Celebrating James Andrews, M.D.

Children’s Health leaders, team members and special guests gathered on May 17, 2024, to thank the namesake of the Children’s Health Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine for making life better for young athletes across our region. A legend in sports medicine, James Andrews, M.D., joined forces with Children’s Health in 2015 to establish the institute, which marked the creation of the first comprehensive orthopedic institute in North Texas for children and adults. Since that time, he has helped build the institute’s world-class clinical programs, groundbreaking research and injury prevention education initiatives, ensuring unparalleled care for athletes of all ages, including the youngest, across our region.
