Street from June 2010 to June 2011. I also would have fresh strawberries from the backyard.

Hi.. Is there a time frame for the time the soldier has to report to the time the family has to arrive or does everyone have to go together? Like can the family come 6 months after the soldier and still get everything paid for by the military

Would all of this information pertain to a military service member after Basic Training/AIT who has dependents? I'm wondering if we move the things we have, or just start fresh at the first base assignment.

I lived in Two houses on Hickam. One was Earhart which was ranch house. This house I could walk to and from my school because it was so close to my school and I also my own private alley way to a swing and I was the only kid to use this swing at the time most of the time. The only downside was that my parents had to deal with cockroaches in the house.
Then I moved in Gemini Avenue which a two story house in July 2006 which where I would ride my bike on the court with other kids on that street who became my friends later such as Grace Balda and Bethany Scott and Gabby. We also would have potlucks on our court for Thanksgiving and Christmas and we would have inflatable water slides and I also went to Josh and Remmy house for a Valentines day party in February 2009 with the other kids while my mom celebrated at our house with the other adults.

I lived in different houses when My dad was Active duty when I was a kid. First there was my house on East Nassau place when i lived in Colorado. There I would play in my dinosaur sand box and my blue swing set in the backyard and I also had an inflatable pool when I was younger. I also play with some kids on the court that I lived on I had a girl named Brianna on the court when I lived on East Nassau Place who I would play with and it was her and her dad as her parents were divorced as well as a boy and girl who name I can not spell I played a dvd game with them once when they came over to my house to play and I even went to their house one time without my mother knowing and she got scared. I also once played outside with Ryan and Emma at their house in Colorado Springs. I also would play on my blue swing set outside too and I also would play with my dinosaur sandbox outside in the backyard of my house and I also would swim in an inflatable pool when I was little. This house was 2 story plus a basement.

OK if you do a Diddy, movers will not touch it you’re responsible to getting it from your old house to your new house
When moving companies hire subcontractors we have to make sure items are not damaged so if you pack your items, it will be unpacked and repacked, because that would be a false claim on your end and that’s illegal .
It’s digital nowadays so pictures need to be taken to show the condition of the items that are broken.
Never prepack because we know you guy’s are hiding stuff .
We have rules and regulations for a reason. You can’t take liquids overseas you can contaminate the marine life that’s why no liquids are allowed overseas. You are not allowed to take open food because it attracts bugs and rodents. and many other things we cannot take for a reason.
All companies have different rules and regulations so before you are rude to your movers and packers and your coordinators, you might want to read up on your emailes texts calls .
It’s not a movers job to organize your home when you get there we’re just responsible to unpack and take the debris. Flat surfaces is what we’re told to put items on for an unpack.
High value items are 3000 and up on price per item. And you need to have proof of tickets of authenticity for proof of the items worth.
And your pro gear is only to reduce your weight, allowed, on household goods. Weight allowance.. depends on your rank.
I wouldn’t scare people like you are it’s not that bad. If everybody does their part, it goes very smooth.
I don’t understand why Packers and movers are treated so disrespectfully you can track your items if they are lost they have a section where you check it off when it goes into a warehouse and when it goes out of a warehouse and when it goes to your new house, so that’s how you find your items that have been missing probably not stolen.
I’m guessing you had a bad experience or two .
Hope you’re next pack and move is better for you now you know more about the process

    Hello Ashley,
My name is Dennis Youngblood, and I am a medically retired oral and Maxillofacial surgeon living in Las Vegas. Because of my heart condition, I’m relegated to spend much more time at home watching television. As such, I can across your UA-cam channel this morning and watched a few videos.
After watching a few and liking them, it became apparent to me that they really don’t necessarily apply to me exactly. Nevertheless, I found them worthwhile. But after all the watching, I still don’t know who you are, what your story is, and what you’re doing now. The videos I watched were a year old so I don’t know if you left the Air Force or Peace Corps, or what you’re doing these days. Where are you from? Undergrad? Law school? Your parents? I’m a father of four daughters, none of which followed me in to my profession or my wife’s. You mentioned that you had a sister in one of the videos, and it just made me curious about your path. Okay, enough of the inquisition. Have a great day!
    Dr. Dennis Youngblood

Dr. Youngblood, I think as a UA-cam host I would be similar to Ashley (i.e. not say too much about me personally but provide quality content). Now I understand that after watching so many videos, you do start to become more interested in learning about a person's background. With that being said, Ashley, we wholeheartedly appreciate your efforts and would love to learn more about you, what you're comfortable sharing of course. For me, I'm an Army wife. My husband just enlisted and I am trying my best to learning as much as I can while he's at training. Take care everyone. :)

    So, I have a... Request.
I'm having a fanboy argument on another channel (Star Trek TNG. I'm sure you know how annoying, and argumentative, we Trekkies can be). The point of contention is about Season 6 Episodes 10 and 11. The argument is about which officer is right, Jellico or Riker. My position (and the reason a specifically looked for a JAG lawyer), is that Riker should have been court-martialed for his actions in those episodes. Another fanboy (former German military) contends that Jellico should have at least been reprimanded for his conduct. Obviously you couldn't speak about German military law, but I would be interested in a legal analysis from a US JAG perspective. If you care to weigh in...
