I recently saw another video about an escapement time watch; and the reason why this brand had limited models or is not widely available, is because its completely run and hand assembled by one guy. It is a one man operation who does this as a hobby.
These Escapement Time Fliegers are decent offerings, you get what you pay for which is no bad thing in this case. Btw, I'm also a follower of Honest Watch Reviews and I liked you shout out to his channel, it was a nice touch. Cheers, Shane!

I currently have three Escapement Time pieces in my collection. I actually recently reviewed another one of their watches, which has a PT5000 movement and a pretty interesting design as well.
Not a problem. You have put a lot of work into your channel and deserve it. Whenever someone is the first to find something they should always get some credit. Plus I know how it is when a bigger channel reviews the same thing and sometimes pushes a video down in the search rankings. Happened to me plenty of times. One of my first videos to get to the top of the search rankings was on the Hamilton Khaki Mechanical. For 3 weeks it was doing really well. Then TGV put out a video on it, and other big channels soon followed. Dropped like a rock after that.

I own this one, and really enjoy it. Great case finishing and that dial looks great IMHO. Since the seconds hand is on a sub dial, you don't even notice that it's a quartz. To bad their automatic fliegers are bigger (too big for me), otherwise I'd get a Type B model as well.
Just lovin' that black sailcloth strap with orange stitching which contrasts beautifully with the Quartz Chrono - I n fact I'm lovin' it so much that I've just pressed the buy button for both items on AliExpress.
Waiting for an Ali Express sale I got a Pagani "Daytona" chronograph for less. Screw down crown, screw lock pushers, Seiko VK63 movement and a bracelet. If you like the design it's a no-brainer.
It's ok, but the date window ruins it for me. Also, the dial seems quite dull imo. I feel like the Parnis is a better deal, but the Pagani is a solid watch nonetheless
I am a big fan of fliegers and field watches! Love lumed numerals. C3 lume and fully lumed second hand is a blast to see at night. I had a san martin flieger before, which was great for the money, but once I got my Stowa 40mm Klassic type A, I never looked back. I heard high praise on a manual wind movement, and it completely lives up to the hype! It is not like winding a hacking automatic movement, the feel/experience is completely different.
I have the Aristo 3H80 which I got from Mark at Long Island Watch. It is a type B flieger, great lum, made in Germany but it is a Ronda Quartz ... Junkers, Messerschmitt and Laco also make great fliegers.
I've had this watch for a couple months. It is stunning. I have another ET, the King Seiko homage, on the way. This is an exceptional watch, highly recommended.
i am convinced and bought 1, took 3 weeks to ship. Beside the crown lack a bit of friction, it is perfect and added into my watch collection. Thanks for the review!
That’s actually very nice for the price. Like that they went with a semi-sweeping second hand as opposed to a ticking second hand. Usually low-end quartz chrono movements have a ticking second hand.
I'm really enjoying mine, and I think you hit the nail on the head summing this watch up - it is made very well for it's price and presents great value for money. I would love to see the lug to lug distance a bit shorter too. Great review as always 👍🏻
Great review. I bought the ET type B with the NH35 movement. I love it! I was originally considering a Laco but their cheapest Aachen watch, with a Miyota movement was still over three times the price. The thermal blued hands, perfectly sized for a type B dial, 300m water resistance, sapphire crystal, wonderful sterile dial, lovely crown, this is the best value watch in my collection. I look forward to your review. The Honest Watch review inspired me to go with the ET and very glad I did.
I've watched your review on it! It's a very clean design and SO close to being an everyday watch apart from it's long lug to lug which doesn't do well with our 6.2-6.5 inch wrists. I think it would look amazing on an orange brown rally leather strap

I got both. They are just great ! The NH35 automatic Seiko movement in the B-Uhr is not well adjusted in all 6 positions. There is a - 40 seconds delay in the 9 up position.
Redemption! After watching the 2020 top 10 video, I was disappointing at the lack of Quartz. OK, this watch would probably not make any top 10 but hey, it's a great value. You are now redeemed. I received one of these a week ago. 1 nit pick would be the painting on the sub dials is a little rough and I feel guilty about the Fleiger /Chrono mash-up. Not quite authentic. Sapphire, quartz, 100m., $90. What's not to like here. Engineers bracelet is on the way. Detroit Mint Chrono is next on the list. Keep em coming Shane.
I have the Flieger B-Style from Escapement Time now for more than 6 months as a dayly watch and it's a great watch. Accurate enough, only changed the strap to a correct strap with rivits. I was looking for an affordable flieger (so not a Laco watch), with no brand name or other irrelevant prints on the dial. Also with a union shaped crown. This is everything with a reliable Seiko NH35 movement. P.S. I love your reviews ;)
One thing I love about your reviews is how you swap the strap between shots without even saying anything, that's still something I don't see on other channel, so that's your special gift :) Have been keeping up with most of your content even though I don't always comment, but had to comment with this one as it's something that I like, mainly because it's very sterile and bold...and those blue hands is a great touch! 3:03 what make is that brown stitched strap? looks perfect for one of my watches :) Cheers as always my friend and next I'm going to see your video you done live recently... All the strap swapin takes up time, but I always like how the videos turn out. Plus I think it keeps it a little more entertaining to see it being switched up. That's actually the strap that it comes with. Surprisingly good on top of everything else.
Stumbled across these on Ali last night and ended up ordering a Type B. Looking forward to your review. I really think that glossy black dials look 10x better than matt on these fliegers.
I have their Type B and it is awesome. I was back and forth between that and the Tissel that is never in stock and went with the ET and very happy with that purchase. Really liked the leather rally strap you showed in the video, that looked interesting... Would like to see a comparison with a German flieger, always interesting to see what is comparable aside from the whole heritage factor.
Looks decent, I'd be tempted if they had used a Seagull mechanical movement as quartz isn't my thing. Look forward to your review of the automatic. Cheers 👍🏻
Good review, Shane. I like this watch. I don't find the two different whites as off putting as I am sure some do. I am open minded about quartz (or, at least; I try to be). The thing I would be concerned about would be that it's among a small offering by a single vendor on AliExpress. I have yet to test the waters with Ali. It's just, perhaps; never having done it. I would be concerned if it was from eBay or Amazon, too. I always try to be prudent without being overly cautious.
That one is more of a grey cloth in the middle, although I think they have a blue one. It's actually a pretty affordable strap from Ritche. I think they have their own site, otherwise they are usually on Amazon. Usually I put links to the straps I use in the description (since people usually ask). So if you can't find it, check that.
Escapement Time is like Phylida, among the better quality brands for the money in aliX. Perhaps with a more established name. By the way, love your soothing reviews.

I would like it very much when watch straps would come without the holes, so I can punch three holes myself: one for the right size and one plus and minus. After all, what is the point of having 7 up to 12 (!) holes in a watch strap?
I am obviously doing something wrong. I just received my Flieger type B about a week ago, after waiting about 5 weeks. It has been nothing but unreliable! You know the old saying "even a broken watch is right twice a day"? Well that is only true if it is completely broken. The only way this thing is right twice a day is if I set it manually twice a day. I wore it for 2 hours last night to see if winding it some would help my understanding is that an automatic watch winds itself when you wear it but whatever. It kept time for 2 hours and then when I woke in the morning it was an hour off. I'm concerned about over winding it. I don't want to send this back to China it would be so long before I get it back I don't know that I like it that much. I will say the build quality feels excellent so I'm very conflicted. It's wrecking my head!
Well that sucks. So first off did you get the Tybe B Auto with the Seiko NH35A movement, or the other one they have on there with the PT5000? Supposedly the PT5000 is pretty good, but it is a Chinese clone. Whereas the Seiko is the same Seiko movement that goes in a lot of their own watches. You can overwind an automatic, so be a little careful. Yet most modern movements have ways to prevent that. So typically with a Seiko movement, you can wind it about 20 times to get a good amount of power. At least a day of power if not the full 40hrs. So I'd let it run down, then try that and see how long it goes. Although you don't want to wind it 20 times after you have been wearing it a full day. Now if it's running continuously but just off, then something could be wrong with the movement. Could be that it just needs to be re-regulated, or could be something more. Eitherway you probably want to take pictures with your cell phone. When you set it, and when you check back on it just to document there is an issue. If that's the case then contact Escapement Time and see what they say. On a $100 watch, it's really not worth sending it back. So sometimes they are nice and send you another one, or they may refund your money. If not, then you need to "escalate" the issue with Aliexpress themselves. This is where having some photos comes in handy. I've never Escapement Time for an issue, so I can't say how good they are. Yet I've had to escalate some other watches with Aliexpress themselves. Both times I had photos/video of the issue, and Aliexpress refunded me the money directly.

I couldn't wear it all day because I really like to be able to tell the time on the watch I'm wearing it's not just a fashion thing for me and it was driving me crazy. When I got home the second hand was dead stopped and when I picked it up it started running again. Of course the time was way off and I had just set it this morning. I like what you said about taking pictures and I'm going to do that tonight. Apparently I still have 15 days to send it back I will just request a refund if that happens.
Just measured it. Width is 42.3 without, 46 with the crown. 50.4 lug to lug, 12.3 thickness. So lug to lug is a little long, but otherwise not bad. Also has a surprising 300m of water resistance with screwed down crown.
@@jaykayenn Very True. Sometimes I wonder about these watches and wish I had a good way to test them. I've seen a few cheap testers on eBay, but they only seem to go up to 6bar.
I think the store is marked as "on Vacation" so it doesn't show up in searches. If you click on my link in the description it pops up, but there is a note saying the owner is going in for surgery and should be back next week. Hopefully he will be ok, but it's a one man shop and he can only do so much.

The PT-5000 is a boss of a movement and is as good as the ETA version. I've been getting +1.5 daily for over a year! Cheers Viper...

Fantastic watch with an odd taper on the strap. Like you I prefer a type B flieger, my first automatic watch was a type B

With a quality riveted Stowa Flieger Strap, the ET actually comes dangerously close to the Stowa.

I like the fact that the lugs are more tapered on the chrono.
There are very similar watches available with the hand-wound Seagull chronograph movement and sapphire.
I just looked at the back of mine and it says "ESCAPEMENTTIME" on the case back.

The blue textile strap with brown leather @ 9:58 is very interesting. Where is it from? It looks a bit like some from the Japanese firm Knot Designs.

I looked at the website for $215 more you can get a ETA 2824 with 300mtr. Water resistant that might be the deal ⌚

I doubt if the water 💦 rating is accurate but the reality if we swim typically the watch will not go deeper than 10 ft deep

Is there any problem for "escapement time". I cant see the available store in aliexpress
I think the store is marked as "on Vacation" so it doesn't show up in searches. If you click on my link in the description it pops up, but there is a note saying the owner is going in for surgery and should be back next week. Hopefully he will be ok, but it's a one man shop and he can only do so much.
@@RelativeTime dial and case quality looks better than same prices watches. We assump they are on vacation and buying option will be available again:) I am little confused with addiesdive pilot and escapement to buy. Totally which one is better for you as all?
@@aliakay112 the escapement time is the better watch by far, but you'd have to wait and see if they come back.
