- After having explored the basics of painting volumes in the previous muscle painting tutorial, today I apply that knowledge with a desaturated palette to achieve a more deadlike result. No propper washes were used to achieve the look, just plain acrilyc paint and some water.

Very good work. This method of lightly washing then highlighting the most raised parts of muscles is a very good way to get used to layering. The round, bulbous shape of the muscles creates volume for you.
thank you
nice work, for me i think i like the purple wash for a little more natural shadows, although the blue suggests moonlight in a graveyard. like the video, keep it up.
thank you!!!
Thanks for this, the blue tinted skin is exactly what I want for the skinner walkers in Zombicide Rue Morgue to make them stand out.
glad it was of help
I think i like the blue the best. They all three have a nice subtle variance though.
yeah, forgot to do a greenish one. didnt come to mind
Nice inspiration, thanks for sharing !
Simple but effective 🙂 I 'll try this on some old Rackham zombies 👍
makes me happy to hear it inspired you and youll give it a try, THX
Looks great.
thank you
Going to try that on my batch of zombie walkers from cmon Zombiecide 2 ed
Super cool.
Can you share paint colors used?
vallejo blue grey pale for the base, purple and dark sea blue mixed with turquoise for the washes, highlight again with blue grey pale, sky blue and deck tan
Those don't look like 32mm figurines, what are their scale?
they are 34mm tall
Great technique, but the loud background music at the same time as the talking was super hard on .y auditory processing disorder. I couldn't finish video.
sad to hear that :(
