    Nicely done review. Lots of newcomers on the watch UA-cam scene recently but this is good content and I hope you get some nice growth soon 👍

    Got mine a few days ago. Very nice watch. High quality materials.
    The alleged NH35 Seiko movement inside has no adjustments and has unbalanced advance/delay in the 6 positions.
    It has delay in the 2 critical positions in which the watch is most of the time : 6 up and 9 up. Position 6 up delay is - 8 seconds.Position 9 up delay is - 48 seconds. That’s too much!. I’ll have to fix that if possible. I wonder if I have a Japan NH35 or a Malaysia NH35 inside. The average delay is around - 10 seconds with the advance of the other positions. During the night I put the watch in 3 up position that has a 12 seconds advance to catch-up.
    Very nice and good looking watch anyway.

      Oh man, you're way more technical than I am in terms of the movement and how accurate it is. I didn't go into that much detail as to how well the NH35 in my flieger watch performed, though I am certain that Escapement time didn't regulate the movement before sending it out so its most likely how it just came from the factory they got it from. Hopefully it is from Japan though.

    I have this Escapement Time Flieger B, very high quality, nothing to complain, i hesitated to buy a San Martin and no no no regrets with this Escapement, the best !! There are treasures into Aliexpress !! 😉

      The quality vs cost for this Escapement Time flieger is really unmatched. I just pushed a review for the Addies Dive Flieger watch as well and it doesn't really stack up to this in terms of quality. However, the Addies Dive is a slightly better size for me at 39mm with a date window, which may or may not be for everyone.

    Type A is for pilots. Type B is for navigators. I have the ET chronograph flieger and it is awesome! Beautiful finishing, exceptional value.

    Great video. What does it mean when you say ghost winding?

    • @TheChirpyPanda
      @TheChirpyPanda  3 роки тому +1

      The ghost date thing is that there is actually a date complication in the movement but because the dial doesn't have a cut out to show the date on the dial, it becomes like a ghost date (or a blind date). The manufacturer really should've used a movement that doesn't have a date function but for $100USD, I really can't complain.

      @@TheChirpyPanda thanks. Understood. Great vids. My personal observation.. the background music when you talk can be distracting to some viewers even when low. Nothing major but something i read on channel tips

    • @TheChirpyPanda

      Ah fair call, would it be better if its super faint in the background or just like, silence? lol, I always feel weird to have no background music.

    • @robcoin
      @robcoin 3 роки тому

      @@TheChirpyPanda Yeah Silence is better. The main subject is you're narration and that should highlight. Especially when the listener is concentrating on the tips and info you are conveying. I know. Feels naked with just talking but it's better. Some people dont notice it, but I read up and lots of youtube pro channels say its better without.

    Hope this comment finds you well bro. Great video by the way...
    If you are still doing this when I said this, could you take a look at the Casio Duro and the Orient Mako 2, the non-US version? I'd like to know your opinions about them. Thanks. :)

    There are two Fliegers that rival this one.
    The Steeldive which has poorer finish & QC but stronger lume.
    And the ER Titanium Flieger

      @TheChirpyPanda  3 роки тому

      Great minds think alike! I actually got the Steeldive (Addies Dive) flieger watch unboxing coming up as well. However, I'll need to check out this ER Titanium Flieger you speak of. Are they also on Aliexpress? I can't find it on Google

      Ah lemme try find it. There is also the San Martin but that is closer to $300usd but isn't that much better build quality

      San Martin & Cronos/LUGYOU does have better QC & quality than Steeldive but the brushing isn't as fine as the Escapement Time/FOD Fliegers.
      Their lume however does beat out the Escapement Time/FOD Flieger in terms of brightness and longevity.

    • @TheChirpyPanda
      @TheChirpyPanda  3 роки тому

      Ah got you, having said that, you are paying a premium for the lume, so it really depends whether that aspect is super important or just a nice to have. This Escapement Time Flieger really hits the right spot for price vs value, just wish it used an NH38 instead.

      Roger that my man, I've been working on fine tuning the music in the background and future videos have a much softer faint background music. I'm still learning /testing things so do bear with me.
