Srixon is the most under rated golf brand. All their clubs are top notch and a good value.

Agreed... the v-sole in the irons is spectacular, on top of being a top quality forging. I found last series of driver spun too much for me. Never tried the woods. Obviously Cleveland wedges are top in class. Don’t forget best in class ball value too.

That's an understatement Srixon makes as good a driver as Callaway TaylorMade if you watch this video you will see Michael Newton carry it 307 total distance of 335 he tests every Club that's come out this year and nothing goes further I have last year Srixon 785 and it is a bomb I did professional long drive for 17 years I am 70 years old and I still clock 114 swing speed 165 ball speed with a Srixon driver you can buy a used z785 for under $200 with a diamana shaft in it you can't beat it if you want to spend 550 by the zr7

    • @wnfakind9197

@@ricktwist1935 I agree Srixon make good drivers but are they a fair bit better than Taylormade and Callaway as it’s the same price , you can also get a cobra radspeed which is also a great driver and it’s 100$ cheaper. So is the Srixon for the price more appealing to buyers ? Probably not as they don’t advertise nearly as much as the other brands . That being said I have a ZX7 as I wanted to be different than everyone else 👌. Cheers

I'm still rocking the Z585 and I adored that thing hits it great even without all the fitting, bought one off the rack and gaming with it right away.
Too bad that they abandoned the fixed hosel with ZX drivers I'm noticeably did much better with fixed hosel than adjustable ones.
I'll be sticking with it a bit longer since I'm penniless for any kind of golf clubs this year.
But man I could really use a new set of Irons...SRIXON will be on my watch list as soon as I can afford them.

That higher MOI ZX5 was producing a WAY better spin profile during fades at 2200rpms, versus 3000+ for the ZX7 - almost like something is wrong with that ZX7. The trick of ordering the more stable head (ZX5), in the 10.5-degree loft, and then opening/de-lofting it, 1 or 2 clicks, is something I would encourage a lot of better players to look at doing because it seems that the more draw biassed higher MOI heads, opened/de-lofted, are perfect power fade clubs. Put that driver in your bag - it's the best combo I've ever seen you hit.

Hi Mike, great vid. Interesting to see you adjust the zx5 head down a degree or so to make it look more square at address. I have a taylormade 10.5 deg M2 driver, and I have had to set it to 2 deg lower to try and get it square at address. It seems to be the trend to make all drivers with a slicer in mind. Can you recommend a 3 wood that can be adjusted to sit as square as the ZX5, have a slight fade, and give similar great results.. thanks Nick

Hi Michael, It would be nice to compare the ZX 5 & ZX7 to the king cobra F9 SpeedBack 2019. I have just bought an F9 and it is another step up from the Taylormade M4 that I was using. I'm averaging 230 metres with the F9 and that is about 15-20 meters longer than the M4 and it is the most forgiving driver I've used, basically pick it up and hit it and it performs in a very consistent manor. The M4 with all the hype around the 'Twist Face' is not very forgiving at all and although I get reasonable distance I often miss fairway to the right, I have made adjustments to the M4 and it is still a difficult driver to master? Your ZX review has me interested as it appears to be very forgiving with toe and heel strikes but I was most impressed with the carry and total distance of 325+ yards. Great review, keep it coming !!

Mike, I watch most of your reviews. This seems to be one of the highest ball speeds over all the drivers you have demoed in last 4-5 months.
Would you compare these to the new ones?
Seems to be a better fit then some others I have seen you hit. Why aren’t you gaming it?
I’m in a process of just looking at what drivers are out there. Srixon is the one that has less availability to demo. So trying to get as much info as I can at the moment.

To be fair my swing speed was 2/4 mph faster when I filmed the Srixon video, end of the summer and probably had less layers on compared to recent videos! Ball speed was at 166, generally around 160/162 purely because of clubbed speed. Hoping to get hold of the Srixon drivers again to compare against other brands in a more direct comparison. Very good driver though

Its likely there was more actual loft on the zx7 than the zx5, also if he faded it a little more that would also explain it. One problem with these tests is that manufacturing tolerances can definitely alter things. With loft it's +/- 1 degree. So it's likely he got a slightly lower lofted zx5 than the zx7. Most reviewers don't have a spec guage to accurately measure the real loft on the head so no way to know what the spec really is.

Michael Newton Golf It is more than that. I believe the second shot with the ZX7 you show in the video has a carry distance of 299 with 3280 spin and ball speed of about 166. There is no way you can get 299 carry with 166 ball speed, and certainly no way to do so with that speed and 3280 spin. Trackman’s own optimization chart shows that you need 170 ball speed to get 295 carry. Check your settings and see if your elevation is correct; your numbers indicate it may be set at a pretty high elevation.
